The Hell's Disciples MC Series book 3

They say love comes in all shapes and sizes, and is found in the most unexpected places. I wasn't looking for anything when I knocked on that big, wooden door, but what I got was a rude ass, leather wearing biker who made me feel, and want things I never thought were possible.

Rampage is crude, rude, and tough. He’s everything I’m not, but he’s everything I need. He’s my strength when I’m weak, my shoulder to lean on when the weight of my world gets too heavy. He’s my voice when I don’t have one, and he holds me up when I need it the most.

Love is for the weak. It does nothing but hurt your pathetic feelings, break your weak little heart, and give you the worst f*****g headache of your life. If you let that shit in, it will break what was never broken in the first place, and now it's trying to sneak in and break me. A little smartass angel has found a way to work her way in without permission, wreaking havoc on my rule of never loving anyone.

Lailah is the soft to my hard, the social to my antisocial, the innocent to my corrupt, and the sweet to my mean. She’s the eternal optimist when it comes to love, and without even knowing she's doing it, she’s trying to make me a goddamn believer. I may not believe in love, but I do believe in Lailah. She’s the calm to my rage, and that is what I do I believe in.

In a reading slump so I decided to do a full re-read of this one. Yes it's still a 5 star read for me. Loved the emotions the author wrings from me and the way she writes Rampage's struggles and especially his realization of the deep love he has for his LaLa. Shed some tears in this book.

First Read November 2015
This is the third book of the series and IMO the best. It’s a great love story that wrings emotions from your heart. I loved Tank and Lil’s relationship (books 1 & 2) but Rampage and Lailah went straight to my heart. I loved Rampage’s character in this book. He’s the bad ass SAA for the club and is so scarred from his past he has decided to never fall in love and commit to a woman. To him women are good for sex, cleaning up, cooking, etc. In walks Lailah, who retains a sense of sweetness, class and innocence even though life has dealt her some hard blows. I liked the fact that Rampage and Lailah didn’t fall into bed immediately and then develop a relationship. Rampage took it slow and they became friends. As usual, Rampage has to save her several times and we get a look at the hard side of this hot, alpha man. But he’s never harsh with LaLa, his nickname for Lailah. We have the usual club whore who thinks she has a claim on Rampage and who throws in a monkey wrench into the developing relationship between Rampage and LaLa. There is no actual verbal commitment from Rampage until the last 25% of the book, although he has shown his commitment and feelings by his actions. On the subject of cheating, there is only once instance when Rampage has the bad club whore perform oral sex and I really didn’t classify that as cheating. It came after finding LaLa in a strip club after her disappearance and him begging her to leave with him. She refuses. Of course, LaLa is under the control of the villain at that time, a childhood friend, who became her lover prior to meeting Rampage. The villain holds a threat over LaLa’s head thus forming the basis of her capitulation to the villain.
What I loved most about this book was the author’s ability to wring so much emotion from me, yes even tears, during the last part of the book when Rampage is literally brought to his knees and professes his undying love for LaLa. But it’s almost too late. I’m not going to spoil anymore of the ending because I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see how it ended. I was mad at the author thinking no, no you can’t be doing this to me but then when I got to The End I was smiling and thinking how much I loved Rampage.
This is a story I will read again. I liked the reappearance of the characters from the previous books and loved the witty banter between the guys in the club as well as the women. No doubt, this author can write a story that engages you with the characters and the storyline.
A solid 4.5 stars for me.

Note: Please be sure to read the second edited copy of the book rather than the first release.

This book was AWESOME!!! I bloody loved it!!!

Sometimes I am so overwhelmed after reading a book, that I find it really hard to put the appropriate words together to express how I feel about it.

Rampage... Oh, Rampage... I just love him! He is rough, cruel, violent, rude, HOT and unpredictable. Ever since reading The Ride, I was looking forward to his book and I was not disappointed. Rampage is positively and absolutely an attack to the senses! Breathtaking!

Lailah is Lil's friend and when she goes to visit her at the Club, she meets Rampage. Lailah is sweet, but so strong at the same time. She has a past that haunts her and torments her. Their attraction to each other is instant, but they do not act on it straight away.

The way Jaci J unfolds their story is captivating. The pace set is such, that you can instantly connect with the characters from page one. The fact that the book is narrated by both POVs is a huge plus for me. I felt every single one of their emotions, no matter how intense or not. I felt their happiness, their angst and their pain straight to my soul. Sometimes I laughed and others I UGLY cried.

I loved their story. It was epic.

Action-packed, bloody, violent, fast, eventful and heartbreaking, this book is a MUST read and I cannot stop recommending it enough. Definitely among my favorite reads.

I am honored to have beta read such a great book.

I really liked this book until about the 70% mark. Then the hero turned into a jackass which then caused the heroine to do something so stupid! I get that she thought she was protecting her friends and family but after everything they went through together she should have known to go to her family instead of running away. The ending really left me hating the entire book!

description

It sounded so so promising. But it was all over the place. At first I thought that it was different from other biker books when the hero did not take her to bed as soon as he saw her. Rampage was meh .

Laila was like a doormat. I like submissive heroines but she was stupid.

It was not for me. I forced myself to read it till page 141 then I was done.

Writing this review, minutes after finishing this book. My eyes are swollen and puffy and I have the stuffy nose going on, holy hell that was some emotional writing at the end!! Loved Rampage even though he was an hardass he defiantly redeemed himself in the end . Would have been a four star read for me up until the 80% mark and then I was blown away!!

The Rage (Hell's Disciples MC #3)
Jaci J.
5 heart breaking brilliant stars

The Hell's Disciples MC Series book 3 -- If you have triggers from reading about abuse and violence against women do not click this book up.

Rampage (Jameson) … Lailah (Lala) Ray….. The Rage …. I could leave that statement alone right there and say “boom” -- five stars – click it – read it – let these two own you for the time it takes to travel the torturous road with them because you WONT put it down. Jaci J … you killed it.

Rampage is harsh, dangerous and claims he cant love. He doesn’t want what Tank or Gin has. He will never take an Old Lady, a wife … not for him. Love is weak, idiotic and makes a man into a p**sy. Something that he is not or ever will be no matter who thinks they can tame him. Its not that he gives these women hope because he doesn’t. In fact he only dips into “gash” on occasion as he has more important things to do like keep his family safe. Rampage is the muscle of the club. Tank shouting for him to baby sit Lil’s friend when she shows up while he gets his rocks off with the love of his life is a nuisance …. Who knocks on an MC door … ? … Who does that crap? Swinging it open he shouts “Welcome to Hell … “ and in hell he finds an angel standing before him. Lailah .. ?? no … from now on her name is Lala. LOVE THAT! -- Swoon! Jaci does an absolutely incredible job of her description throughout the book of Rampage and how he looks …. A beautifully scarred man with no apologizes … yes … just yes …

Lala cant believe she let Lil talk her into coming to the MC party but its better than being at home … Deciding to be brave she knocks on the door only to be welcomed to hell and find the most gigantic beautiful crude and amazing man standing before her. The magnificent creature before her would become her savior; she wasn’t looking to bring anyone into her darkness but she needs him. Letting the weight of the world fall from her shoulders and balance on him is a gift yet how can she free herself from all of it without hurting the only family she has ever known and come to love. She must protect them even if it means her life. Lala is one heck of a warrior … she is radiance and chooses her over being destroyed ... until she cant anymore ... that’s just about all Im saying.

OMY LORD … Jaci J … this series has taken on an entire new life and direction. I liked The Run and Crash and Burn but you have outdone yourself with The Rage; Lala and Rampage’s story. My heart was completely destroyed. As it was falling apart I was grabbing the pieces trying desperately to breathe in long slow breaths telling myself it was going to be alright. At about 11:45 last night I was in bed reading whispering .. No, No, NO …. My husband sprung up and said .. what … whats wrong .. after seeing the glow of the KINDLE he smiled and said nevermind .. LOL! …. You broke me, you put me back together and broke me again … I never in my life saw the train derailing and plowing me over like it did.

THIS BOOK IS BRILLIANT! Click it up friends. It is not required you read the first two books in the serious but I suggest you do. Knowing this MC family is something you don’t want to miss. Im moving on to my ARC of The Run … I hope my heart can take it.

No spoilers but keep reading .. don’t give up. Tape your heart into your chest and move forward … Thank you Jaci for trusting me with these two characters. Lala and Rampage broke the mold ….

I really enjoyed The Rage. I had not read the previous books in the series but the synopsis of this book was too good to pass up. This story was gritty, violent and heartbreaking. I loved Rampage the rugged, surly biker and I felt so sorry for Lailah an abused woman who learned to smile to hide her pain. This book takes you on a rough journey and the last 90% is devastating but well worth it.

DISCLAIMER TO MY FELLOW GOODREADER
This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants, cussing (sometimes I cannot help myself) and a possible full on recap. I in no way want to ruin anyone’s book reading experience so please read my words with caution.

30 year old Rampage loves being a member of the Hell's Disciples MC. For the past 12 years, he's lived and breathed the MC. He associates with brothers and only those who are connected to the MC in some way. Lil (Tank's Old Lady and sis to the MC brothers) wants to hook him up with one of her friends. Of course the grumper refuses... Until he sees her.

"That voice is soft, but confident; a voice any many would want to hear say his name while he was fucking this angel. I've got to fight for my words. Fight motherfucker, fight!"

24 year old Lailah has led a hard life. Her mother was a stripper who had her when she was just 15. Lailah learned independence and strength at a young age. She became friends with Lil Cruz. They met while she needed some tutoring awhile back for school. After Lil's son Ty came into the world, Lailah starts hanging around the MC clubhouse - breaking out of her comfort zone a little bit. She is drawn to Ramage (the most stand offish brother).

Holy fucking shit. The emotions. The ending made my heart hurt.

Cliffhanger – no (book 3 of series)
POV - Rampage and Lailah

This has to be one of my favourite books of the year, if not ever. I loved the first two books in this series but this book for me was epic! For me, its one of those books that has everything - the alpha male lead, strong heroine, danger & violence, laughter and cry your eyes our heartbreak!! I was so greatful to be asked to beta read for Jaci and get a sneek peak!

As this is the third book in the series it is necessary to read the first two books first. I loved that this is a continuation of the characters from the earlier books but focusses of Rampage and Lala. Lala is one of my fav female leads - strong and definately holds her own in a book full of strong characters! Rampage is awesome - alpha, scary, fierce and just takes this book to a new level!

This book really is a must read for anyone who loves MC romance books. This was a big 5 stars for me! This is definately a book that sticks with you for hours if not days afterwards! Took me awhile to get my emotions back in check! Loved it!

--------------
I bought to read on kindle in November 1, 2014 and I forgot completely, then last week I saw a comment and remembered I had loved the series. To my surprise when I went to buy the book I saw that had already made the purchase last year.
The story was good, but I was angry with the number of repetitions of the word "b***h"!
But I like the author and was accompanying the series which is very cool and interesting.
Recommend to anyone who likes to read books about Motorcycle Clubs.

80% of the book was great but i did not understand the end it was so confusing i mean at first everything pointed to Lala dying and leaving Rampage and the club looking after his and Lala's daughter, i mean their talking as if she's dead and while he is reading a letter that Lala had written rampage when she was with ryan (because he reads it every year on her birthday like she did die.) and he's crying and then she walks through the door and just appears there. Idk you have to read the book to understand what i'm talking about, the end is very confusing.

Another thing that bothered me through the whole book was that a lot of what the characters say are very contradictory. The authors writing for this book is inconsistent and sometimes while i was reading this book it felt like i was reading Tank and Lil's story again but with tiny differences.

But fuck i hate that god damn ending its stupid i mean one minute ya think she's dead the next she's walking through the fucking door.

I had the pleasure of being a beta reader for this book. So not only did I get to read the first run raw copy, but I also got to read it again as the almost completed copy. I don't normally like to re-read books and find myself skipping over parts. I did not do that with this book. You can literally hear Rampage's voice in your head. I even found tears in my eyes on parts I knew the outcome on. That says something. Great book, great read and I'm actually looking forward to reading it again when I one click it tomorrow.

My favourite of the series so far. We didn't really get to know Rampage in the first 2 books as he didn't say much, but I really liked him. Lailah's story was pretty tragic at times, but she's a fab character.

Good read.

3.5 stars.
I really liked Lala and thought she was awesome for the most part, other than having no self-respect, and therefore accepts rampage kind of treating her like shit. But otherwise, she was the kind of chick I strive to be, chill yet able to hold her own.

The writing was really good and the book had my rapt attention. I like how this book is balanced, not as offensive, depressing or disturbing as a lot of MC books, but still edgy and intense. It wasn't ridiculously angsty, but definitely not a simple feel-good book.

I had a love-hate relationship with rampage. I loved him in the beginning, he was so into Lala and good to her. But about halfway through the book I thought he was really self-centered and completely took advantage of Lala. You could tell he really cared about her in his POV, but it didn't excuse his assholishness towards Lala. He became more and more concerned with what he wants and getting his rocks off, rather than what was good for Lala, who was already dealt a really shitty hand. I thought he treated her like shit for way too long, basically using her and giving her little in return. There was what I saw as cheating, despite Lala excusing it because Rampage did not "officially" claim her, and leaves her to be beat to hell. That really tarnished my opinion of him, giving up on her so easily the moment he doesn't feel like #1, yet he gave her no reason to think he actually cared about her more than a friends with benefits set-up. He never actually claims her until the epilogue years later where he suddenly has his shit together and they're all happy. So you don't really get to see a huge metamorphosis of his character and his treatment of Lala improving and treating her how he should have until the very end, so you don't get to actually see much of his growth.

I would've liked more time spent on when they had their shit figured out, rather than only getting a few pages of that at the very end after so much angst and sadness. There's only like 2 pages of them being legit happy together.

I still think it's worth reading, especially because of how cheap it was. It was enjoyable, I just hope the next book has a better hero to match the awesomeness of the heroine.

I could not put this down!!!

LOVED IT!!!

I enjoyed the first two in the series but wasnt sure I wanted to continue well I am glad I did this was kick a#$ soooo good.

I loved Rampage he was a hellbeasty of a man and that attitude I wanted to slap and tickle him.

Lala hoowee that poor girl she went through the works of everything. Her strength and attitude and angel lightness was exillerating how amazing is she!!!

I balled my eyes a few times in this storyit was an empotional rollercoaster of events and choices.

the story was action packed not boring filling just straight up action and drama.

All up I freaking loved this Book and I cannot wait to continue on with the series.

I really enjoyed this book, even more so than the 1st two books.
This story is about "rampage" and as his name describes him he is a hard guy, and enforcer of the gang.
He meets a lass Lilian, as he calls her Lala. Instantly they click and fall in a relationship with no names and all is good until.......
Love the hot sex romance turmoil violence but a happy ending !
Oh the the word bitch is used a lot to describe woman,
So if you don't like this don't read it will really annoy you!
Guess what I will be reading next in this series 😜😀

Great read

Bought the book a while back and finally got a chance to read it. When I tell you it’s worth it it’s worth every penny. Had me in my feelings. I thought tank had me but rampage stole the cake. I loved this book and the relationship between LaLa and rampage. Some say it didn’t have enough feeling as far as rampage expressing himself but there are ppl out there that are just like him and I could feel the love he had for lala even though it was not outright spoken. in some ways I could see aspects of myself in lala . Definitely would recommend I really loved it

Hell's Disciples MC (3)

Wow! Yet another excellent book in the series. Rampage is aptly named, he is a hard man, not into love and togetherness, it's for the weak. Lailah is a friend of Lil, he insists on calling her Lala. Again not a soppy romance. She falls hard, so does he but wont claim her, not into that shit. Then she leaves to go back to work. Nobody knows where but he finds her, ain't pretty. Takes her home, for a while it's fine then she disappears, life just got really bad for them both

Heart wrenching.

What great characters! This was such a good story. These were two damaged souls drawn to each other by what can only be fate. On one side we have Rampage, a rough, tough gigantic man. He believes he can’t love except in the carnal sense. Then there is Lailah, a gentle loving woman who just gives and gives. Fate is not kind to them and the author has written a dramatic ending.

Loved it!

WHAT THE FUCK? I MEAN THIS GUY IS CALLING EVERY GIRL A BITCH AND THEN HE SNORTS COKE FROM THE HEROINES STOMACH? A FEW HOURS AFTER MEETING HER? AND SHE LETS HIM? WTF???? not gonna continue this right now . Maybe when I get over the fact that drugs are so heavily involved, later when I'm not so pissed off.. I also found a lot of spelling / grammar mistakes that bugged me.

Rampage and Lala book 3 Hell's Disciples MC book 3

Rampage is the Sgt. Of Arms of the MC. He's all club and business unless it's time to party. Lala or actually Lailah is Lil's friend from school. She tutors her but she doesn't know a ton about her. Lala has had a rough life and when she meets Rampage she's taken with him. Is she gonna be the one to calm the beast?

Rampage - a hard core, badass, alpha male, overprotective and big hulk of a man - becomes attracted to Lil's friend Lailah or Lala as he calls her. He has huge commitment issues and Lailah just wants his love. There are lots of emotional moments especially near the end which touch your heart. Really enjoyed this one.

Getting Better

So far #3 is my favorite book. It's more in-depth, focusing more on the characters. I was surprised yet pleased with the ending. Grammatical errors still abound. Publishers need a new proofreader.
