„Atelier: The Story of One Miracle“ is the unlikely tale of how a sparklingly unique Belarusian identity emerged from the drab everyday conformity of Soviet existence.

It is Christmas of 1980 and a group of Minsk students calling itself the „atelier“ decides to revive an old folk tradition of door-to-door caroling and collection of donations. This, as it turns out, is merely the first in a series of boldly subversive steps. The group soon becomes the nucleus of an ever-broadening national movement which eventually gives rise to a newly independent nation...

Here is the tale of the magical beginnings of the Belarusian „atelier“ and its founders, 50 people whose Belarusian journey started thirty years ago.

Пісьменьнік, літаратурны крытык, журналіст, выдавец. Нарадзіўся 17 верасьня 1959 году ў Мазыры. Гадаваўся й вучыўся ў Менску. Скончыў журфак БДУ (1984). Служыў у войску (1978-1980).

Выдавец нелегальных часопісаў «Люстра Дзён» (1980), «Бурачок» (1986), незалежных пэрыёдыкаў «Кантроль» (1988), «Літаратура» (1999) і інш. Працаваў у выдавецтве БелСЭ (1984), газэце «Гомельская праўда» (1984-1987), часопісе «Нёман» (1987-1990). Галоўны рэдактар газэтаў «Свабода» (1990-91) і «Наша Ніва» (1991-2000), радыё «Балтыйскія Хвалі» (2000-2001), аўтар перадачаў на Радыё Свабода (з 1997).
