Megan Stephens #2

Betwixt a Wolf and a Hard Place

Rate this book
The highly-anticipated sequel of Megan and her alpha-werewolf mate Zack continues. Picking up where Bewitching the Werewolf ended, Megan has the unfortunate realization that good sex and a hot guy does not guarantee a happily ever after.

Fleeing back to her life in NYC she gets a new case. A librarian, a vampire and a were-hamster go missing and what should be the start of a bad joke turns into a deadly situation as Megan discovers that her personal and professional life might not be as far apart as they seem.

Caroline Hanson grew up in California and moved to London in order to dance and go to pubs. Eventually, she matured enough to marry and imported an Englishman, returning to the United States.

After passing the bar, she had two children and now tries to parent, read, write and play tennis. She's heard rumors that other mothers clean and cook but is putting in serious effort to make sure those rumors don't reach her family.

Caroline grew up listening to Brit pop and reading about vampires. As a teenager her favorite authors were Anne Rice and Jude Deveraux. Now she loves Laurell K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, Patricia Briggs, Laura Kinsale, Lisa Kleypas, Loretta Chase, Nalini Singh and JR Ward-- that's the short list.

She is also the proud owner of a WWJD t-shirt, (What Would Joss do?) which she hopes is apparent in her books.

She loves to hear from fans and her second book in the Valerie Dearborn Series, Love is Fear, will be published in December 2011.

A free short story called Bewitching the Werewolf was released in September on Smashwords.

I loved reading more about Megan but this story didn't have a lot of answers when it came to Zachary and Megan. The story finished on a cliffhanger which I hate. Really disappointed. Was hoping for more Megan and Zachary trying to make it work but seems to be completely the opposite

So, heres my first review ever. I was super excited about reading this book because i wanted to see what was happening with Zach and Meghan ,but, I was very much dissapointed there was little info added about Zach. Meghan seemed different then she was the first book and she did introduce new characters but again they lacked sustance (it pretty much opened up a box of more questions). Finally, just a warning the ending is the real disappointment its just a cliffhanger , an action filled dramatic build up cliffhanger!

Ends without follow thru...

I was expecting a twist to occur showing the Gillian was not truly guilty in this instance and a whole plot line of Megan having to vindicate him while forming a live triangle to die for--- but then she gets a reward of vacation from her boss and the story is over. I was impressed with book 1, and I thought book 2 showed promise--but now im simply unimpressed. What a let down.

Disappointed

The story line was good but it was too short. The plot and characters where not developed enough. I finished the book in under 10 minutes. Very disappointed.

Hilarious and bloody funny! My only complaint is that these are only short stories. I'd love to read more.

This is the second episode from Megan's life and continues shortly after "Bewitching the werewolf". I liked it as well even so it was again brutally short.

What a let down

I really enjoyed this authors other books but this one was missing any real interest. It wasn’t even 1/2 a story. Not worth reading.
