Timid enslaved scientist Lisette is drawn to her austere master Prax-Denay, but he’s from an alien subrace considered too loathsome to breed with humans. She’s instead pressured to marry his superior, the cruel aristocrat Jorenkis.
The Dak-Hiliah conquered Earth to acquire the single resource they lacked: women to breed with. Lisette, one of the few brilliant scientists left in Earth’s war-ravaged population, is plucked from the slave colony to help the scientist Prax-Denay. Since Lisette’s gifted and obedient her overseer promises she won’t be forced to marry against her will.
But what if she wants to marry?
Both she and her temperamental master are under the thumb of Jorenkis, an overindulged aristocrat who claims rights to Lisette long before she arrives on his planet. If Lisette were less introverted she’d stand a better chance at deflecting his advances. Her scientist mentor Prax-Denay looked to be even crueler than Jorenkis, but Lisette’s shy demeanor and impressive skill lights a spark in his eyes that’s reflected in her own.
Something more than mere professionalism prevents Prax-Denay from pursuing her. Lisette is forced to learn how tyrannical her masters truly are, and how dire her situation has become.

Okay this was a really quick read... It's a guilty pleasure, side story in the alien world Yamila has created. A one shot romance/erotica. Too fast paced to remember and too empty to take seriously.
The kind of snack you consume in between meals... Very simple plot with no twists. Empty characters with no souls or meat to them. No character development... Just empty dialogues and some sex...
I personally feel this book is a filler and too short to even enjoy. So this was not the kind of snack I was looking for... And yes, it was kind of dissapointing. But unlike her previous work, this a huge No for me. The cover art is cool... but not as cool as the others
To resume... This was not one of Yamila Abrahams greatest work... And because it was so empty and not even entertaining, I'm giving this a 2.5. No matter how much I liked her trilogy, I believe in giving an honest review. So... that's my final say in the matter! I bid you farewell and hope future reads are fabulous!
Some would probably say that Lisette was a doormat. It's her character was shy, timid, probably very very introvert with traumatic experiences during the Intrajact virus where they hid under the sewers for a year and ate bugs and other gross. But she survived.
Pax-Denay was the brother of Hor-Denay (Whore as Meritza said in Alien's Bride books). He was the member of the lowest caste in their world. He was from slums but he was extremely intelligent and was the one who discovered the vaccine.
They became colleagues and their working relationship was better. Until they hit the sheets and their relationship was illegal.
Both of them were really compatible from their work to their sex lives lels.
Ever since I read the first trilogy of Aliens Bride series I thought to myself "Wow! This book is amazing because it brings aliens look as bad guys, but in fact, as any breed near extinction, they want to survive."
Lord Elentinus ended up falling in love with his human bride, and being Viceroy on Earth he looks after of earthlings. When he calls to the slave Lisette to inform her that she would be transferred to another planet to help in interbreeding research, despite her being shy and afraid of what would happen in her future, he was cute with her.
Lisette arrives Paggellatin and knows Jorenkis, a young vain royals who wants to convince her to have sex with him, without forcing it, so they can be considered married. But Lisette ends up more interesting by the scientist with whom she has to work, Prax-Denay.
In fact, Prax could not have any contact with Lisette, even though she was a slave from the Earth, because he belonged to the worst kind on the planet, he was Etiken, and as such he could only conceive a female of his own caste. But Prax and Lisette fell in love, and decided to have sex, and keep it as secret.
Everything would remain so. As a human, to get pregnant from someone Dak-Hilian Lisette need to undergo surgery, as well as when they implemented a translator implant in her brain. But something went out of plan, and now Prax and Lisette would have to face the High Council and have their worst nightmare made real...
A fun and romantic alien novel. You should read it!!
Enjoyed it immensely and very creative writer. I am glad to see the other characters from previous books are still there helping the earth's women in finding a mate. Truly loved it and hope to read more about the Dak- Hiliah and the Etiken race; please keep them coming.
It was fast paced and a quick read. It was a very simple plot but I guess I was glad that it all turned out well for the two main characters. It had great potential but sadly felt like it ended abruptly.
