Kamachi Kazuma (鎌池和馬) is a Japanese-born light novel author and the original creator of the Toaru Majutsu no Index light novel series and Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, its spin-off manga series.
Damn, dammit, dammit! So it's finally time for your real LN debut!? Shit, I ended up forgetting about her for a while, maybe a mischievous esper erased my mind without me realizing? After her big appearance on Railgun and unexpected popularity, did Kamachii decide it was time for some arc in the main series heavily involving her? Well unfortunately he will probably have to spread his legs and get some criticism. I was really looking forward to it, but man, what a tedious start....
The story was told in a very simple way, the writing strategy here is very basic... It comes down to creating several situations that a character remembers from the past, but it is cut into several parts, which only ends up leading to a low attachment to situations, as the development is quite fast and barely noticeable (After NT7 with its mysteries involving Kamijou Touma and other girls, I really expected more.). Still, this obvious and clichéd writing strategy has its own advantage..... Seeing all the efforts of a maiden just to be able to remember something that has already been lost is simply elegant and vivid. I admit, it could be worked better, but I love these connotative senses like passion, and even though Index doesn't work that much, it's good to know it's there. Well, at least with each of these back-stories you'll be able to feel something, as Kamachii's strong writing helps with immersion in the script, but the narrative is a little tedious because of the obviousness and bizarre speed of things.
Probably the most tortuous feeling here is one of dispersion.... It's similar to arriving late for an important class and feeling dispersed, out of place in relation to other students or towards the advancement of the new subject. Nevertheless... WHO CARES!? IN THE END IT'S JUST A SUBJECT THAT HAVE NEVER FOUND IN THE ENTRANCE EXAM, SO WHAT DOES MATTER!? In fact, when you see the script, it does nothing more than play with you to give you a future plot twist, something similar to NT7, but which still contains its originality.... Seriously, if human beings would recycle their garbage like Kamachii recycles his story, the oxygen would probably be pure (Well, breathing that would be dangerous and contradictory in chemical matters....... Ah, how impolite of me, I'm not comparing Index to garbage obviously, after all, if if that were the case, I wouldn't feel sad about becoming homeless).
Talking about connectivity, it's still as impressive as ever, it's probably the best point of Index.... Terms before preceded and explained in a boring way that seemed just to inflate the script (usually scientific terms) turn into a kind of plot very simple twist, but at the same time, appreciable Just for convenience, the narrative that intersects with writing in correlation with "bees and ants" (also counting the terms that precede them) was very good.
"Are you an idiot? This is just an excuse to fall into the life of crime." By Kamijou Touma and shared by Shokuhou Misaki.
The dialogues about morals and ethics here have been satisfying... Yes, it might be a little idealistic, but overall, it's really right in most cases Normally human beings will stick to 50 different shades of excuses for their own inability. It's normal, it's common, it's hypocritical, it's despicable, but above all, it's human I expected more from this volume, but as always, I can hardly predict what Kamachii's creative mind will approach, so it was still a pretty fun volume to read, even though it could be better in some ways (Well.... Some more pages could solve these problems)
Finally, I love it when Index decides to get into desperate situations, as the author knows really well which words to relocate to bring more impact to the scene or how many complex games it takes to checkmate the reader's heart (Really, I feel like Kamachii even though he's not an esper he manages to control hearts better even than the big queen bee... Strangely enough he still doesn't make the romance progress at all)
Note: Shokuhou best girl? Yes or of course?
Okay... I read the Biohacker arc, it was about 460 pages. It was a little boring, but it was still very good..... The final villain was really bad, the villains having a chat with the good guys after a deadly battle wasn't so well done, but..... Damn, the value of The writing was really good and the way the narrative changed beautifully in the final plot twist was AMAZING (Even though it was predictable, it made me very tense).
Mitsuri Ayu became one of the best girls and the progression of her relationship with Touma was well done (The same can't be said for Kumokawa Seria, who seemed more like comic relief in the romantic parts).
I really have criticisms for Biohacker Arc, but I really liked its concept and how the Imagine Breaker became obsolete in the volume (Damn... Kamijou Touma Before Lost Memories was really nice. He really is a complex character, but you need to have one little text interpretation).
Damn, if it weren't for a few problems here and there I could easily give 5 stars, but I'll also give Biohacker 4 (At least it was better than the Mental Out arc)
I started off not being so into it. "No.5 recalling her past" didn't sound amazing. But I was wrong. It turned into a total mind-screw and not bad at all for a one-shot between arc book. Based on what happened at the end, I'm really excited for the next arc.
