Jennifer and Hunter have fought tooth and nail to survive. They’ve been torn apart, broken, and rebuilt more times than they can count. Now, after everything, they’ve been given a second chance—a fragile life of safety within the walls of Spring Colony.
But safety doesn’t last forever.
A new threat is rising; one even more dangerous than the last. And this time, it isn’t just their hearts or their secrets at risk.
I get Joey. I get why he feels the way he feels towards hunter. I don't blame either. I just wished that he didn't still love Jennifer. She doesn't deserve that love from him. Joey is justified in my book for wanting to k!ll hunter. It's getting good. But I also wonder why not go underground. So many subways and under ground structures that could have been way safer.
So this book had one hell of a cliffhanger as well! my two favorite characters of course are the main characters Jennifer and Hunter. I still hate Emily and honestly Joey is the next one I can't stand I get that it's the apocalypse or whatever but there aren't any other people these people can go bother? maybe I'm taking it too personally but if you see that two people have something going on go on and move on to the next Emily might have a little bit more of an excuse because of her situation with Hunter but still like baby have some self-worth
I really do feel bad for Jennifer a lot of the times and maybe that's because we started out with her and Hunter but half the time I'm left wondering if she and here even going to end up together. the fact that I'm even rooting for them to end up together says a lot about how well the story is written. it takes a special kind of writing style to actually bring together something like this and not make it feel tastless. and this story was definitely tasty. one thing I will give it also is the sex scenes are A1. I actually start getting hot when I'm reading them. they feel natural and I like how they just ease in and the interactions feel very realistic even with the characters outside of the mains
