Really enjoyed this first book by Anita. Great MC book with a new twist that's not connected to the MC group that will drive you crazy, It is one of those books you can't put down when you pick it up, You get both characters points of views and you feel the love of family, friends and partners. Fun loving and crazy. Can't wait for Anita's next book, you won't regret picking this book up, Cheers
Break Down was the first book in AM Gilham’s Break series revolving around the Chaos Crusaders MC and the Satan’s Scoundrels MC.
Asha was the Chaos Crusaders Princess. She was the sister to the current president and the daughter to the late Founder. She was beautiful, independent and feisty.
Zeke was the VP of the Satan’s Scoundrels MC. He was gorgeous, cocky and waiting until his father passed down the reins for him to run the MC.
Asha and Zeke would not normally meet. The MC’s were not in the same territory and their father’s were best childhood friends until they fought over a girl and never spoke again. They started different MC’s, not exactly rivals but not friendly either.
The storyline started in one direction, where they did meet and had an explosive chemistry. It then took a twist quickly in the storyline which brought an intriguing perspective. Although it was unbelievable at times, I enjoyed the change and overall plot. It kept me turning the pages quickly to see what would happen next.
It was told from a dual perspective and I loved both characters. They were a little immature but it fit their age range. Although I loved Gillham’s style of writing, I wasn’t as fond of the repetitive storyline when the POV changed. I didn’t need a retelling of the scene in order to follow along and I found myself skimming those parts. I also wasn’t fond of the editing errors; however, they weren’t numerous or too distracting, but they were definitely present. Lastly, I wish it didn’t end in a cliff hanger, but we were warned ahead of time, so I can’t fault the author.
All in all, I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It was a great start to the series. I’m off to read Break Open to finish Zeke and Asha’s saga...
DAMN GIRL!!!!!! what an intense start into what looks to be an absolutely amazing series, there is so much happening and going on that it up's the adventure and action meter to a whole new level, and then include all the other factor's in, like the storyline, characters, mystery, suspenses, & the romance as well ( insert fan on that last part..lol), just mean you better strap yourself in, cause it going to be one helluva fantastic ride, their is so much chemistry between both zeke & asha that it's hard not to get pulled into the story from them alone, and add in the multiple characters pov's that gives the storyline other depth to it, that has you as a reader connecting with them through their emotional adventure, that alone for a story is what makes reading so damn special, (you are made to feel as if you are apart of the journey taking place and not just listing to it, or watching it, or as if your being told a story, but that you feel as if you yourself are apart of it somehow, it's a connection that is really hard to explain, but if you every experienced it you will know it!!), which again that alone can pull you in as well, then you have the strong connection between Zeke and his MC and then Asha & her Brother Vince's MC, which alone 2 MC's and the heat & action meter just risen to another whole new level that is astronomical, but the fun don't stop there, Heeelllll Nooooo, because there is more, alot more, which again are reasons alone that will pull you in to this story and to the start of a series that I'm finding to be so far off the charts. It's an incredible 5 billion stars phenomenal an absolutely highly recommended as a must read. <3<3<3<3<3 Oh! and I must shout-out a humongous --THANK YOU-- to the extremely talented author, writing a story that is so interactive and that has a boat load of elements going on all at once and criss-cross one other, and yet still be able to holed a readers attention, keep the storyline on point, & keep all element together, and wrapped it all up into one story without the reader losing/missing a beat or getting mixed up, or feeling overwhelmed, or that it's all jumbled up & confusing. But, instead you as the reader breeze right though it, with such an ease, that your left feeling, enjoyment, beautifully heartfelt & heartwarming & these of just a few of the many feelings you are left with., Which goes to show that writing and telling a story are best left for those like this author A.M. Gillham that has such a rare and magical talent in writing & telling a story, that a reader like me is just speechless and in awe and extremely thankful that she shared this amazing & talented story and allowed readers like me to be apart of this outstanding journey, so again Thank You again very much.<3

There were several things about this book that was a departure from my normal genre, but the synopsis sounded so good I had to give it a try and I am so glad that I did! I loved this book! The author did an amazing job with the characters, the setting and the storyline. It was fast moving, unpredictable and fun! I am not a huge motorcycle fan and wasn't sure that I would enjoy the motorcycle gangs aspect of the story but I really did. It was interesting to learn about the roles of the gang, the way that each one runs theirs and the nicknames for the guys are so much fun and full of creativity!! I was trying to put together names for my friends if we decided to one day form our own gang.
Zeke was a really complex character. He was supposed to be big, tough and ruthless....but he had a conscience and didn't really want to do things the way the "Prez" did. Asha was the princess but you couldn't help but like her. She wasn't snobby, pretentious or entitled. The two of them should have never met, let alone fall in love....and that love was ripped away from them in the blink of an eye. What to do when your gangs are enemies?!? Who can you really trust?!? How do you survive when the losses keep mounting up?!?
The author had the reader zooming through this book trying to figure out the where/when and why of the story. Every time the reader thought that they had things figured out, the author took such a sharp turn, curve or twist that the reader felt like they were on one wheel of the motorcycle. Just as the reader thinks everything will be ok and that love will win in the end the story is rocked by an explosion of mishaps....this book had a major cliffhanger ending that has left me on the edge of my seat yelling NOOOOO.....I need to know what happens next!! I am eagerly anticipating the second book in this series and recommend that you get book 1 now so that you can go on the journey with me!! Add this to your TBR list soon!!

The story has laughs, murder, kidnapping, memory loss, pain and heartbreak. I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well and I was kept interested.
This is a part of Asha and Zeke’s story. Asha’s brother is a MC Club’s president. A rival MC club is upset about him opening a new strip club. They decide to try and grab his sister Asha. Asha is on a road trip with 3 of her friends. They accidently meet up with the rival MC Brothers at a bar. The girls have no idea who they are. Zeke is supposed to grab Asha but before he can grab her there is an accident. They grab her from the accident but she has lost her memories all except Zeke who she thinks is her boyfriend. Will her memories come back? She thinks Zeke is her boyfriend but he runs hot and cold with her. Why? What is in her memories that he is afraid of? Should she be afraid? Is anyone looking for her? What happens to Zeke if her memories come back and she finds out he is keeping her from her only family her Brother?
I loved these characters and also the side characters. There are some tear filled moments and some anger filled moments in this story. But all in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. This story does end on a cliffy so be sure to keep a look out for the next book in the series.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
I was given a chance to read and review this debut book from a new author and when I read it was about bikers...I had to have it! Now I will say that it was a pretty good story and maybe because it takes place in Australia, it had a much softer feel to it. The main story is about a biker club that has a President holding a grudge against another due to a fight over a woman. It's ancient history but Zeke, the Prez's son is ordered to kidnap the daughter of his former friend and sister of the current Prez. It had a lot of humor and was fairly tame as far as biker books go (these Aussie bikers were so polite and jovial to each other!)...very little sex and violence was minimal and not really graphic. I would say club business was not the main focus here, but more of a murder mystery, kidnap plot gone wrong, forbidden love story and misunderstandings that will cause big trouble before they get solved. I didn't know it would end on a big cliffhanger with the reveal of a traitor to Zeke's club and unresolved issues between Asha (the kidnapped club princess) and Zeke, her bad-boy knight-in-shining armor...but it was a power-packed finish with a lot of untied ends. A pretty good first novel with a mucher lighter touch for those who don't want a gritty, dirty biker romance but prefer a more family friendly story.
**** 4 **** "twist of fate leads to unexpected love" stars
Zeke is instantly drawn in by Asha. They go through a crazy journey, but you always feel the love Zeke has for her. He wants to protect her even when it isn't her job. This story was well written and included a cast of characters, who i hope each get there own book.

Title: Break Down. Break Series #1 Author: A. M. Gillham
Writing: alternating Violence: Sexual Content
A. M. Gillham, Break Series starts out with Break Down. It starts off Zeke and Asha's story. Break Down is a great addition to the MC genre. A. M. Gillham did an amazing job with Zeke and Asha's characters. Her setting of the story and the concept around the Satan's Scoundrels, and the Chaos Crusaders is a new twist in the game. Zeke Cross is the hot as sin, Vice President to his father's motorcycle club, Satan's Scoundrels. Time moves faster for a man with ambition. And Zeke Cross has plans for the club. A club he devotes his life to, one he would die for. Even if his father doesn't understand time changes. Time moves on, and some old grudges die. And new people take over. Vince Rowe took over the Chaos Crusaders, hoping to change things. Make a memory of his dad's motorcycle club. One he wanted to be proud of. But things are hard when old grudges die hard.
Can two people destined to hate each other change things? Can they change old ways of the club. But how could they change when old wounds find new salt. Salt in the form of a chaos princess finding herself in the arms of Zeke Cross.
I loved the banter between Zeke and Asha. The small bits of sarcasm she spews towards him. They are funny to listen too. Asha holds her own amongst of the motorcycle gang. It was refreshing to find a woman not intimidated by the club's lifestyle. With her shyness at first, to her hard as steel spine. Zeke's rough around the edges, finds their own smoothness, when they meet Asha. No one has ever made this man wonder about his feelings. Have questions regarding another person. Having her in his life gives him something to live for. Gave him a purpose. Zeke finds out he can be the person he wants. The person he sees through Asha's eyes.
How can two people find a way to love each other when somethings are destined not to last forever?
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Break Down, I give it 4.5 stars. If you are a fan of MC novels, you need to read Break Down. If you haven't read a MC novel before, you will surely get hooked after this one.
Compared to other reviews given on this book, i must be in a book funk or something. I found it to be lacking to my tastes. There were inconsistencies with the amnesia. Her thinking Zeke is her boyfriend and not being able to remember anything, but comments "down boy, we aren't ready to go that far yet" How does she know how far they've gone if she can't remember?? I found some of to be believable either :( There were of eye rolling and WTF moments to me. I didn't enjoy the style of writing. When talking to each other there is over use of the 'brother' and 'mate', even there names are overused during conversations. I feel the heroine has a lot of childlike qualities. Constantly shouting "hell yeah" having a train a train of thought then thinking ' what am i doing?' to just go back to the same of train of thought. What she says also makes me think WTF. In a text message such as this " I DONT KNOW IF YOU KNEW WHO WAS I WAS WHEN YOU TOOK ME THAT DAY OR EVEN AT THE PUB THE NIGHT BEFORE, BUT......DAMMMIT I LOVE YOU AND IF YOU EVER THINK ABOUT COMING NEAR ME AGAIN, I WONT THINK TWICE. I WILL TELL VINCE EVERYTHING!!" If someone can please tell me why the I LOVE YOU part needed to be in there i'd be much grateful. In a believable and normal I LOVE YOU would the last thing she would feeling after a few days and practically what you would associate with kidnap. that one sentence screams desperation and I'm getting sick of reading books where the heroine wears her heart on her sleeve and shows all her cards. You can't threaten someone and tell them you love in the same sentence.

I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
I received a copy by the author for an honest review. By the look of the reviews, I guess I am in the minority on this book. I was ready to DNF Break Down at 10%. It wasn't keeping my interest, the sex was docile, and it was really tame for a MC book. Some of the chapters were pretty much the same thing, word for word; just told in both Zeke and Asha's point of view. I found myself skipping over multiple paragraphs, because I felt I had already read it. In Ms. Gillham's defense, she did warn about that in the beginning of the book.
So, I did finish the book. I enjoyed the twists and turns of the story. Hard to believe after this review but I am seriously considering purchasing Book 2. I want to know what is going to happen with Zeke and Asha, and the aftermath of the happenings in the book. (No spoilers from me!)
What a fabulous MC debut! The suspense, romance & overall storyline was a page turner!!! MC rival planned-out kidnapping gone wrong. Asha, sister of the president to the Chaos Crusaders just needs time away from it all. Her & her besties plan a fun filled vacation but little do they know what's in store for them...... Lives will change forever! A long they way they meet some bikers, who have an agenda of their own. Nothing pans out like it should've. This will make your heart-ache. It's extremly sad, the suffering endured, the secrets, lies and revelations. I'm extremly antsy to get my hands on book 2, needing to know who exactly is behind all unknown stalking! I was graciously gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
An awesome MC read. You should be 18 to read this book as it has some explicit sex and murder scenes. But If you like MC books with romance, mystery, murder and excitement, you will enjoy this book. My new book boyfriend is Zeke!! This book has some romance with Zeke and Asha, along with some pain. Some murder with another mysterious person. Some laughs with Asha and her friends. Some conflicts between two different MC clubs. Who’s up to what in this book? You have to read it to find out. It is a great read that keeps you interested throughout the book. You won’t want to put it down.
Have you ever looked forward to a trip that you really needed to reboot? Asha and her friends did. They were ready for a girls road trip. Along the way they stopped to have a little fun. What happens when a road trip goes from exciting to "I can't remember?" Asha is a sassy strong "princess" of a MC. Zeke is the VP of a rival MC that has orders to follow. Zeke meets Asha and they have a connection. this book has you going on a ride with some laughter, anger, tears and the question of who can you trust. Will Asha and Zeke be able to fight past all the twist and turns or will it be too much? Pick up a copy to find out.
I was given the great privilege of reading this, in return of a review. I was blown away at this MC book. Also being A.M. Gillman's first book. I was really impressed with her writing and the delivery of the story. I fell in love with Zeke and Asha! A few twist and turns of mystery, and I loved every second of it. I would highly recommend this book to you if you like MC books with a little bit of mystery to them! I can not wait for the next one to this series!!
My heart was in my throat the whole book! I so wanted Asha and Zeke together but couldn't see a happy ending with the plans that were going on in Zeke's MC club! The crazy dude running around killing people just adds to the angst......and now I have to wait for number two book for issues to resolve themselves! Good and different MC book.
Received an ARC copy for a honest review. Debut book from a new author where I found myself impressed. I really enjoyed. Action packed, unexpected twists, entertaining, suspenseful and romantic hot. Loved the characters. Definitely a page turner that leaves you hanging. Can't wait for the next book to see what happens.
Loved this book, the plot twists were amazingly intricate and the characters strong and well developed. Cant wait to read the second book in this series. For those of you who hate cliffhanger books this one may well change your mind, it is so well written that you can forgive the WTF happens now ending.
I really like the idea of this book. The warring MC's because of their fathers history and trying to turn that around. The fact that this book is more about the sister of the MC president and the plot to kidnap her all intrigued me. But I am truly sorry, I just couldn't get into the many POV's and that sometimes the same story is told but from 2 POV's just doesn't do it for me.
I have to say if you love MC books this series great to read, so far I have only read two of them bout to start on the third, its full of suspense, keeps you wondering whats going to be next and how Zeke falls for Asha and Asha for Zeke , I couldn't get enough . A.M. Gillham you definitely have a talent for keeping the reading interested.
I was lucky enough to beta read this book and for a first novel it is amazing. It totally blew me away how good this story is. The intrigue kept you on the edge of your seat, guessing until the very end and the heat between Zeke and Asha plays out beautifully. I cannot wait for book #2
Not really sure how I felt about this, did not like the soft way the H just did as his dad (prez) told him what to do ! He came across as a real P-----. The heroin had more gonads than he did, maybe the next book will make him find a pair ????
Loved this MC read. My first book by this author. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. The storyline was something different and well written. I liked the characters, Zeke is my favorite! Ends with a cliffhanger. I cant wait to see what happens next!!
This was a good first book. Its a little on the lighter side of the MC genre, even with the kidnapping and murder. This opens it up for a wide audience. Those who like heavy detail will especially appreciate this authors style of writing.
Great start to this series. I love Zeke and Asha and you can tell from the moment they met that sparks began to fly. Fast pace. Read book 1 and 2 in 24 hours. Getting ready to start Vince and Cassie's story.
This is the first AM book I've read. It was sexy, hot and full of sexy MC men. Loved how the story twists. Will be routing for Zeke and Asha. Can't wait to start book two. This cliffy is killer!!! 4.5/5 stars
