Melodie Bowsher grew up in Derby, Kansas (near Wichita). She attended Kansas State University in Manhattan where she majored in journalism and won a first place award for investigative reporting from the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. After college she went to work in the Wall Street Journal’s Dallas bureau as a staff reporter. After a brief stint in Denver, Melodie moved to San Francisco where she began working in corporate communications. Two children later she found herself a soccer mom in suburban Millbrae. Her two kids, Mia and Luca, provided the research and the dot.com bust provided the impetus for her first novel, MY LOST AND FOUND LIFE.
