Rate this book

Title: Treasure of the Ton
Author: Tamara Gill
My fellow readers ohhh I so love the steamy, flirtatious game the two main characters played. Especially during their interesting, shall we call it getting to know you attraction. I found this story to be wildly irresistible. I certainly enjoyed the entertainment of the Season and not just that, but romance that circulates around it. Like when the question, what does a kiss feel like comes up in conversation.
Lord Ezra can show me anytime. Any day. Anywhere about what it feels to be kissed. That kiss landed everywhere on Evangeline’s body. Being thoroughly ravished by him is my ticket to heaven. The writer did a astounding job of implementing the plot into the characters lives, while they also tried to understand and share their own want and desires. Again my favorite part is the mystery behind the unknown character appearing at every turn that Evangeline makes.
You would think with these questionable events that Evangeline would cry and scream for her savior. Her character is strong and fears no man. I liked that her character was created as an independent, strong woman. A woman who worked hard at her own independence while she internally long for the desire that all women fantasize and dream about.
Lord Ezra didn’t know or understand to well about the strong consuming allure that he has for Evangeline. While I thought the part where Ezra finds himself in a tug of war with his mind and heart over Evangeline was amazing, it was the undeniable attraction that he has for her that was even better. It was emotionally explosive and charged with animalistic passion. Show me the way Ezra! I will happily lay down for you and allow you to pluck my strings.
Imagine me as your own personal violin. Tune and adjust me accordingly to the position that you acquire. Oh this is a fantastic book. I enjoyed my time with it tremendously. I know that you will enjoy it too. I give this book two snaps and a twist. Until next time my fellow readers. Read on!

I love Tamara Gill. She is one of my top favorite authors. Sorry, I know you hear that a lot but I do tend to read the same authors. I read one of her books in 2014 and didn't pick her up again until 2018 and I've read 62 of her books since. I love her writing, her stories and her sex scenes are super hot. You guys know how I love a good book cover and this series so far has had the most absolutely gorgeous covers. I loved book one. It was so damn good I added it to favorite reads for Mar, 2025. Although I don't read book descriptions anymore and have no idea what a book is going to be about, there are just certain authors it doesn’t matter because they are such a good writers and I will read it anyway. I love that this book is out early. I didn't have it coming out until September. Thank god I get notifications. I am so excited for this book.

I loved Ezra and Evangelina. I loved this storyline and these characters. I loved their personalities. I love when characters say they'll never going to touch the other person again and say it was a mistake to do so but they keep making those mistakes over and over. :) Just an overall great read. Definitely added to a favorite read for Apr, 2025.

Ezra Ashworth, Lord St. George, never intended to return to London’s glittering society. He spent years abroad serving the Crown, he has no desire to fulfill his duty as Earl or to take a wife. Especially when the last woman he loved perished under his protection. Newly under the guardianship of her brother-in-law, the new Duke of Ravensmere, Evangeline is determined to forge her own path. But then the enigmatic Lord St. George returns to society & he happens to be Evangeline’s brother in law’s best friend.
The second book in the series & whilst it could be read on its own, it does centre around the Ravensmere sisters. I loved both Ezra & Evangeline, the chemistry between them sizzled, their banter was witty & I loved their journey to a HEA, which wasn’t easy. He has plenty of secrets & when they are revealed threaten their burgeoning feelings & all they hold dear. Ezra carries plenty of baggage from his past & Evangeline is a strong, feisty & intelligent young woman, they are perfect for each other but it takes a near disaster for him to realise just how he feels. Another unputdownable romance from the author & once again it ticked all the boxes for me & I highly recommend it
I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own

Tamara Gill does it again with a great new book to her page turner series!
Lady Evangeline is as beautiful as all her sisters are! She is in London with her married sister and her husband the Duke of Ravensmere starting her Season.
Lord St. George is a handsome Earl and is good friends with the Duke of.
When they meet they are attracted to each other. But Ezra-Lord St.George is still trying to get over what happened to him when he was working for the Crown.
I loved the intrigue and ballroom dancing and the steamy love scenes! The characters are well developed and the storyline is perfect. Also, love is so powerful it can heal anyone and in this book they needed healing.
The secondary characters set up is great for the next book in this series. Each book are standalone but should be read in order in order to follow up with the next book.
The epilogue in this book was so romantic and beautiful! I can’t wait to read the next book!

Another fantastic book in the Heiresses series! It reads perfectly well as a standalone book but reading the first book gives a bit more insight into the relationship between Ravensmere and the sisters. Plus it’s also an amazing read!

This time Lady Evangeline has her first season, a little later than usual as her late father had no interest in his daughters. Now he has died, the new Duke of Ravensmere who is also Evangeline’s brother in law is making sure she has a wonderful first season. At her coming out ball she accidentally meets Ezra Ashworth, Earl of St George, not in the ballroom but in the library where he is awaiting his friend, Ravensmere to catch up as he is just back from years in Europe.

He and Evangeline have an instant rapport with each other but Ezra has no plans to marry and Evangeline is looking for a husband, more specifically a love match.
Evangeline is rather smitten with Ezra and she is not backward at being forward. After an unexpected unchaperoned carriage ride together and hot kisses on the way home, the two find themselves betrothed. But Ezra has a dark past from his time away that might catch up with him, putting not only himself in danger but also Evangeline and her family too. He also has a secret that when Evangeline finds out, the betrayal she feels breaks her heart and may end her relationship with Ezra before it even starts. When danger comes for them from an unexpected angle, Ezra has to do everything he can to protect himself and those he cares for.

This book has so much packed into it but still keeps a great pace. It’s very engaging and enjoyable. I loved reading the developing relationship between Ezra and Evangeline and the dangers lurking in the background kept me reading late into the night to find out what happened. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys historical romance with some adventure.

I received a special copy from the author. I’m voluntarily leaving this review.

I really liked the dress on the cover model. It was giving peacock vibes and looks stunning. Another point was the physically scarred hero.

Ezra, Lord St George is back in town to take care of his mother and settle down. He meets his best friend’s sister in law and is intrigued by the young woman. Twenty two year old Evangeline meets Ezra at her come out ball organised by her older sister and now duchess. She too is intrigued by Ezra as opposed to the inexperienced boys of the Ton who would prefer to visit a bawdy house after the ball and brag about it.

They met again and again and have awkward moments like when she falls into a fountain and he can see every part of her. There are many more encounters where he cannot kept himself away from her until her brother on law overhears them and demands they marry. The hero and heroine are addicted to each other.

His scar is mentioned once and the heroine finds that it makes him more attractive, he is not worried about it affecting his appearance either and becomes popular among the ton at events as a potential husband though he only has eyes for the heroine. Though her looking like his dead fiancé's doppelgänger was tricky. The intense way both of them feel for each other felt corny and the way the heroine distrusts the hero and runs away after she finds out that she looks just like his dead fiancé just irritated me, could she not trust him with how much she felt for him?

The wider plot of his previous job putting him and those he cares about in danger did make reading a little better but I felt meh with this. I did like how Rosalind was a fair and caring older sister to Evangeline.

There was some dialogue that felt modern and took me out of the historical setting like the "F*ck yeah" that the hero says during a sex scene.

Ezra Ashworth, Lord St. George, is a man shaped by duty, loss, and the weight of his past. After years spent abroad serving the Crown, he has little desire to return to London’s society—let alone fulfill his responsibilities as Earl or take a wife. His reluctance stems from heartbreak, as the last woman he loved perished under his protection, leaving him unwilling to risk his heart again.

Evangeline, on the other hand, is determined to forge her own path. Newly under the guardianship of her brother-in-law, the Duke of Ravensmere—who is also her sister’s husband—she refuses to let circumstance dictate her future. But when the enigmatic Lord St. George returns, the first person he seeks out is his best friend, Ravensmere, leading to an unexpected—and electrifying—collision with Evangeline. Their chemistry is undeniable, their banter sharp, and their path to a happily ever after fraught with obstacles, revelations, and searing passion.

This book delivers everything I love in a historical romance—compelling characters, sizzling tension, and a love story that unfolds with intensity. Ezra and Evangeline’s journey kept me hooked from start to finish, balancing intrigue, emotional depth, and breathtaking romance. The author has once again crafted a story that is equal parts steamy and heartfelt, making this an unforgettable addition to the series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lady Evangeline Ravensmere is in London for her first season amongst the ton and is hoping to find a spouse who is a love match. She meets Ezra, the Earl of St. George at a ball and he is stunned that she reminds him of someone from his past. Evangeline and Ezra are attracted to each other, but Ezra warns her away from considering him as a possible match as he is both too old for her and not currently on the market for a spouse. He wants to ensure his past will not come back to haunt him and his future wife/children before he commits himself to marriage. Despite Ezra’s desire to avoid bringing danger to Evangeline or her family, a man from his past threatens any future they may envision. Treasure of the Ton is a fast paced, steamy tale that also has hints of mystery and intrigue surrounding the male main character bbut of course after all of that our H/h have a HEA. This is the second installment in a new series from Tamara Gill and it does not disappoint. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

Evangeline Ravensmere is in town to enjoy her first season. She is determine to find a husband who will love and adore her and any children they may have.

Ezra Ashworth, Lord St. George has finished serving the Crown and is back in London. He is haunted by the loss of the woman he did not protect while abroad.

Ezra is drawn to Evangeline because she looks so much like the woman he lost and knows that he can’t have anything to do with her. Evangeline is intrigue by Ezra and is determined to discover his secrets. Can Ezra bury the ghost of his past and find love in his future with Evangeline?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Evangeline and Ezra!! The book was fun, entertaining and so steamy!! I enjoyed reading how Evangeline broke through the barriers that Ezra had up and was determined to know his secrets. I loved the interaction of all the characters and how the story flowed from the beginning to end. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next book in the series!!

Tamara Gill is amazing. She never fails to disappoint her readers with her unique stories. I was extremely fortunate to receive an ARC and all thoughts and opinions are my own. Treasure of The Ton is the second book in the Heiress series, and can be read as a stand alone. We meet Lady Evangeline Ravensmere, who is now being introduced into society, thereby looking for a spouse. Many wish to court and charm her, but no one makes her heart flutter the way Ezra Ashworth, Lord St. George does. Sadly, whenever he sees Evangeline, he is reminded of his dead fiancée, who could have been her twin in looks. He has no intentions of falling for and failing another person. He tries to keep his distance but cannot help but touch her at every opportunity presented. His past may never leave him, and haunts him still, but his attraction to Evangeline supercedes his code of honor to stay away from her. Another superb story reminding us that each individual life is unique and can enchant and enthrall us no matter how hard we try to avoid loving someone.

Ezra Ashworth, Lord St. George, was a spy and when he came back home to England he looked up his best friend Ravensmere. He wasn't looking for a wife because he wanted to make sure his previous life as a spy didn't endanger anyone before he got married. But that didn't matter much when he met Ravensmeres sister in law, Evangeline, who also happened to look just like his fiancé that was killed in Italy. First he was drawn to her because she looked like his lost love. But when his past catches up to him and Evangeline is in danger he realizes he loves her for herself.

Evangeline is looking for a love match like the one her sister has with the Duke; and falls for Ezra almost immediately. I really liked her character and was rooting for her to get Ezra to fall in love with her the whole time.

This was an enjoyable romance with just enough intrigue to keep you wanting to keep reading into the night. I highly recommend it.

I was given an ARC by the author; but am voluntarily giving my honest review.

This is the second book in Heiress series from Tamara Gill my only regret is not reading it sooner.. It's so good..

Erza is a former spy who thought he would never marry again because of what happened in Italy however upon his return a beautiful woman enters his world and quickly turns his world upside down.

Evangeline wants to only marry for love and nothing more.. So when she meets her sister brother in law's best friend she thinks she has found her soulmate however one kiss turns out to be a forced marriage but despite that, she still loves him.

These two characters hit it off instantly and the sparks are instant.. The love between them is undeniable.. I love the banter between the two main characters along with the Evangeline's sister and her brother in law..

I loved everything about this story..

I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I received this book from the author as an advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest voluntary review and this is purely based upon my own personal opinion and that of no else.

This is the second book in the Heiress series by Ms. Tamara Gill, but just as enjoyable to read as the first book! Can you read this book without reading the other and not get lost? Well, of course you can, because this book can stand alone without any problem. Plus, Ms. Gill really knows how to write a very enjoyable tale filled with action, lots of plot twists, great characters and plenty of steam. Sure, there were a lot of miscommunications between them and maybe Evangeline acts a bit naïve. I was still rooting for them both. I think it’s because Ezra was just a dreamy hero. I did wonder about his past and there was some indication plus mention of it, but yes, I would like to read more about it. In fact, I really liked this book better than the first because of the storyline. Still, this is an excellent series that I do look forward to the next book!

I love reading a Tamara Gill book as I know exactly what I am going to get – a well-written story, packed with great steam, characters I will enjoy and an interesting storyline with a feel-good ending that leaves me feeling warm and happy.
Treasure of the Ton is the HEA of Ezra and Evangeline. Although it took a while to get into the nitty gritty bit of the tale, it gave time to meet them both. Ezra is reticent about obtaining a wife whilst his past still haunts him, whereas Evangeline wants what her sister has with her Duke. I enjoyed catching up with the Ravensmere’s and seeing that the sisters were still so close.
This book is a slow burn love story that I enjoyed reading. I look forward to meeting the rest of the sisters as the series continues.

As with all of Tamara Gill's stories, I enjoyed this one so much. This is Evangeline and Ezra's HEA, book 2 in the Heiress series. Evangeline is in London to have a season, the goal: find a husband. Ezra has just returned from the Continent, and as soon as they meet, the sparks fly; there is just that special something between them. Tamara Gill has created a believable world, and Evangeline and Ezra's characters are well constructed, just as Rosalind and Nathaniel's were in Book 1. Rosalind and Nathaniel cross over into Book 2, making for a nice connection within a series. though this could be read as a standalone, I do recommend you read R&N's story in Book 1 first; it is the gateway into London's Ton.

The main characters in this novel were meant for each other, and from the word go, the sparks flew. Ezra is weighed down by events that led to his return to London, and he hides out in his best friend's study during Lady Evangeline's come-out ball. When she comes storming in, disturbing his solitude, he is shocked to find she is a doppelganger for the woman he had lost. Unlike Luisa, Evangeline is strong-willed and outspoken. She does not suffer fools lightly, and before long, the attraction between them becomes evident, despite Ezra's reluctance to draw Evangeline into his world. The plot is exciting, fast-paced, and romantic, keeping one in suspense throughout. I enjoyed this book immensely, a copy of which I received as a gift, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Another delightful story, from one of my favorite author’s, Tamara Gill, who gives us wonderful storylines with such likeable characters, and sizzling romance. Lord St. George, (Ezra) and Evangeline we’re smitten with each other from the moment they met, when she came to London for the season, staying with her sister and her husband, the Duke, who also happened to be Ezra’s friend. Ezra had been abroad for sometime in service to the crowd , during which time he had loved and lost his first love. He does not feel he can love again and is fearful of bringing danger to anyone he loves due to his dangerous past . This past is about to ruin his future and cost him the woman he is now falling in love with.

I enjoyed this book immensely. I love the characters, Ezra and Evangeline. Evangeline is in London to have a season and to find a husband. Ezra just returned from Italy and has gone to a ball to see his friend, Nathaniel, who is Evangeline’s brother-in-law. As soon as they meet, there is something between them. If you read the previous book, you will be happy to see Nathaniel and Rosalind, but you can read this book only, but I recommend reading the two of them, they are amazing. I cannot wait to see who the next book.

It's time for Evangeline, entrance into society and boy does she do with class and swoon worthy drama. Her encounter with Ezra, a lord of honor and grief, brings forth a instant sizzle. Determined to help Ezra overcome his past, she forges on while he can be a bit of a jerk. Once again, this author brings her "a" game to the forefront to dazzle her readers with intrigue, trust issues, healing and steam. If you haven't read her works, don't miss out on this series. If you are a fan, like me, grab this story and sit down for some awe inspired moments.

You don’t need to compete with a ghost……..

This novel had a unique twist to the plot. I have currently been craving original storylines so this did meet that criteria. However, there was just some obvious things that didn’t make sense or should have been further explored. I really liked Ezra and Evangeline as a couple. They were cute together and their feelings for one another were obvious. There laugh out loud scenes, few steamy scenes, a,d some danger included in this novel. After dealing with past traumas and issues, they were able to get their HEA.

I was mesmerized almost from the beginning with this unique and enchanting love story. I loved the first sister’s love story, but this one absolutely topped it. Evangeline is bold and encourageable. And Ezra is my dream come true, strong, handsome, caring and a former spy. There is never a dull minute in their back and forth. The ending will both shock and grab your heart. I cannot wait to read the third sister’s love story.

This second book in the Heiress series is a beautifully written historical romance. A retired spy, a young lady, a nefarious villain, past characters, secrets, intrigue, drama, action, mystery, kidnapping, and intense emotional issues kept me very captivated. I enjoyed the characters' witty banter, their strong chemistry, and delicious love scenes. I think reading this series in order is nice since they follow up with each story. I highly recommend reading!

At first the hero thinks he is seeing a ghost as the heroine looks like his deceased betrothed. He has a lot of guilt regarding her death. The heroine is immediately enamored with the hero. There is a villain who wants to see the hero pay for what he has supposedly done, who brings some suspense to the story. It was an entertaining story with some steam. The “steam” lands the couple into an engagement.

Thankyou so much, Tamara Gill for getting me out of my book slump. I've been reading so many books lately that are average and that I couldn't finish, so it was so good to read one that keep me invested from beginning to end.

I loved both of the characters, the steam and element of mystery in this novel. I cannot wait to read the next in this series!

Another gem from Tamara Gill. Ezra St. George meets Evangeline and sparks fly. He is conflicted and drawn to the lovely Evangeline but feels that it is not the right time for him to for him but he has trouble staying away. I loved every turn of the page. I loved the conflict that both characters went through to get to the HEA.

Passion flares between Ezra and Evangeline that soon becomes an irresistible pull between duty and new love. A beautifully written romance where love becomes everything. Their connection felt special from the start and even with a forced betrothal they hope to start a new life. The danger simmered behind the scenes and with emotions running high their love is tested to its limits.

I really like the dynamics of this story. Slow burn, yes. Conflicts with the main characters, yes. Some intrigue, yes. Evangeline is perfect. She loves like no other and looked out for herself. You go girl! Ezra has his issues and I wanted to shake him at times. This story was really good except one thing, I wanted Ezra to grovel a good bit more. Did that take away from the story as a whole? No.

Another excellent book by Tamara Gill! The book has all you could want in one story; steamy romance, mystery, and intrigue. This can be read as a stand-alone or in the series. I do love is seeing characters from her first book and building on them. It’s like visiting family. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Absolutely loved reading this fabulous story, this is Evangeline and Ezra story of a lady who wants to forge her own path and a lord damaged by his service to the Crown. When a spectre from his past threatens her to has no choice, but to protect her. She wants to know his secrets and she challenges him, theirs is an attraction that practically leaps off the page. Loved it.
