I really enjoyed this short little devotional book. Simmons presents the more personal side of God and writes as if God were speaking to us Himself. Obviously this runs a few risks. Sometimes poetic license was taken (eg. Scriptures were quoted but paraphrased rather than actually word for word) and no one can attempt to speak for God. But I appreciate where He was coming from and sometimes it was just what I needed to hear for the day. I liked his reflection questions at the end of each chapter to make it more personal and relevant to our daily lives. It is definitely a worthwhile read, though I would caution against someone using it as their sole devotional just because of the above mentioned reasons.

Fabulous
This book is so uplifting and starts your day out with who you are in Jesus. I am so glad to have gotten this book. Was sorry to get to the end. I bought the second book, but may just go back and start this one over. It is such an encouraging book and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

THOROUGHLY INSPIRING
Each devotional was like a soothing balm every time I read it. Listening to God through the passion translation was extremely refreshing. I'll recommend this devotional any day and any time.

God’s word of love for us!
This devotional is God’s word of love for us. Reminding us of His unconditional love, faithfulness, mercy & grace. Every time I read it I was in awe and could feel His words and instructors strengthening me, filling me with His peace. What a blessing!

Amazing
I cannot express how much the beauty, joy and victory these devotions brought to both my husband and myself. They were read every day, and studied again later. We were thrilled to see #2 was introduced and have already ordered it! We plan on reading them again.
