DNF @54% p139/258 Chapter 27(Cat) Sooo…I may have gotten bored, put it down with the intention of picking it back up, and then completely moved on with my life.😬😅 Tale as old as time, am I right ladies?😂 lol It just went on too long, and got a bit boring.🤷🏻♀️
I've been waiting on pins and needles for the next book in Leigh Kelsey's Sick and Twisted series. It's finally here, and it was fabulous. Surprisingly, it was lighter than I thought it would be, but let's face it, this series started in the sh** and continued to get darker as the series went on until now. Maybe it's because the series is wrapping up soon. I don't know. Don't get me wrong, it was still plenty dark with Tor being held prisoner, deadly games, untrustworthy allies, and a creepy AF school setting (Ford College has gotten worse). Still, there wasn’t as much devastation this time. So either it's lighter, or I've become immune to it due to all the trauma this series inflicts.
Cat and her guys are stronger together, and they've proven that. While I love all the guys, Madde is still my favorite. What can I say? It's my love for the psychos, but he is adorably cute and might be my favorite psycho of all time. Although Madde may have some competition. Pain hasn't been with them long, but he won his spot as the sweetest; I adored him. As usual, I found the story filled with tension because I never knew what was around the corner. I certainly didn't expect confirmation on the biggest theory I had. But here we are. I should have known. The ending was a killer, and I wonder what it means for the final book. I'm beyond ready for the next book, but I'm also not ready for the series to end. Gods, Fate is going to be epic! I just know it.
What a read. From the moment that I started reading this book, I was hooked and could not put it down. I proceeded to finish it in one sitting. This book moves along at the perfect speed that works with the flow of the story. It has interesting characters that no matter what you cant help but love and a story that keeps you interested and reading until the last page is done. This book needs to be read, there is totally no doubt about it.
Soft DNF’d at 56% 😬 I LOVED the Killers and Kings series and Fae of the Saintlands series (Leigh, please baby Jesus, finish the Saintlands series 😭), but this one simply wasn’t for me from the start.
The final nail in the coffin was the repetition of the storyline. I might pick it back up when the final book is released, but for now, it’s me, it’s not you. 😂
