How Close Are We?: Compelling Evidence for the Soon Return of Christ

Rate this book
How close are we? What are we waiting for? The early church believed that Christ could come at any moment. Today we may have lost that urgent sense of expectation—and the fire, passion, and motivation such a hope inspires. But He is coming, and we can renew our excitement for this imminent reality.

In a refreshing, thoroughly biblical, and compelling look at prophecy, noted author Dave Hunt challenges readers to evaluate their lives in light of Christ's promise, "I will come again." You'll be motivated to share the good news with others, encouraged by God's sovereign plan for His followers, and renewed in your love and commitment to the Lord.

Like no other, this book will change the way you think, speak, and live in a world that desperately needs to meet its Maker.

I am not a big fan of Dave Hunt's eschatology and many points seem to run with arguments of presupposition rather then the comparison and contrast of two polar beliefs and finding the truth between them.

Though well written and easy to read, i do not agree with his eschatology and his way of refuting calvinism. He seems to use a lot of straw-man arguments, which i do not like.

Christian NonFiction Definitely Worth the Read

It's been a few years since I read this, but I remember how captivating it was. In fact, I practically devoured it, and then tried to talk all my friends into reading it.

It is a good, comprehensive guide to end times prophecy, tying all the different pieces together.

Biblically sound with every point backed up by scripture.

This thoughtful and well researched book by Dave Hunt, late of the Berean Call (he passed away a couple of years ago), is the clearest and best explanation of the timing of the Rapture Doctrine. With the evidence from the Bible laid out clearly and simply, it is easy to follow and makes a compelling argument for the Pre-tribulation Rapture position.

I've read this book twice. At least I'm 99% certain. I'd have to check to be sure. It's been updated, retitled and rereleased since then. I think it's now called, "When Will Jesus Return?"
