The Escape is the twenty-sixth novel in The Survivors, by Best-Selling author Nathan Hystad.
Even if you haven't read the previous 25 books of "The Survivors Series" (and you should read them), this book is extremely well written with an incredible story arc. The cast of characters and their relationships is identifiable and there are lovely pearls reminding/telling the reader about the past sprinkled throughout the book. An incredible page turning story that is unexpectedly resolved in the most unexpected way at the last second. Truly one of the best stories of the year.
Nathan Hystad, you continue to up your game with every book in this series, and others, too, of course. Jules' and Dean's daughter is now 2 years old and we get to see some of her to determine if she'll be like Jules at that age. But meantime, everyone is concerned with finding 4 disks and stopping the Great Alignment before the solar system in destroyed. Verne Dust has other reasons for wanting the disks - and Jules and Star. What a great read and now, so looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Thank you so much, Nathan Hystad.
Another exciting adventure in this series. I have loved all the Survivors stories, and there's a lot of them. They seem to get better every episode.
Even though this book can be read standalone, it's best to read the entire series from the start. I enjoy knowing all the characters intimately before I even start reading. It makes the story so much more fun.
