Nicole Langley’s #1 Crush has always been Gabriel Roberts, but settling for being a friendly acquaintance has had to be enough.

Gabriel has always seen Nicole as his good friend’s very pretty, but extremely off limits baby sister.

Then a hot summer day and an even hotter discovery pushes them over the lines of friendship, over the lines of unrequited desire, and into each other's arms.

Will they indulge and move on? Or will this crush turn into something more, something deeper? Something that leaves loose ends begging to be tied…

In #1 CRUSH Bennett does not ease her readers into the erotic nature of this story, she throws you in feet first in chapter one. That isn't a bad thing because the tone of the story is established quickly. Right away there is no question whatsoever what the heat level will be and that is five burning out of control flames!

Gabriel is fresh from a breakup with a woman who wanted to bend his natural inclinations to what she wants in a man. Gabriel is at a crossroads in his life; a failed relationship, an unfulfilling job, and a music career that is in the beginning stages are all weighing on him. Nicole is young, impulsive, curious to a fault, and uninhibited in ways that will see her getting more than she ever expected out of Gabriel. It's Nicole's curiosity that triggers an encounter that changes the dynamics of their relationship permanently.

Catching Nicole in a a compromising situation dissolves the boundary that Gabriel has placed between them. Treating Nicole as simply the baby sister of one of his best friends is no longer an option after what he witnesses. The veil of innocence surrounding Nicole has been lifted. Where once Gabriel saw Nicole as naive and innocent now he sees Nicole more as a Lolita type figure whose outward appearance of innocence is seductive and alluring. Nicole is now the provocative siren that he can't resist. Now Gabriel can't resist exploring his sexual proclivities with Nicole.

For her part, Nicole is not dragged down the path of debauchery by Gabriel. Nicole happily and enthusiastically joins Gabriel all but skipping and snapping her fingers down that road. She wants to experience all that she can with him in their very limited time together. What develops between Gabriel and Nicole is very fast paced as they gorge on each other as much as possible.

There's no over done angst, mystery, or huge plot twists in #1 CRUSH. What you get with this one is a well written erotic story with enough background and informational filler to make it a full story. It does lead into book 2, CLOSER but is not a true cliffhanger in my opinion. Gabriel and Nicole's relationship is definitely not over but the story ends in a perfectly acceptable place and since CLOSER is already out you don't even have to wait to continue the story.

I was given a ARC copy for an honest review *****

Nicole is a college student who was spending some time with her over protecting sister Jackie. Jackie's bestie Gabriel is her roommate. Nicole has a serious crush on Gabriel

“It was just a crush. It’s not…it’s not a big deal. We were always friends or so Nicole thought ....

Gabriel sees Nicole as Jackie’s baby sister.”Until one day he walked into his bedroom and found Nicole there and what he saw blew his mind...

“This was Nicole he was thinking about. She was just a cute little college girl. A cute, relatively innocent, college girl.”
Now gabriel see nicole in a whole new light...

This book held no barriers!!!
Gabriel being the man that he is He had to have a fill of Nicole ...

What miss Bennett did that many authors fails to do is show her love scene she not only tells you, she literally takes you there and more. Pure genius!!!
You will feel the chemistry oozing between These two were .. So hot and so heavy this book is a true definition of an erotica book....

She can without a shadow of doubt write a great storyline and write an even better love scene better than what I have seen in some other books.
I love the way she wrote each characters thoughts how they both were Initially drawn by each other but was afraid to act on these lingering feelings. Love how she was detail into the build up if this undeniable attraction between Nicole and Gabriel. These two will have you panting and gasping as you read those mind blowing love scenes and get a glimpse into a possible relationship neither wants to admit. Get to see how compatible they are outside the bedroom. They were good friends, they did things together, they laughed gabriel even comforted Nicole when she broke up with her ex boyfriends. I love that !!!!
I love the fact that they are both afraid to commit because of past relationship.
I can see the dynamics already unfolding. I can see Gabriel falling really hard for Nicole and she falling even harder.
I can't wait to see what's next for these two. This author Is very consistent and I expect nothing but another 5 star penned. Am so ready for the next books in this series!!!
Get this book your reading appetite will have its fill!!!

3.5 Smutastic Stars!

My first book by Bennett, it will not be my last. I didn't read the blurb or anything, I went off a recommendation from another author. This author brings the steam. The first chapter had my panties on fire.

Nicole is visiting her sister in NY for a week. She's crushed on Gabriel for years. Gabriel has always look at Nicole as a little sister. What happens when the veil is lifted? Can they spend a week fulfilling their wildest fantasies without their feelings intervening? They live apart, she's in college. He's trying to make it big with his band, their lives couldn't be any different. Yet, they share a love of books, music, and rough sex. Will one week be enough?

If you're looking for steam, look no further. This one was written porn, with some kinky. I wanted more story though, less sex. This was the explosive start full of lust and want. The sex was descript and nasty. I actually loved it, I'm glad I was in the mood because this would've been a 3 Star rating. A crush, fantasy turned reality. The throwbacks and memories between the two main characters was the build-up I needed, there's a story, but it wasn't the forefront, I needed some more conflict, more angst. The past between the two main characters are remembered, with a mixture of innocence wrapped in want. This was 3rd person, not my favorite, but somehow this worked for me. The ending is just the beginning, my thoughts anyway. No cliffhanger, but I definitely want to know what the future holds for Gabriel and Nicole. They have a fire that can't be contained.

This was pretty good. I had a very hard time getting into the story at first. The scene where Nicole is in Gabriel's room...it went on forever. I considered not finishing the book. I put it down, read another book and started again. Then it started moving in the right direction. Gabriel and Nicole were a hot item in this book. Gabriel was an unexpected surprise. He is a musician in a popular local band and comes off as low key. But boy, when he gets in the bedroom, he is a beast! He introduced Nicole to some hardcore sex, something she had no idea she would enjoy. The story ends with an unexpected surprise that had me one-clicking to download the next book!

Why Not 5 Stars?

More story less sex - I totally agree with the other reviewers, this was all about the sex between Gabriel and Nicole. Yep...porn. Would have been really good with some drama, character development, something, anything. It need a plot.

What can I say about #1 Crush? I can say that it is amazing! Kaia Bennett has knocked me upside the head again. She's amazingly talented. Great writing and story-telling. Her scenes are hot! They were great heat substitutes for this winter day. We have Gabriel. He's hot and strong and intense. Then we have Nicole. She's awesome and not afraid to tell you what she wants. Put those two together and it's epic. I loved the telling of how they had first met and the scenes from when they were learning to be friends over the years before this final head to head happened! I've said it once and I'll say it again, I've been hooked on Kaia Bennett since Sunday (another awesome book, read it if you haven't!) and there is no way I'm leaving her. She has me hooked for life!

2.75- 3 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was a bit out of my comfort zone. I honestly felt as though I was reading a porn script. I'm not opposed to graphic/erotic love scenes but this book was all about the sex. And some hardcore sex at that.
Personally, I prefer more story and less sex. I want a romance and more of a build up. I want more of a connection to the characters. I'm sure this book appeals to others more than it did to me, and I do think that those looking for this type of book would enjoy it.

I did like the writing style. There were however a lot of flashbacks in the beginning that quickly became annoying. I give props to some realistic and truthful parts that I don't always find in passionate scenes. Although other parts were overdramatized too.

Full review coming soon.

I was disappointed in this one. When I first came across this I was under the impression that this would be a romance read, but this was more under the erotica genre. But that wasn't really what disappointed me, the fact that there was a huge lack of romance. Are they sexually attracted to each other? Yes. Yet Gabriel doesn't really seem to see her that way until...well...until certain events unfold in the opening chapter.

#1 Crush by Kaia Bennett is a steamy and emotional romance that explores the complexities of unrequited love, forbidden desires, and the thrill of taking a chance on a lifelong connection, all wrapped up in a fast-paced and sultry tale of self-discovery and passion.

I enjoyed this book. This was a reread for me. I am looking forward to reading more books from this author.

The low rating is purely because this book just wasn't for me. I think had I read this maybe a few years ago, I would have enjoyed it more. The jumping into it part didn't bother me, unlike other stories, I felt what happened between the characters and how fast it happened made sense. What I didn't really care for, was the lack of substance. Also, if I had to read the phrase "dirty girl" one more time I was going to throw up. There's sexy dirty talk, then there's just cringe-worthy dirty talk, and this landed in the latter for me.

there are so many many things i loved about this book that i just don't know where to begin. in some moments i didn't know whether i wanted to join in nicole and gabriel's fun or just be a strict voyeur in the room. the banter and angst between them is fantastic, sweet, and so kind.

*possible spoiler alert - so stop reading* you know those moments in your life when you get exactly what you want and it lives up to your expectations?acceptance to your dream school and you love it. you get your dream job and not only do you love your boss but your co-workers and the work is fulfilling and exciting. that is how i felt when reading #1 crush that the hype about gabriel, built completely in nicole's mind, met and exceeded expectation which was awesome because how often does that happen in life anymore? because i'm such a crime drama tv fan the line "she was going to be his partner in crime, and his bedroom was going to be their crime scene" stuck like no other and signaled an extra game on. i'm sure there will be other moments for other readers but that was mine because that's how good this story is. so many moments that a reader can pull from and call there own and point to and say yep that was when i got sucked in even more.

this is another winner by kaia bennett. as far as i'm concerned she is an effortless writer who sucks you into a world where you want to be the characters and/or try all that they are. you certainly may want to limber up in case you haven't been to a yoga class in a while though. am thoroughly looking forward to the next book and thankful for this ARC.

Book-length PWP. If that's for you, fill yer boots, but I need to feel some connection to the characters if I'm going to enjoy reading about them balling nonstop for any length of time. Original characters who are briefly introduced and then never developed? FOH.

PS: I don't want to tell you how to live your life, but I feel that it is rude--at LEAST--to engage in prolonged come play in your sister's fiscal living room, on her fiscal couch.

I did own a couch for a period of time that had been used by someone other than me for illicit romantic pursuits, in a concrete bunker, on the company nickel, but it wasn't my couch at the time, and I never even met most of the people who used it for that.

For full disclosure: I received an ARC of this book after winning a Facebook contest hosted by the author.

First I'm not going to spend much time summarizing the book. That's why we read, to find out what it's about on our own. Plus the summary above ^^ does a good job covering that for us. But here goes...

Review:

Where do I begin? About 6% into this book, I was not sure I could finish. It has a very sexually charged beginning; one, that in other books would totally put me off. But what happens in this book, is that the author (Kaia Bennett) does a great job establishing a relationship between the characters and the origins of that relationship through alternating flashbacks. By the time we get further into the erotic portions, we care about these people and want them to make it (at least I did). Though majority of the book depicts our main characters, Nicole and Gabe, engaged in prolonged sex acts, it works. This is not a love at first sight type of story. Again, the friendship is already established at the start of the book. As I read on, I fully believed in the characters and what they were doing. They felt real, not overwrought, not drama-filled or having a multitude of obstacles in the way of them being together. From my experience that's hard to come across in romance and romantic erotica. I find that more than half of the books I read in this genre, the connection is superficial at best, trite at worst. If I could levy one major complaint I had with the book, it would be that the wonderful back story or personalities she gave these characters was at times overshadowed by the excessive sex scenes. I would have liked more of a break between the naughty moments to get to know them better.

Things that impressed me:

1. The characters had chemistry. I thought it was insane chemistry (in a good way). If she'd wrote a sweet romance, I don't think the effect would have been any less. Here's a line from the book that gives an example of that:

As they relaxed in bed, her sitting Indian style and him reclining on his side, she tossed Cracker Jacks in the air while he caught them in his mouth.

I like the imagery in the above passage. It conveys their easy going relationship well and seems very natural.

2. The character's actions make sense, even when they're spontaneous and a bit over the line of decency. The exception: the opening scene (when things first get naughty...that was pushing the envelope of fantasy vs. reality) but everything that followed made up for it.

3. Toward the beginning of the book, I was really impressed with Gabe's opening POV. I thought the author conveyed it pitch perfect and although it's on the tip of my fingers to dissect it here in this review, I don't want to spoil anything for those of you who haven't read the book yet. I just want to point out that it was really well done (in my opinion).

4. No neatly wrapped up ending, but hopeful. I'd call it Happy for Now. I appreciate this type of closure more than any other. That includes the much debated cliffhanger. This type of ending fits better with reality and makes me want to (at some point) go back and read the story again (once it's not fresh in my mind). Just for the thrill of it.

5. I don't know if this book was an indie published book or not, but the editing was pretty tight. I saw only one or two hiccups. Again, in this genre (particularly the independently published books) that's a rarity.

6. One last thing I forgot to add...she managed to interject the dynamics of D/s in a natural way, and that impressed the hell out of me. She depicted a sexually submissive young woman who carried the vulnerabilities outside of the bedroom as well without being a doormat or overly "strong" for the sake of not looking like a doormat (if that makes sense). Also, no rape. No dubious consent. No overbearing males. No violence and brutality against the female love interest. But raw emotion and physicality, yes. It was steamy and vulgar but not off-putting.

First book in a while that I read majority of the erotic/intimate scenes and didn't roll my eyes or skip pages.

Kudos to the author! Can't wait for her next book.

Remember having an impossible crush on an older man who seemed like the fantasy to end all fantasies? Nicole gets caught in Gabriele’s bedroom, on his bed, watching his porn and living a sexual fantasy with Gabriele. In mid gasp, in he walks, in the flesh and, holy crap, now what? Could it be possible that he will think she is a looney stalker or does he have feelings that he has held back for the sweet, yet sexy young woman? Time will tell if their chemistry can be explosive, heart-stopping and free-spirited. But as time itself conspires to bring them together, it also threatens to run out before they can commit. Was theirs a fling of sensual desires or is something deeper being created?

#Crush by Kaia Bennett is an erotic journey into the lives and desires to two people from two different worlds who collide with the explosive tension of the atomic bomb. As Gabriele teaches Nicole what he likes, she unleashes her inner wild child and learns how to break free and express herself through her body. A little humor, a lot of heat and a brief storyline makes Crush a quick read that is sure to raise your heartrate.

First, let me start off by saying that this is a SMOKING HOT read!! I'm talking a 3 alarm fire!!! This book had some of the most intense sex scenes that I have ever read. Ms. Bennett you are a master. What I didn't like was the character backgrounds. The H and h knew each other for a year before they begin a sexual relationship. I prefer a story where the H meets the h and immediately wants her. I don't want there to be a long time for them to get together. I will say that the H and h in this story were not dating and were not a couple. They are 2 friends that start having sex just bc they are attracted to each other. I was hoping to read another story like Sunday which had an awesome H. The H in that story was jealous and possessive. We don't see any of that in this book. I was also confused with how OTT sexual the h was especially when she only had a limited amount of sexual experience. It would have been better if it was the H that was teaching the h about good sex. Instead, I felt like I was reading 2 porn stars having sex. The ending was a complete surprise. After their erotic interlude they just say goodbye and go their separate ways. I was like WHAT!?!? Also, I didn't like the h's sister and her reaction to discovering them was another let down. There was no conflict or angst in this story at all. Lastly, the pacing was a little slow in this book. I was frustrated when something is about to happen and the author decides to break away from the scene and start describing the H's or h's background. These explanations did not belong in those parts of the story.

I'm on the fence about continuing this series. Again, the only other book I have read from Ms. Bennett was Sunday and that was a fantastic read. The H was so crazy about the h in that one. There was nothing real btw the H and h in this book.

Yowza! #1 Crush is SMOKIN' HOT!!! It's like "liquid hot magma" HOT! You're definitely going to need a change of panties after you're done with this one.

It is true that a good portion of this book is filled with steamy, sexy times, but it's not all just about that. It's about discovery, affection, respect, and the beginnings of love too.

I absolutely loved reading #1 Crush! It made me sad and made my heart ache sometimes. It also made me laugh and smile, and the beginning embarrassed the crap out of me. It's been awhile since a book has made me so embarrassed that it took me awhile to get through the first chapter just because my hands were covering my eyes. I won't tell you what happens because I don't want to spoil it for you, so I'll just say that I wasn't ashamed or offended and when I got to the next chapter I laughed my butt off.

#1 Crush is a very fast, super hot read. It was a bittersweet ending, but leaves you with the hope that Gabriel and Nicole will eventually get their happy ending. I adored this book and I cannot wait for Kaia Bennet to finish the next two books in this series!!! ~ Paige, 5 stars

This is the second book by this author I am reading. I loved Sunday which was a great read.

Nicole and Gabriel have known each other for a while. Gabriel is best friends with Nicole's sister Jackie.

Nicole has a crush on Gabriel both of them believe there could never be a relationship between them because of their relationships with Nicole's sister plus Gabriel was in a relationship for some of the time that she knew him.

Something happens (which I won't reveal you will have to read the story to find out) and Nichole and Gabriel hook up. They are not in a relationship they are just sleeping with together. Both understand that their relationship is like a friends with benefits type set up. This is the beginning of their story. This book is very erotic (if you enjoy your stories like that) then this book is filled to the brim with sexual scenes. A little too much for my taste but well written all the same.

We have to read book 2 Closer to find out what happens between Nicole and Gabriel.

****ARC copy given for honest review****

Nicole is a 21 year old college student who has had a crush on her older sisters friend, Gabriel, for a couple of years. Nicole doesn't think Gabriel will ever see her as more than Jackie's little sister, but one chance encounter between the two of them changes everything.
This was not a story of love at first sight. For me, this was a story of chemistry between to people so strong, it could not be denied. The way the author described the love scenes made me really feel the heat between Gabe and Nicole. I also like the way they got to know each other better, and how they build on their friendship as well as their sexual relationship. The author made it easy for you to see how the two came to be where they are today with each other with giving you flashbacks from past encounters between Nicole and Gabriel. If you're looking for a great story with hot sex scenes, then Crush is one book you don't want to miss. This was a truly enjoyable read!

5 WOW! Stars! I was reading another book and when I found out this one was out, I had to put the other on hold so I can read it and I am very glad I did. But now ..... Am all spoiled and wondering how any book can follow the hot shit I read and wished this book was a lot longer and want to read it again and again. The book was on point with the great story and the steamy and I mean steamy sex scenes. I have no idea how the author does it....how does she write such erotic books filled with such amazing sex scenes and still keeps the story from being raunchy.......but Ms. Bennett......girl you got some serious writing talent and keep it coming please. I will be looking out for more of her books for sure and hope that they are released quick. I highly recommend this book for readers of erotica or ones just wanting to start. Just amazing!

If you want a book that is all hearts and flowers and making love....then move along, there's nowt like that here!

This is a story about a girl, Nicole, who has a crush on her sister's room-mate Gabriel.

Nicole sneaked into his bedroom, turned on his telly...which happened to have porn on it like all good self-respecting blokes would have, and she flicked her bean like a tiddlywink champion.

She is watched by Gabriel and they embark on a week long sexathon which is just totally wank-worthy.

There are no feelings of love between these two. There is only lust and that's fine if that's what you want out of a book. I'm cool with that.

The author has written a very hot book and I really enjoyed it. I didn't feel a connection between the characters but I felt their hotness.

Can't wait to read the next book.

This sounded like a great book. It was a free novel. But once i got past the first chapter, i kind of skimmed through it. It was too graphic and hardcore for me. But i had to find out how it ended. Hence 2 stars

5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!!!

That is one HOT story. I mean, off-the-charts HOT! I love when a book is so well written that you get so immersed into the story that you lose all track of time. Yup, this one did that for me. I actually missed my hair appt and had to reschedule because I was lost in Nicole and Gabe's story. I just couldn't be bothered until I finished. Now, I need more. I'm starting to get frustrated. I feel as if every book I have picked up lately is just a whole bunch of humping and no plot or real emotional connections or problems. 90% of this book was sex, and honestly, in my PERSONAL opinion gets kind of repetitive and boring. I did not connect to the characters at all and I was glad that the book was short because I would have stopped. I just Want a good romance with convincing feelings. Is that so hard to ask for??

Amazon freebie. I feel like I'm reading nothing else lately! Not sure what to expect from a new author, this was a solid 3.5. I liked the characters, and the romance was steamy. I wasn't a huge fan of all the flashbacks-- I felt like those slowed the storyline down, and made it a little muddy. This story is obviously not over, and if it was, I'd be sorely disappointed by that ending.

Okay. I was skeptical at the beginning. Half way through, I kind of warmed up towards it.
The ending was actually amazing.
