She’s paid to manage his image. He’s the distraction she never saw coming.

Landing the D7 Fitness account should be the highlight of Hallie’s PR career. Instead, it puts her face-to-face with Barrick Wassweiler—a brooding trainer with zero interest in going viral and a habit of showing up shirtless at every shoot.

Barrick doesn’t want a brand. He wants privacy. But D7 has made him the focus of their next big push—and Hallie’s job is to turn him into a star.

Now they’re spending long hours filming tension-filled workouts, sharing coffee breaks that feel suspiciously like dates, and doing everything they can to pretend there’s nothing going on behind the camera.

But when a scandal exposes Barrick’s biggest secret, Hallie is caught between saving the man she’s not supposed to want… and protecting the career she’s worked so hard to build.

If you love steamy workplace romance, forbidden tension, and gym scenes that blur every professional line, Spin This is the bingeable romance you won’t be able to put down. Perfect for fans of forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, and slow slides into chaos.

I thoroughly enjoyed Spin This, book one in the “off limits” series. Our FMC Hallie is driven at her PR job to prove herself capable and to move within its ranks. Poised to lead a big campaign Hallie meets private Barrick, who wants nothing to do with social media branding with the company he works for, would rather keep his personal life to himself. But there is a spark between him and Hallie that neither can or wants to ignore. Barrick came off a bit flat to me. He was closed off and by the end of the book he’s barely cracked himself open to Hallie so finding they are book 2 in series made me happy. I need more of these two to get a sense of them as a couple. Hallie has a fun BFF who is book 3 so I’m excited to continue on this series.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
So this is a solid 3 🌟.
I found the story, overall, really cute, and I liked Hallie and Barrick as individual characters, both had things that made them relatable and engaging.
Despite of that I think that the love story was kind of lacking for me in terms of building up, it felt too instant and too much and too fast, although this is mentioned in the story, so it is acknowledged that they might not know each other that much.
This brings me to another point of why not 5 stars. I just feel I don't really know much about either of them just the basics, and that's not even much. In the story, we got some glimpses of Barrick, and just like the bare bones of Hallie. And like I said in the beginning , both had great potential and it is a shame it was not explored.
Also there was a plot point ot the dating apps at the very beginning that it was just passed over too quickly and never mentioned again, which was sad because it would have been interesting how that could have been incorporated in relation to the build up of the couple.
However, I think the author was able to manage awesomely a very modern and current topic of nowadays are you living for working or working for living? And I think it was nicely summarized in this quote:
"The job won't love you back."

Also a little a note. I don't really think Barrick as a grumpy character, he is just a very reserved and sweet man, who doesn't really like social media.

A quick and cute romance between PR Hallie and Gym enthusiast Barrick. The attraction between them was there fr the very beginning, and despite trying to keep it professional, they couldn't ignore the pull to each other.
I would've loved to get a bit more of a back story on both the characters and circle back to the dating app scenario.
I liked the characters and will be following their story in Part 2 - Keep Spinning.

A solid 4.5 for this one!

4/5 Romance
3/5 Spice
5/5 Growth

First off, great title. I loved the play on words and how well it suited the book!

Second, I love that this book digs deeper into the MMC’s past and personality in the first half especially, but then also uses him to bring to light more about the FMC so that there’s growth on both sides, but also that her growth isn’t based on his words/actions. Instead, their relationship makes her realize things about herself. Loved that!

I’ll admit that while the opening scene almost had me stop reading, it did a really great job of sharing insight into the FMC and who she was.
I’m glad I kept reading because considering this book is a fairly quick read, I was happy to see so much self-discovery, growth, and PLOT all done so well and so quickly.

This is also one of those rare couples that I can actually see continuing strong after the book ends. They learn from one another but never give up who they are. They learn about balance. They learn about vulnerability.
And of course, the perfectly written epilogue confirms that and gives you all the safe/happy feels.

I also really enjoyed the FMC’s best friend and roommate, Dylan, since she asks the questions that the logical readers are asking and serves as the sounding board for the FMC. We can all only wish that we have a friend like Dylan. (And maybe, hopefully, we get a Dylan book next?)

A highly recommended book for any romance lovers looking for a quick read about a career-driven woman in NYC and a private spin instructor who both learn from each other while always staying true to themselves.

The only reason it wasn’t a 5/5 is because I would’ve loved for it to be longer and slightly less abrasive at the beginning.

Spin This by L.C. Reagan is a fast-paced, emotionally charged workplace romance that skillfully weaves together tension, wit, and undeniable chemistry. Set against the dynamic backdrop of the music and entertainment industry, the narrative follows two ambitious professionals whose careers—and hearts—are set on an inevitable collision course. The heroine is a driven and sharp-witted force of nature, determined to make her mark, while the hero is a quintessential "workplace bad boy" whose charm is matched only by his knack for pushing her buttons. Their journey from professional friction to fiery passion is both believable and utterly captivating, fueled by late-night studio sessions, high-stakes projects, and moments of genuine vulnerability that reveal the people beneath their professional façades.

L.C. Reagan excels at character development. The heroine is a standout—a deeply ambitious and witty woman who is easy to root for. Her verbal sparring with the hero is electric, and their dynamic is a masterclass in building and releasing romantic tension. The hero, in turn, is a compelling mix of confident alpha and sincere softie, making his emotional journey all the more rewarding to witness. The author masterfully employs classic romance tropes, including enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity, giving them a fresh, high-stakes twist within the professional setting. The story also thoughtfully explores significant themes of self-discovery, trust, and the delicate balance of finding love without losing one's own identity.

The prose is modern, razor-sharp, and so engaging that it becomes impossible to put down. With a spice rating of 🌶️🌶️🌶️, the book delivers multiple explicit scenes that are not only passionate but also deeply tied to the emotional connection between the characters, making the physical intimacy feel earned and meaningful.

Ultimately, Spin This earns a strong 3.5 out of five stars for its perfect blend of workplace drama, fantastic character arcs, and a generous, well-integrated dose of steam. It is an absolute must-read for fans of enemies-to-lovers romance with a touch of industry glamour, and a perfect choice for anyone who appreciates a story that is as smart and well-written as it is undeniably sexy.

Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (Moderately High – multiple explicit scenes, emotionally charged intimacy)

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐✨ (3.5/5)

My Rating System:

1⭐️: The book didn’t hold my interest and/or had significant issues that overshadowed any redeeming qualities for me, but generally not my cup of tea. Most likely did not finish the book.

2⭐️: The book didn’t quite resonate with me, and while my experience wasn’t remarkable, I did finish it. It had some redeeming qualities and potential but fell short in execution. Recommendable, though with some reservations.

3⭐️: Good read, but didn’t quite stand out. Still worth recommending to others.

4⭐️: Really enjoyed it and stayed engaged throughout. Would read the book again. Definitely recommendable.

5⭐️: Incredible writing that made me deeply connect with the characters. I was completely absorbed in the world and didn’t want it to end. This book stayed with me even when I wasn’t reading it. I'd gladly reread it and highly recommend it to everyone!

I read this in one day, a short and sweet read with minimal spice. (But once they kiss 😮‍💨) definitely a good beach read or if you want a pallet cleanser in between series! A very modern contemporary romance with a strong independent FMC. I give this a 3.5/5 but rounded up to 4 for the review settings!.

I loved this book! Hallie and Barrick were such a cute couple and it was just my speed. Instant attraction, workplace romance with a minor speed bump towards the mid-end leading to a happily ever after.

Read this in about an hour, but I wish it could’ve kept going!.

This was such a quick, easy, and emotional read. Both the FMC and MMC grew through this experience and came out the other side for the better with their HEA. There were a few gut punches. A recommended read.

Didn’t finish after chapter 5. And I skimmed just to get to that point. The writing is for those who need their hand held throughout the story. Like the author doesn’t think that we as readers are able to know what she wants us to know unless every character, every emotion, every look, every facial expression, every situation is being thoroughly explained. The writing is so in your face and everything is over way too over emphasized.

During the first couple of chapters it is drilled into our heads how amazing Hallie is at her job. She is basically the best thing that has ever happened in social media marketing. Everyone is impressed by everything she does and all of her ideas are amazing and perfect. Everyone is impressed that she’s so good even though she’s young. The author cannot emphasize enough about how awesome Hallie is at her job. It’s not that being good at her job is a bad thing, it’s just the way it’s written. Like okay we get it, she’s Gods gift. It just starts to get eye rolling after awhile. Show us organically that she’s good at her job. The author doesn’t sort of show us using examples, but because it’s all so overemphasized it feels unnatural. Plus I find that perfect characters are extremely boring. I’d much prefer to see her making mistakes too. Like yeah she can be good at her job, but she’d be more relatable if she wasn’t the most amazing being to ever exist according to Hallie herself (or I guess the author).

Okay so then we meet barrick. Whenever I read a book where the guy “smirks” I cringe so hard. Especially if he’s smirking immediately. And it happens often in these free or cheap romance novels. I just hate a “smirky” guy. When a guy smirks, except only under very certain circumstances, he comes off as cocky and arrogant and just icky to me. I don’t know why women would find this attractive. In this book, barrick smirks a total of 5 times in just a few pages of reading about him. 5 TIMES!! Ewwww. I might be in the minority on this because so many authors put this in their books. Granted usually not so much as this author but still it’s often there and I just wouldn’t want a guy to be smirking at everything he said or smirking at everything I said. I want him to look at me lovingly. Or intensely. Or in awe. Just something other than a look that makes me feel like he finds himself just so amusing.

Also the smirking didn’t fit with what little I know of his personality. The fact that he wants to keep his personal life private is also overemphasized just like Hallie’s personality was. We are also told he’s more serious. So a guy that is more serious and private doesn’t catch me as someone that can’t stop smirking like he’s so so pleased with himself all the time. I don’t know, it’s subtle things like this that I look for in books.

It’s also emphasized that Garrick likes Hallie right away. (“Was that disappointment that flashed across his face when I told him I was leaving already?” and “I can tell when men are looking at me appreciatively and Garrick was.”). I am just not a fan of this kind of romance at all. Where the guy is hot and perfect, the girl is hot and perfect, the girl knows she’s hot and knows that the guy wants her immediately, the guy knows he’s hot and that the girl wants him too, etc. Everyone just knows everything so immediately that I don’t know why I need to finish. The book is all told in the first few chapters. No mystery at all with the romance side.

I just like subtley, nuance, and layers when I’m reading. I don’t want every detail screamed at me. I don’t want to be told what to think about every situation. I want to come to my own conclusions as the story unfolds organically.

💼 Book Review: Spin This by L.C. Reagan

She’s paid to manage his image. He’s the distraction she never saw coming.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5 Stars)

Spin This by L.C. Reagan is a flirty, tension-filled workplace romance that delivers on everything it promises: forced proximity, gym-induced slow burns, and the kind of scandal that makes you question everything. It’s spicy, smart, and bingeable—perfect for fans of grumpy x sunshine pairings and high-stakes PR chaos.

🏋🏽‍♀️ The Story

Landing the D7 Fitness account should be Hallie Clark’s moment. She’s a rising PR star with a solid reputation, ambitious goals, and a killer blazer collection. But her new assignment? Turning private, grumpy personal trainer Barrick Wassweiler into a marketable brand.

Unfortunately for her, Barrick wants absolutely nothing to do with “being famous.” He’s anti-social media, anti-publicity, and very pro-shirtless, which doesn’t help anyone’s concentration—least of all Hallie’s.

As they film promo content, coordinate campaigns, and spend entirely too much time in sweaty, emotionally-charged spaces, lines start to blur. Their chemistry is undeniable, but so is the risk—especially when a scandal threatens to take them both down.

🎧 What I Loved

1. The Tension. THE. TENSION.
From the very first gym scene, sparks fly. It’s the kind of slow-burn that builds deliciously—stolen glances, accidental touches, coffee breaks that feel a little too personal. Hallie and Barrick are walking HR violations… and I loved every minute of it.

2. Grumpy x Sunshine Vibes
Barrick is peak brooding, protective, and emotionally locked down, while Hallie brings sunshine energy, sass, and the drive of a woman with something to prove. Their opposites-attract dynamic is magnetic.

3. Workplace Romance with Real Stakes
The PR-meets-fitness-industry backdrop adds authenticity and urgency. Hallie’s job is on the line, Barrick’s privacy is at risk, and the fallout of mixing business with anything else feels real and stressful in the best way.

4. Heart Beneath the Heat
Yes, it’s spicy. Yes, the gym scenes will make you blush. But there’s also real vulnerability underneath it all—particularly as Barrick’s past begins to unfold and Hallie has to navigate her own ambition vs. her heart.

💬 Quote Spotlight

“I was never supposed to be anyone’s brand. But now? I can’t stop thinking about how good it feels to be seen by you.”
✨ Give me more emotionally damaged softies, please and thank you.

“This isn’t part of the job. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want it to be.”
🔥 And that’s when the professional boundaries officially disintegrate.

🚨 Why It’s a 4-Star, Not a 5

A few moments leaned a bit predictable, and some of the secondary characters (especially on the D7 team) felt underdeveloped. Still, the emotional core and steamy payoff kept me hooked.

Final Thoughts

Spin This is a fun, flirty workplace romance with enough heat to fog up the gym mirrors—and just enough heart to stick with you after the final page. If you love stories where tension simmers, secrets threaten everything, and professionalism doesn’t stand a chance against chemistry, add this to your TBR.

🛑 Caution: You may want to schedule a gym session after reading.

I received this book for free from Booksprout in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

If you’re looking for a quick, romance-filled read that doesn’t skimp on charm, Spin This by L.C. Reagan delivers exactly that. From the very first chapter, I found myself pulled into Hallie and Barrick’s world—and I didn’t want to leave.

One of the strongest elements of the book is the undeniable chemistry between the two leads. Hallie and Barrick have a spark that’s both fun and emotionally grounded, and watching their connection develop made for an addictive reading experience. Whether they were bantering, navigating tension, or sharing quiet moments, their dynamic was both believable and entertaining.

The pacing of the novel is brisk, making it a great choice for readers who want something satisfying in a short amount of time. Reagan’s writing is engaging and accessible, with just the right mix of sweetness, flirtation, and emotional depth to keep things moving smoothly.

That said, there were a few plot points that felt a little underexplored. Certain background details or character motivations could have used more development, which occasionally left me with questions that weren’t fully answered by the end. These gaps didn’t ruin the experience, but they did keep the book from reaching that five-star level for me.

Overall, I really enjoyed Spin This. It’s the kind of book you can easily get lost in for an afternoon, with a romance that’s both swoony and sincere. If you’re a fan of quick reads with strong chemistry and a hint of drama, this one’s worth picking up.

Not At All Steamy; Instead Insistent Reminder of Taking Time for Self!

For one PR skilled rising star at a top firm, the opportunity to develop, manage, and direct a huge account to expand, market, and brand a fitness/lifestyle firm is the ultimate dream.

Although she had risen to this position, it had not come without cost, including a long term boyfriend who resented her career ambition and her job priorities. So working, pulling all nighters, driving and demanding more of herself than she would ever allow her staff to do, she takes on the near impossible task of showcasing one of the toughest, skilled, and effective coaches from a zero social media presence to a known source, as trusted as he is by all his class participants, so loyal, rarely leaving a vacant spot in his spin classes.

And earning the trust of a consummate professional trainer who refuses to allow his personal life become less private is a near impossibility. Gradually, compromises are made as videos and posts focus on an authentic sincerity of helpful health tips, focus, and strategies until a paper flashes what should have remained personal and private about the trainer’s family. Suddenly, a simple headline in a feature section sends a campaign into a tail spin jeopardizing the PR firm and its health/lifestyle client as well as one of its top trainer ambassadors.

Distrust, panic, fear, and anger collide as all determine the best way forward, and sometimes no spin is needed, just a steadfast loyalty and perseverance. Not a typical rom com, but a healthy reminder about boundaries, about self-worth, and about work/life balance.

Cute romance with very little on-page intimacy
If you like your romance with wit, angst, secrets and revelations, you will want to read this book. It can be read as a standalone even though the next book is about Hallie and Barrick too.
Hallie is tired of meeting the same kind of guy on her dates from dating sites! After the last fiasco in which she learned a lot about gluten-free diets but little that intrigued her, she is about to give up when she sees a really goodlooking guy wanting to make a match. But her job is most important to her right now and she has been given the lead on a new large client. She must concentrate on it and not on her love life. Her best friend and roomie Dylan decides that they need to investigate the goodlooking dating-site guy. Of course, by this time she has been given the new assignment which is all about this guy’s company! Barrick is the silent, handsome type so he is hard to decipher. Hallie really should not get involved anyway since he is her client now.
Oh well, good intentions…Really cute story. Loved finding out about Barrick and his past. If you are looking for a low steam but sweet and passionate romance, please try this book. I was quite pleasantly surprised. There is a not-surprising bad actor who keeps our couple apart for a while. Great ending. Loved the epilogue. Worth the try. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through BookSirens.

Soft Hearts, Missed Sparks: A Spin That Never Caught Fire.

“Spin This” sets the stage with emotional tension and workplace flirtation that promises a delicious slow burn… but never quite delivers the sizzle. Hallie, our heroine, is relatable—wounded, driven, aching to be seen. There’s a part of her journey that speaks to the hidden cracks in many women: the need to be chosen, but more importantly, the need to choose themselves first.

But here's the rub: Hallie does the work—but not the deep, dirty kind that transforms desperation into power. Her final decision feels like a soft retreat rather than a fierce rise. She flirts with strength, but she never fully embodies it.

Barrick, our male lead, is where the story stumbles. While it's refreshing to see a man not dripping with toxic dominance, his avoidance doesn’t feel vulnerable—it feels cowardly. Instead of chasing, growing, or even challenging Hallie’s growth, he hides behind his pain. And babe, we’ve all met that man, huh? The one with “potential” who never shows up when it counts.

The writing is clean, the pacing gentle, and the premise solid. But for a book that teases steam and emotional upheaval, it never quite spins into the heat it hints at. A few near-kisses, some longing looks, and a finale that ties things up too politely left me… hungry. Not for more scenes, but for more depth. More fight. More fire.

Sooooooooooo this is a short read but all in all, pretty enjoyable.

The pacing wobbled a bit - I wanted more depth and development at the start, but then the ending felt a little too rushed. I didn’t quite get ‘grumpy’ from Barrick, more like a former military man who understandably didn’t want his life broadcast on social media like some kind of performing monkey. Fair enough, really.

Hallie really struck a chord with me, especially with her work ethic. That line - “The job won’t love you back” - ouch. Hit hard. Felt personal. Needed a minute.

Dylan stole the show for me. Total star. Honestly, everyone deserves a roomie like them - supportive, fun, and the grounding presence the others needed.

I did find myself wanting more of the story overall, but I liked what I got. A quick, satisfying read with characters who linger just a little after you close the book.

Spinning into love

-they both matched on the dating app...Are we not going to talk about that?

-I love how the author makes everything so easy to read.

-close door romance

Final thoughts
I felt like this book could really use a dual POV as Barrick's character is such a private person that you need more information about his back story. We could imply at the beginning that Lucy was his daughter but was the lady with her a nanny or her mom? Also for Lucy's character to be such a pivotal part in the second half of the book even though she was not on the page it would have benefited to have Barrick's POV.
I really enjoyed this author's style of writing how they kept it very short and quick and the passages were broken up for it to keep your attention and be very easy to read. However for this book's length I felt like the author was trying to write a short story but was not able to get all of the background information in, especially backstories and past relationships.

An Interesting Concept That Didn’t Quite Click for Me

This workplace influencer novel had such an intriguing premise — the kind of book I expected to be a total page-turner. The story is well structured, and the characters are nicely layered, with a believable, detailed look into the world of PR and social media.

I also liked that the romance aspect felt modern and relatable, involving dating apps and the challenges of finding real connections in a digital world. It made the book feel very current and true to how dating works today.

That said, something just didn’t click for me. I found myself struggling through parts of it, even though I can’t exactly say why. Maybe it was the amount of PR and influencer lingo, or perhaps the pacing just didn’t hook me.

Overall, it’s a well-crafted and up-to-date story that others might enjoy more than I did. For me, it was an okay read — interesting, but not one that fully pulled me in.

This book went quickly and was rather enjoyable.

Hallie is a driven, career oriented woman. She lives with Dylan, her roommate and a solid friend. She works hard and meets Barrick through the project she’s working on for her PR firm.

Barrick is a closed of, serious type of guy. He’s very focused on his job and maintaining his privacy despite the nature of said job. There are twist and turns throughout the story as things are revealed about him and his personal life but I found I was still looking for more.

Hallie and Barrick are cute together. The story went quickly. It definitely could’ve had more depth but it’s enjoyable nonetheless. The tension between them kept you going and wondering what would come next.

L.C. Reagan delivers a high-octane blend of professional ambition and undeniable chemistry in Spin This, the electrifying first installment of The Off-Limits Series. The "Grumpy x Sunshine" dynamic between Hallie, a PR powerhouse, and Barrick, the brooding trainer who despises the spotlight, creates a delicious tension that simmers through every late-night filming session and high-stakes workout. While the gym scenes and shirtless shoots provide plenty of steam, the heart of the story lies in the "forced proximity" that pushes both characters to drop their guards, leading to a high-stakes climax where a devastating scandal forces a choice between a hard-won career and an impossible love. It is a bingeable, fast-paced romance that perfectly captures the blur between public image and private desire.

This was a cute, quick little read, and also my first from this author. I would definitely read more from her.

Hallie and Barrick's connection was instant and convincing. They made me smile and swoon and kick my feet.

I don't have a lot to say - the story could have been a little longer and included a little more angst. I felt like it was a little rushed at 200 pages. I think a little more angst and a little more sneaking around before everything blew up would have made it five stars for me. However, this book was pretty close to perfect and I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a little spice mixed in with the cute, heart warming romance.

The book was a quick and fairly easy read, but it didn’t fully convince me. There was supposed to be chemistry between the characters, but everything happened too fast, which made their relationship feel a bit unnatural. The miscommunication trope felt unnecessary, especially considering the characters are adults and should have been able to handle things better. There was also a scandal thrown in, but it didn’t really add anything meaningful to the story — it felt kind of forced. Overall, the book was rather average — not bad, but nothing special either. It’s the kind of book you read once and forget soon after.

This is a book primarily focussed on the FMC and we really only get her POV, so we don't really get any insight into him.
Barrick's super closed off, private and averse to anything involving publicity.
When a privacy breach occurs, he instantly blames Hallie. Seriously...

Hallie was so hurt, ashamed and she still went to find forgiveness from Barrick.

Then, when she takes the first step towards reconciliation,

After her history and confrontation with her ex , I just wanted her to ride off into the sunset and find her own HEA.

This is a super cute story! Hallie is still recovering from a rough breakup while trying to gain and keep her footing in her professional world. Barrick is a spin instructor who is very selective about who gets to know the real him. Their worlds collide and we get to see if they are willing to put themselves out there for the thing blooming between them or will it crash and burn before it really starts. I wish it was a little longer to give a little more clarity as to why things played out the way they did but the story also does well without it.

Thank you booksprouts for the copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own!💜

I enjoyed reading Barrick and Hallie's story in the workplace romance Spin This. Hallie works for a PR firm, and Barrick is her client, a popular spin instructor at a boutique studio. The studio is looking to build a marketing campaign with Barrick and Hallie is brought in to create the strategy.

You could tell both leads had chemistry right from their first meeting. I would have liked to have learned more about the characters' stories to understand their growth over the course of the book. The pace of the book feels more like a novella than a novel.

This story is short and enjoyable read. Hallie works in PR and wants to prove herself and advance in the firm. She meets with Barrick as is working on a new media campaign, but he is so private and wants nothing to do with social media and the brand they are trying to create for his gym. He refuses to share his life. But upon meeting, you can feel their attraction, and slowly give into their feelings. The story still has a lot more to develop, and I think book 2 might help to see it fully developed.

More a Light Twirl Than a Spin . . .

What I mostly got out of this story is that Barrick Wassweiler hates publicity for some unknown reason. He seems to prefer his privacy far more. And yet Hallie is hired to do just the opposite of what he wants by promoting his image, putting him “out there”. I also didn’t find a strong attraction or romance building up between the two of them. It was more mediocre. The story wasn’t bad, but it just didn’t “knock my socks off”, if that makes any sense.

ARC Review

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cute quick read! It was written in 3rd person from the FMC point of view.
The book follows a PR Hallie and a fitness trainer Barrick. They both have an instant connection. Drama unfolds when Barrick’s secret is revealed and he blames Hallie.
How dare he!
I enjoyed reading the story line, I wish the MMC would have groveled. Instead it was the FMC that had to apologize for something she didn’t do.
I hope the upcoming book has more insight into Barrick’s POV.
