Across County Lines: The Heart of Dutch Country Book One

Rate this book
Brynn, a spirited vet tech with a soft spot for stray animals and a life firmly rooted in Lancaster County, thought she knew the landscape of her heart. That is, until Jacob. With eyes the color of rich earth and a quiet strength that speaks volumes, the young Amish man challenges everything Brynn thought she understood about love, community, and the boundaries of her own world.

Their connection sparks amidst the rolling farmlands, a forbidden ember in a world of tradition and expectation. And while Brynn and Jacob know their own hearts, the entire world knows that they are wrong.

But their burgeoning romance faces more than just cultural differences. The close-knit Amish community holds its traditions fiercely, and the Englischer world offers its own set of challenges and temptations. As Brynn and Jacob navigate the delicate dance between their two worlds, they risk everything for a love that dares to cross county lines.

Will their fiery connection bridge the divide, or will the weight of their contrasting lives prove too heavy to bear?

A spicy and heartwarming tale of forbidden love in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country.

The story of Brynn and Jacob pulled at my heartstrings! Forbidden love is a hard pill to swallow. I loved how his only choice was also his final act of love. Definitely recommend, looking forward to reading other books by the author!

Kindle version has terrible editing. Let’s just say Jacob had blue and brown eyes depending on the chapter and apparently a beard sometimes…which would have been a no-no to his status.

Their relationship was so sweet and devastating. :-(
