The finale of the This. Is. Not. Over. series. "Shannon Dianne has done it again. She has successfully woven this story and all its players intricately together and then laid them out to bare, one by one. " "This was an awesome series from beginning to end. Definitely one I will re-read." "Wish these books became a movie." "I'm so in love with this series yet I get so anxious with each new book."
Well Damn I'm finished! Ok so since the beginning of this series Malcolm had me at Now done with the last book I have so many mixed feelings. I loved that Ms Shannon stayed true to her characters you may not be happy about it but it is what it is.
For instance the way things turned out for Jasmine... This goes both ways for me, one hand I felt she got burnt by Jacob, he did her so wrong. I really felt he loved her. I'm sad for her on that note because their back story was fun for me. On the other hand I couldn't stand her as a friend I don't even understand how they continued being her friend. Don't understand why Marlon wanted her back she was the most selfish spoiled brat ever and hot ass mess.
Jacob, I love him and I can't stand him but one thing needs to happen to him, his ass needs to get beat I'm just saying
Winnie lawd girl you gangsta you got Jacob on he knees! I loved it! Girl be like
Marlon hmmm no comment Marla too sweet but so glad she got a little back bone in this last book
Jon.... I say this because he didn't learn in the first book he still didn't learn in the second book nor the third and sadly the fourth how many times do you want to get your a$$
Because listen up Jon through the whole damn series yo ass should have really understood that you caw...caw
All in all this was a fantastic series filled with mo' drama for your mama lol, a lil bit of mystery and some smexy smexy going that was hot hot hot! Love Shannon Dianne she is a wonderful story teller I lived every moment of this I was the ghost in this story just watching everything going on with everyone in it! I can not wait to read more from her Aaaand omg would love to read about more men like Malcolm but he was a one of kind that smooth talking sexy tough bullsh$tter was my absoulute fav in the books I couldn't get enough of him...
I liked this book but I didn't like how Jasmine character was treated. Winnie started all of this with the picture of Jasmine and Jacob yet she is not held accountable. I like all the characters in book but I'm not a fan of Winnie. I love Malcolm and Red together but I was hoping for a better ending for Jasmine. Jacob did love Jasmine because he pursued and to make him throw her under the bus and for her end up crazy was wrong.
I almost didn't give this book any stars its only saving grace was mac's broad shoulders. The ending was so messy and to me absolutely "silly" I was thoroughly disappointed how Jazz was treated as a scape goat and how so called friends just threw her under the bus. I can't get why people like winny and i absolutely thought Jacob turned out to be a piece of sh*t. I just don't understand how it all ended like this, but i think Ms Dianne should have stopped at book two. I kinda get what she was going for but i think it wasn't properly thought through. The ending had me so on edge I feel so unsatisfied not to mention all those unresolved relationships and poor Marlon. I just thought this ending was wack, a waste of money, waste of time, and the destruction a good series.
Ok so I loved the entire series BUT I have a problem with the "final" book. Theirs still stories that are left unresolved, for instant Jon, Marla, Marlon, Jasmine , AND Jacob.. Lets be honest from the ending of book three you were expecting more from the Jasmine & Jacob saga..to "clean it up" in the way it was done in the last book was literally distasteful..and if Jacob was SO disturbed about the mistress that took her life why wait until book four?? This occurred before he and Jazz hooked up so why now?? I just don't think that story is done or shall I say that the closure to them was given properly...
.......This "quick clean up" did Jasmine Harlow NO JUSTICE she became the escape goat for everything and everyone, and lost more then anyone. Her character was destroyed in this final book and I honestly feel as if her story and Jacob isn't done yet, just like I feel that Jon & Marla isn't. Was not my fav of the series.
This book real makes you feel crazy(and I mean crazy) the author threw Jasmine under the bus and made her out to be the villain. Don't get it? And those so called friends of hers. This book was just a waste of my money. This book should have ended with book 2.
3.5 This book shouldn’t have been written. It added no substance to the previous books and annoyed me like a few of the other reviewers have said. The only character in this book who comes across as nice is Malcolm. Everyone else and I mean everyone else is made to look like an ass. The black guys are made to look pathetic, jasmine was hung out to dry, Jacob is an asshole and winnie … let’s just say I thought slut shaming days were over but apparently not in this book it’s more acceptable to stay with a cheating husband and blame the other woman. That’s what was most disappointing about this book. Jacob gets away Scott free but everyone else suffers. Jasmine loses everything and it’s disappointing that author took this root. Jacob should have suffered as he pursued jasmine in the last book claiming to love her. He chose to save his own ass and didn’t care about her at all. As for Danielle, she’s supposed to be a hardcore feminist but doesn’t once speak up for her friend or condemn Jacob’s actions. She in fact defends him to Winnie. What kind of nonsense is that. Everyone seems to defend Jacob in this book. The book also ends incomplete. Perhaps she was going to continue with another book but didn’t get around to it. I think I would have appreciated this book if it was about Nat and dena or Rena and Matt Rather then continuing a nonexistent Jacob and jasmine story. There does need to be another book to fix this

Shannon Dianne has done it again. She has successfully woven this story and all its players intricately together and then laid them out to bare, one by one. So many pieces and the stories culminate perfectly; but still seems like there is sooo much more story to be told.
First off, Jasmine is crazy, period. That poor lady is so disillusioned and living on a completely different planet. Her sense of reality is solely based on the image within her head and no one else can see it. I feel so sorry for her because she clearly is unable to find true happiness because if she cannot make it appear exactly the way she has envisioned it, then she wants no part of it. She will just as quick throw out the baby with the bath water and simply start again as if the initial story doesn't matter or hold any relevance. All I can do is shake my head when reading her part. I hope she grows up, learns to own her shit and hold herself accountable for her insanity. At least own your shit and (wo)man up to it instead of making everybody else responsible for your foolishness and delusions.
I hope Shannon plans to write a true love story for Marla and Bryan. Jon has gotten on my last nerve! He is manipulating and calculating and poor Marla just loves him down to his selfish drawers. She deserves to have a great love too. Damn that Jon!
I am so utterly in love with Malcolm Blair! All I'm a say is "I want me one too!"
Jacob and Winnie will be okay. However, I'm a need for at least one other black female in the story to not get her ass beat by a white woman. I'm just sayin! I know white girls can fight and kick ass too but damn! Even the brother got his ass beat. Really? Okay...I'm a let it go.
Damn, damn, damn this story was too good! Bravo Shannon. Keep up the good work.
On another note, there were several pages where words were misspelled and some words were missing. But overall a wonderful story. Five stars. I would give more but Amazon only allots five .☺️
This is the wonderful followup; fourth in the series of the Blairs of Boston and their friends and acquaintances. It did not disappoint. The story has goingons of various characters: this time it is focused on Jacob and Jasmine, but also woven into the mix is how their mess affects others. All the old favorites show up, not the least of which is my new favorite couple Red and Malcolm... Now this is how you should write a relationship. I laughed, I teared up, I rolled my eyes (in a good way) I shook my head, I laughed out loud on the subway to which people on the subway gave me a very strange looks... I couldn't put the book down. It is one of the few books that I didn't want to end and feel that I have gotten my full money's worth.
If you have not read any of Shannon Diane's books then you are missing out. Her ability to take an absolute life changing event and insert comedic relief is undeniably genius. This ITS NOT OVER SERIES should be televised!!! I am a SHANNONITE for life! I have converted many to the likes of this amazing and indelible author. If you have not read books 1-3 yet, you are doing yourself a disservice. These are by far my most favorite books and I have read them all at least 3 times. I love all of her characters, even those that are not very likable. Malcolm!!!!! I want a Malcolm in my life! FINE ASS WHITE BOY!!!!!
I loved this series but the ending was a little jacked to me. It's like it just fell off a cliff. I know this is supposed to be the ending, but this ending leaves a bunch of unanswered questions and a bunch of possibilities.......I'm just sayin
It took me months to finish this book. Not because it was that terrible, but because it made me too anxious to read about what would happen next. This is the story about Jacob, Jasmine, Marlon and Winnie. The secrets that are spilled, the actions and reactions of the people are not your happily ever after scenarios but that is what happens in life. People don't automatically change with one piece of adversity, they have to be refined with fire and that is what happens here. All the secrets come out and it doesn't smell like roses on the other side. I truly enjoyed this series.
I just love the way you write a story. I was in the story and mad as hell when 100% popped up at the bottom. I knoooooooooow there is a next book coming and wouldn't it just be hilarious if Jasmine was pregnant??!!! Ijs!! I love this world!

Finally its here...I truly hope this isn't the last book. It picks a little before book three ends which is great. Damn think twice before messing with those boys from Boston. When they come to war they come prepared. Although I felt Jon, Marlon, and Demetrius got what they deserved yet some instants I understood especially with Jon hearing his son call Malcolm Pop. The man that stole Jon's wife from him. Karma also dished out some turmoil of her own. Malcolm and Jacob had relationship hiccups with their wives as well. Still can't stand Jasmine I don't know how Marlon is in love with her. He called it when he told her she was selfish. But packing up everything including the girls then putting the condo up for sale giving her only 12 hours to get her belongings was badass. A bit rough but I still wanted to give him a pat on the back. Marla is the one I felt the most for. She finally learned about Jon's secret. I don't know how she wasn't more devastated. All that she did for Jon and Nicky without question and Jon dogged her out time and time again because he got sloppy and lost his wife to an alpha male like Malcolm. Then he comes stumbling back after eight weeks after their blow out to see if she will help him raise his nephew. She's a better woman than me. That all I can say. Please let her be the focus of book 5 if there is one.

This was an awesome series from beginning to end. Definitely one I will re-read. The book starts after Winnie has her son and before Red has her daughter. The it gives the information the reader needs to understand why all the parties that were in Red's room after she gave birth. What a mess, what a set-up and what an execution of the set-up. Awesome.
Before I started this book I read some of the reviews and I have to say there were a few that were harsh. I don't think this was so much a black and white as much as being a people/personalty thing. Yeah brother man got busted, but he got what he deserved he started the mess (bar scene). And as Jasmine goes she always been about herself and looking down on or snubbing people who don't go along with her plans . She's always been selfish to me. Marlon needs to have more respect for himself and just finish what he started and let her go. He can do better. Jacob was not faultless in anyway. He and Jasmine deserved what they got.
Bryan, Marla, Jon? I on't know how many times Mac have to tell people don't f*** with Red!
I really liked this book. I was little disappointed with the ending since she says that this is the last book of the series. She left some many things unanswered. Like do jasmine and marlon get back together? Does jasmine realize her flaws? Do Jon and Marla get back together? Or does she start dating her boss? Too many things were left unsweetened for me but I'm still giving it five stars because I had so much fun reading it. If this wasn't the last book of the series I would have been ok with the ending.

The final installment to a series I've bern hooked on for over a year. It's bittersweet. I laughed, I got pissed off, I caught myself talking to the book. The cast of characters in this series are hilarious. Malcolm is my favorite and despite his flaws is lovable and always makes sure his family is first. Who wouldn't love that in a man (plus he's gorgeous!!). I highly recommend this series if you haven't read it already.
Malcolm and "The Crew" continue their shenanigans, artfully fixing some and destroying others' lives with the signature Malcolm smirk. Danielle gives birth to Sunny the Ginger, a big brawl ensues in Danielle's hospital room...someone has to pay because NOBODY F***S WITH RED!!!!
Okay so it was a mistake buying this one .... It should've ended at book 3..... I'm sad at how jasmine was just completely destroyed !!! I liked the previous books but this was a major let down. When you write characters that people are invested in and then completely ruin them it sucks ...
The only thing I dislike about this book is book 5 is not ready. I love this series. Thank you Shannon Dianne and to quote your forward...I am not starting that, "this her life, shit". Lmbo.
This series was great, I didn't want to stop reading one I got started. All of the drama, the highs and lows kept the story going and I just couldn't put the books down. I'll be looking for more books to read by Shannon.
