I gave this book 5 stars!!!r

From the beginning to the end to the end you will be blown away, I know I was. With the twist and turns and few surprises in there you will be left guessing to the end. I couldn't put this book down and devoured it in a couple of hours and now I am waiting to see what happens in the next book.
You will easily fall for the main characters, and will get to know the secondary characters as well. There are times that you will feel how raw the feelings between Lucky and Baby Jade are and at other times you are screaming with joy that Baby Jade puts people in their place. I felt like I could be in the same place as the characters because of how this author has described it down to a T.

Baby Jade come from a world not like mine and yours. She come from a life of hard knocks and has to prove to herself everyday that she will not go back to the GUTTER of drugs, multi- sex partners, and to Slade. Baby Jade is a stripper at a seedy club with even a sleazy owner and junked out girlfriend. That is where her world begins and ends. She stay there to pay her bills and pay for her mothers care. She doing the only what she know how.

Lucky is running from his former life. A life full of wealth, class and a upbringing that could have him as the CEO of a company that he wants nothing to do with. Know one has been able to see what his back story is...that is until he comes back to New Orleans. He is in need of some extra cash to leave town. When another guy he works for sends him to a strip club for extra work, he finds the one thing he wasn't expecting...Baby Jade.

As the two fight two different battles, when they become one it is explosive. Can Lucky and Baby Jade open up to each other and make a go? Or will life happen and keep them from each other?

Kimmie has once again wrote a amazing story and I can't wait to read more from this author.

Two broken people from different sides of the track.
Baby Jade has it tough. Working as a stripper for a scumbag, she does her best to tune it all out by getting into her music and doing the best she can to make it through. She struggles day to day with the other riff-raff girls in the club, her scumbag boss, and a dealer who tries to weaken her every chance he gets. At the end of one of her performances, she is met with deep chocolate eyes you can lose yourself in.
Lucky is only suppose to be passing through town; only showing up to attend a board meeting he only does once a year for his father's very wealthy and well known company. He doesn't want to be there as it is, but he works at the garage and when he comes up short with that, he takes a job as a bouncer at the club. He is immediately taken by Baby Jade but tries to keep his distance at first. As the two get to know each other though, he can no longer ignore the electricity between them and will do anything to protect her.
However, he has a heartbreaking past of his own and when secrets are revealed about Baby, he leaves her.
This leaves Baby even more broken then before and she succumbs to her weakness. It isn't until she's at her lowest that Lucky finally gets it together and takes care of her. He loves her, wants to take care of her and wants to get her out of the toxic city.
This book ends on a mini cliffhanger. So many unanswered questions, I know Lucky and Jade are in for one hell of a ride. Will their love be strong enough to survive?

I'm not even sure how to begin this review. I've been waiting for Gutter Princess for awhile now. I'm having trouble putting into words how I feel. Do you ever have one of those books that is just so addicting that you can't stop reading? This one was one of those for me. It's intense, gritty, an intriguing. I've never even been anywhere in Baby Jade's shoes, but I still felt for this character. At such a young age, she's endured so much. She's not in the best position in life- by far, but she manages. I was actually supposed to be reading something else at the time I picked this one up, and found myself unable to put Gutter Princess down. It drew me in. Then there's Lucky. He's mysterious and it made me wonder about him. I love the attraction between Baby and Lucky.

The scenery and world created in the book by the author made me feel like i was right there (And in some scenes, that wasn't always a good thing) I didn't know what was coming next. I just knew I had to keep reading. And now, I wait. and wait. And hopefully not wait long for more in this edgy new series from Kimmie Easley. Because dangit, I'm hooked!

description

Baby Jade works as a stripper for a dirty club in New Orleans. Working as a stripper you only have two paths, let the scum drag you down or learn to look out for yourself.
Lucky is a drifter born of wealth and prestige. Having to return to New Orleans for family reasons, he is counting down till he can leave town. Then Lucky meets Baby Jade and suddenly life in "the Big Easy" gets complicated.

This was a good read. You can't help but feel for Baby Jade. She has a hard life dealing with her mother and trying to keep her life from unraveling. Baby is a suspicious woman and has every reason not to trust. When Lucky comes to town she feels the attraction. While she may not have a problem putting herself out there physically, Baby still is hesitant to trust Lucky. Lucky knows to get to the heart of Baby he will have to trust her with his past and his heart. There were times when reading I felt that Baby Jade would never get a break. Time after time she keeps taking hits that knock her down as she struggles to get back up. You keep reading and hoping her HEA is within her reach.

Baby Jade is an exotic dancer at Bottoms Up in New Orleans. She struggles to make ends meet while she supports her mom in a home and she does her best to stay "clean" in an environment that is anything but.

Lucky Gauthier has just gotten a job as a bouncer at Bottoms Up in an effort to bide his time while dealing with some family issues. He is immediately attracted to Baby but after being broken in a past relationship he has no desire to get involved with anyone when he knows he will be leaving town soon.

But soon Baby and Lucky find themselves in a relationship that a few people aren't happy about and Slade will do anything he can to keep Baby under his control, no matter what the cost is. Can Baby escape with Lucky's help and find herself on a new path?

This was a great book and look at the non-glamorous side of exotic dancing and the pitfalls that can come from it.

Baby Jade worked for Mickey and he was very controlling and demeaning to the some of the girls. It was not a good work environment but Baby was stuck there and I hated how she was treated by Jewella, Mickey's strung out girlfriend. It was interesting to also see the relationship between Slade and Baby and the power that he still had over her, even though he was now involved with Lolli.

Lucky had his own family issues and I was shocked at what was revealed at the board meeting and I was so mad at his family for what they were doing to him. I loved how he never gave up on Baby and helped her through her darkest times. I know that the stuff with his family is not over yet and I am curious to see how things go.

I loved the ending although I am terrified to see what the next book brings!

I'm not quite sure where to start. Lucky and Baby Jade's story has so many twists and turns, it's hard to put down. Lucky's turned off his emotions for ever, yet there's just something about Baby that makes him break all his rules. Baby's past is dark and incomprehensible. I love how the author talked about addiction and how it effects those around the addict. The only thing that "bothered" me was their names....Baby and Lucky...I kept thinking that adults probably wouldn't be using names like this anymore....it's just a personal pet peeve.

I can definitely recommend this book, especially after reading the preview of book two. I'm rubbing my hands together in anticipation!

I really enjoyed getting to know Baby Jade and Lucky. I really enjoyed these two finding each other and being willing to start something beautiful. It sucks that these two have such dark moments in their pasts, but I really love that they can accept it all and still want to be there for each other. Once I started reading this story I didn't want to stop. It honestly didn't feel like it is as long as it is while I was reading and the ending left me begging for what's next for these two.

Great Read

I loved meeting Jade and Lucky, the chemistry was palpable, her attitude brilliant, and his badassedness spot on. A tale of 2 people from the same place but worlds apart has left me eager to grab the second book and take the day reading it to find out what happened after the fabulous surprise at the end.

“Baby Jade completely consumed him. From the moment he laid eyes on her, Lucky hadn’t been able to think of anyone or anything else. No one had ever gotten under his skin the way she did. Every time she walked into a room, he felt like he’d been sucker punched in the gut, and left gasping for air.”

4 stars! This book was different but in a great way! It’s dark and dangerous and so sexy in all the right places!!! Definitely worth the read!

This book was such an exciting read! You’re pulled in from page one and you don’t want to put your kindle down until it’s over. Baby Jade and Lucky are such a hot book couple. Neither of them are looking for love, but when it comes and sucker punches them, they realize they have no choice. I really loved the storyline and the characters!! Excited to see where this series goes!!

I was really excited to read this book. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I think that the concept is really interesting, but the story just fell flat for me. This book is not very long and the ending just stops the book in its tracks. You know there will be more to come. It just wasn’t as clean of an ending even when you know there will be a sequel as I like. The club owner really bothered me. He would be a complete jerk and then really nice. Then a complete jerk again, then really nice again. It would go back and forth. He should have either been given one nice moment, been an jerk the entire time or be nice the whole time. It was giving me whiplash. The attraction between the two didn’t make a lot of sense. There didn’t seem to be a climax.

I didn’t get the relationship between the main character and her mom at all. It was the more annoying parts of the book. I am assuming that it is going somewhere, but as of now I don’t know where and didn’t like it.

There were some things I did like. I liked that the lifestyle of the main character seemed realistic. There was a lot of discussion about drugs which I admired the writer for putting so much of that conversation into her book. Addiction is a serious issue and there was a understanding of it in this book.

Interesting. I've never read anything by this author before and I am quite impressed. Although it starts slow it gradually gets better and better.

Baby Jade is a broken girl on a town where danger lurks around every corner. Is there someone or something to help chase her demons away and piece her together? Maybe. But she never seen him coming.

Lucky is a quiet and stoic in his everyday life and worst at times when he feels threatened. Who is the tatted bearded man who shows up out of nowhere into Bottoms Up?

Neither was looking for anything until it hit them square in the face exactly what was happening. I'm not gonna say much more cause I refuse to spoil the story for you who haven't read it. This one is truly a fight to understand the struggles that both Lucky and Baby Jade go thru. I really enjoyed this one and didn't want it to end. I hope there is more to come from these two.

I haven't read anything from Kimmie Easley before, but I intend to change that, as I am impressed. Gutter Princess is a very enjoyable read.

Baby Jade is a stripper working for a cheating, lying, douchebag boss. She's barely making ends meet. There aren't a lot of options since she has had no mother or father for many years so she does what she has to in order to survive. Lucky has turned his back on his upbringing and wealth while trying to find himself. He's become hard, and let's no one close to him, until he meets Baby Jade. They have an instant connection that makes it impossible to stay away from each other.

Gutter Princess is a raw and gritty story. The lifestyle Baby Jade is forced to work isn't soft or pretty. It starts out slowly but picks up speed where I couldn't put it down. Character development is really good, with an interesting and original storyline. Through the pages, I truly felt the characters emotions and pain. The ending seemed a bit rushed, but overall a great read, and I look forward to reading more of this author in the future.

I've never read anything y this author before now , but what a sweet and sexy romance story. Baby Jade makes ends meet as a stripper at a seedy little club ,working for less when any body deserves for a slime ball owner. No father ,No mother, and no any options but to care for herself, the only way she can. Life in the gutter of New Orleans isn't pretty. And then there's Lucky who is drifting hard-ass with a story of his own. This story will pull you into it's pages from start to finish ,and will have you on the edge of your seat. These two people weren't looking for anything ,until their realized what was happening to them. I could go on telling you more about these two but that would spoil the story for you. I highly recommend you read this story for yourself ,you won't be disappointed.

A sweet and sexy love story. Baby and Lucky were both very likable characters, each with their own emotional baggage. It was heartwarming to watch them come together, work through their issues and form a very natural and easy kind of love. However, I found myself unable to connect with the story and characters on a deep emotional level despite the intensity of the events. I think this was due to the fact that it was written in third person and for me it created an emotional detachment from the characters. I think I would have been able to get into the book more if it had been written in a dual POV but in first person, not third.

This is such a great and different story, everybody deserves a chance at happiness no matter their upbringing and background. Extremely well written with some very hard topics making this a very enjoyable series making it extremely hard to put down. Baby Jade has been served more heartbreak than a person shuokd have to endure in her shirt lifetime, so when Lucky comes in she can't believe she might get a chance at happiness. Lucky's priveledeged upbringing wasn't warranty for a happy life. Now he's trying to break the ties to his family by getting as far away as possible. Con two broken persons be able to make themselves whole?

A quick read, it starts really slow but does pick up a bit. My main problem with the book was I had no connection at all to the characters at all so that knocked the score back a bit for me. I don't want to spoil this story for anyone else so I wont give to much away and I did like the storyline as it was different to other books out there I just needed to personally connect with the characters more to be able to give it a higher score.

This is such a good book, at times it is heartbreaking and you want to cry. Baby is such a real character. She is a little bit of all of us. She has been hit hard by life with a mom who is struggling with mental illness, her own history of drug use and working as a stripper while trying to better her life and those around her. Lucky is a hot man who comes into her life when she needs it. the struggles and heartbreak they have both suffered is what connects them, love it what makes it stick. You should really read this book!!!
