The Princess of Meira thought it would be easy, that she could go back, take her love, fight the evil Samil and finally begin to build her life. But as Alannah should know, nothing comes easy… especially not for her.

Alannah finds herself running back to the Kingdom of Anrad to find the love of her life marrying another. As if the weight of that was not enough, it has been discovered that Samil is in his spirit form and can only be killed by a legendary sword whose whereabouts, no one knows.

As a final battle looms on the horizon and Samil continues to build his army, Alannah and her friends must set forth on a quest to find Annullo. With her friends and some new unlikely allies, Alannah and the others find themselves traversing snow covered mountainsides, confronting ancient dragons, and fighting for their lives against the dark Drow.

Loss and danger, secrets and legends, and the demands of sacrifice over love push Alannah and the others further than they thought possible in the epic conclusion to The Kingdom Chronicles.

By the Sword is definitely an EPIC conclusion to this amazing trilogy. I'm saddened that the series is over and I didn't want to say goodbye to all the wonderful characters that have become so important to me but it's been such an astonishing journey.

I found myself laughing immensely, crying hysterically, jumping up and down in excitement and gripping onto the edge of my seat as I devoured this final instalment. The world building throughout the series has been magnificent and it somehow was more amplified in By the Sword. I felt like I was knee deep inside the book, going through the motions, feeling everything, stirring up the magic and getting ready to head into battle. I trudged through the snow and wielded my sword, sailed the high seas and severed the head of a dragon snake, all in the name of love, loyalty, and good.

By the Sword pretty much picked up exactly where it left off in book 2. That shocking ending that had me screaming at the top of my lungs and dying to know what happened. Well, thank the Lord that I didn't have to wait too long to get the conclusion that I have wanted since the beginning, and only one word comes to mind when I think of this, i.e. Brennus. What a beast of a man he is! And the only match for him, is the ever independent, the very stubborn, the absolute will-full, Alannah. She has grown so much since the first book and it's evident by her self-sacrifice, and her ability to lead. Love the character development of these two, as well as Kaleb and Evyette. Their story grew from a tiny fleck into this burning flame of passion and I felt like I was prying into their discovery of one another, but of course, I could not look away *wink wink*

I really can't give away too much of the story, as it's pretty pointless if you haven't even began the series. But know this. This series, The Kingdom Chronicles, is one you will lose yourself in and won't mind it one bit at all. It's breathtaking; it's stunning; it's fantastical and it's mind blowing.B.C. Morin has brilliantly created a world full of all kinds of imaginations and wrote a story that will touch your heart and move your soul. Love this series and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good Fantasy!

First of all thank you to the amazing author for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This series has officially become one of my favorites, it was already on there but with the addition of this truly fabulous conclusion it has forever cemented itself a spot on the list. Thank fully this book picks up right where the last one left off, the open ending of book 2 almost killed me ans I was happy and satisfied with how it continued and I know many others will be pleased too. We also get thrown right back into the action, there is so much more going on than a wedding.
The loss of Tristan is still fresh but it was handled wonderfully and in the end I think he helps them to find what they need and become who they are. The writing is just as amazing as the previous books, maybe better, the fight scenes are action packed and exciting and the beautiful love scenes between perfect lovers get better and better and I love how the two are combined into a perfectly balanced story of love, loss, friendship, and the fight of the century. The multiple POV's are also a great writing strategy, in this series there is so much to know about all the characters good and bad and getting such a rounded view helped me root harder for our heroes and connect to their struggle.
I have always enjoyed Alannah but watching her be tested on this journey and show so much strength and courage made me love her so much more. I also love the rest of our hero party but I wont say to much as not to give anything away but I will say this is the best and most loveable group of people I have ever had the pleasure to journey with in print form.
I am very sad to see this series come to an end but I'm so glad I took this journey with the Fae of the five kingdoms and I will make time for a reread of this series it is worth it and I recommend everyone reads this series it has it all.

Starting book 3 was a very bittersweet experience for me. It was hard knowing that this would be the last time I'd be writing about their journey, their lives, and their loves. Brennus, Alannah, Evyette, Kaleb and all the others have a special place in my heart. I only hope you all enjoy The Kingdom Chronicles as much as I have enjoyed bringing it to life for you all.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. In no way does this affect either my rating or my review.

Wonderful. Absolutely superb. The character development really reached it's peak in this one. I wasn't a big fan of the first book and to be honest, if all thee of them weren't in the reads for review, I probably would have stopped right there. But thank goodness they all were. The second book was fantastic but the third one was just plain brilliant. This book is proof that you shouldn't stop reading a series just because the first one isn't the best. Maybe it really is a build-up to an amazing series. So definitely give this book a shot. It is absolutely fantastic. I loved it.

*Above image from Second book just needed to be here in my review*

When you find yourself pushing further and further back into a corner of your bed or your plane seat, you know you have a good book in your hands. This is the last book of The Kingdom Chronicles and it’s overwhelming to write this final review.

I would give this book more than 5 stars but it's against the rules. This book and the whole world of B.C Morin is truly magical. It transports you. Her descriptions are always so vivid you can almost feel them. Her characters are absolutely real (plus I just want Brennus to be real. Badly). This was a beautiful final book, and on entering her magical world for the last time, the magic holds. I am in love with the captivating details and engaging characters.

Brennus, Alannah, Kaleb and Evyette have gotten stronger from all the unforgettable situations they had to face. The love stories I have witnessed all these years will forever be in my heart. My favourite is Evyette’s characters development since the beginning of the series. She is definitely the character changed a lot by all the experiences she’s had. I was inspired and moved by all her decisions in BTS.

This book is for fantasy lovers (it has the feel of The Mortal Instruments and Narnia combined). There were many twists and turns. I think, my attachment to and enjoyment of By the Sword stems from the author's wonderful story telling and the way she sustained it through the entire book. The threat of the mischievous faeries to the kingdoms felt real. It will always give you that sense of mystery.

Unforgettable situations. Unforgettable characters. I love how it makes you yearn for the possibility that there’s something else out there in the world.
READ this book! Fall in love with B. C. Morin. You won't regret going along for the ride.

(I thank all the faerie for letting me find this series <3)

P.S Natania was so badass!!!!!

Review by Nina - Recieved copy from author

Finally, I got the last book of the Kingdom Chronicles to review!! I was so happy when I got it!!
We get to see what happens when Alannah interrupts the wedding, what happens between her and Brennus, what happens between Kaleb and Evyette, and if our main characters win or lose from Samil and his army. Among their travels we meet new characters and we learn more stories of the beautiful world Miss Morin created. We feel anxious as the characters try to solve the puzzles and get through their fights. I believe that the book ended beautifully. Everything was as the supposed to be, minus the mild panic attacks I was getting from the characters every time someone’s life was in danger, which was happening a lot in this book.
If you have read the previous books you have to read the end. And if you haven’t read the previous ones, you need to read them desperately. As the other books of the series I loved this one as well. And now I feel nostalgic that it ended.

Thank you Barbie for giving me a copy of this book to read for an honest review!
This series has truly been one of my favorites and I am so sad it is over.
It was a little hard to remember details since it has been over 2 years since I read the first and second book and I wanted to avoid rereading it. I would recommend at least re familiarizing yourself as this book jumps right into where it left off.
Alannah is with Isabeal's love to stop the wedding and finally take what is hers.
Relationships finally come together and everything that has been happening since the beginning comes to fruition.
It was full of adventure and surprises and I really think it was a good wrap up to a wonderful trilogy.
I'm really sad to say goodbye!

The blockbuster conclusion to The Kingdom Chronicles did not disappoint. By the Sword begins right where we left off in Blood of the Sorcerer. I was jumping up and down in chapter one and the energy kept going throughout the entire book. I loved following the characters I have grown to care for getting prepared to face their final battle. I knew going into it that author B.C. Morin would throw in many surprises, but I wasn't prepared to get so emotional. My heart felt like it wanted to pound out of my chest and I went through almost every emotion possible through the course of the story. I did on one occassion scream at my kindle and get a few strange looks, but it was worth every agonizing second.

By the Sword is written brilliantly and reminded me why I connected so deeply with the characters. One thing I loved most about this book is the emotional glimpse into Brennus' past. The pain he had experienced shattered my heart but seeing it through his eyes allowed me to feel a renewed passion for him and I totally swooned all over again for him.

Alannah continued to grow in her powers and also in her maturity. She has grown into a strong young woman and I felt myself really cheering her on with each new obstacle she faced. Grace, inner strength and fighting for what is right knowing it could all end with her death, were key elements to keeping this band of friends together to face off against the evil Samil.

Oh and I can't forget the dragons! The ancient and mysterious creatures were a bonus addition to this book. The descriptions given by the author really made them come to life. Truly magnificent.

By the Sword brought everything together for a grand finale of honor, friendship, love and the ever important good versus evil. You do not want to miss out. Thank you B.C. Morin for bringing these characters and this awe-inspiring world to life.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

So, I have officially finished this book and the series and I have to say that I'm not too impressed. Throughout the whole series I consistently found editing errors. The formatting on this book was better than the other books which was refreshing.

Other than the editing errors I enjoyed the series (for the most part). The characters were interesting and I enjoyed seeing the maturation of all of the characters. I will admit that I found the book was predictable. The foreshadowing nearly gave me a concussion by hitting me over the head.

Ultimately,I thought that the book was unique in its own rights. It definitely borrowed from some of the more famous young adult novels but it did create something newish for the fantasy young adult realm. I could have stopped at the first book but I'm glad I read the series.

This epic high fantasy series has everything from kick but heroines to swoon worthy romance and last but certainly not least action.
I have really enjoyed immersing myself within this world and traveling with these characters on their journey. I look forward to reading more from this author.

The last book didn't blow me away... it was ok.
