Decent read. Obviously a continuation from another book, as I'm still not exactly sure who some of the characters are, or what happened to motivate them. However, there is a plot that is slightly engaging enough ro keep you reading
Beware, this is not a stand-alone book.
There are several grammar mistakes and some inconsistencies. Needs another proof read and a quick edit to make it better. For example, "Chase went back to door" should have been caught by an editor. There are a few of these types of mistakes, as well as some repeated ideas expressed within a few paragraphs.
In addition to the grammar mistakes, there are several things the book needs changed regarding spaceflight. To begin with, water reclamation is admittedly needed, but even with reclamation there will have to be replenishment during their trips due to evaporation, drinking water, etc. Water loss is inevitable, no matter how much it's recycled. Next, throwing a grenade on a space station would be suicide for the whole area that can't be closed off from the blast. This is standard knowledge in any science fiction book, and I'm not sure how it was missed.
It also irritated me that she didn't want to know what was going on with her brother, and then she did. The internal dialogue got a little tiring as it was the same things over and over and over again. The book only truly got interesting at the end, and then it was done. Too much of a cliffhanger, and not enough closure.
Despite the mistakes, I may read the next book. It's an intriguing idea, and the writing is better than most.
For my clean readers: language and violence, though no f-bomb.
