Warriors is a book that will keep you having to turn the page. If you think you’ve seen where its headed the next page will prove you wrong. Theres something so intricate about seeing these events unfold from various points of view; a connection is built. We are truly learning alongside the characters, you’re just immersed in the story and their lives.
Aaron Hunter remains a normal fourteen-year-old, despite the powers and information he has gained, he just has insanely complex decisions to make that no one could ever prepare for. Through it all his emotions are what you’d expect from anyone undergoing these experiences- petrified, confused and sometimes lonely. At the end of the day, he is always trying to do the right thing even if that means he’ll suffer. The relationships between all the characters grow organically and you feel entirely involved in them all. I cannot wait to see what adventure and challenge they will all face next together as a team.
The way this novel is paced pulls you further into the story, you can feel the intensity and then the following calm conveyed seemingly effortlessly. You cannot take your eyes away, between every time I read, I walked away wanting further answers and often entirely shocked by the series of events I had just witnessed, itching to get back into that world again. My mind and emotions were gripped throughout by this book, leaving me speechless when I read that final page.
