I only noticed this because I read two of Hardy's medicals back to back, but I swear to god, a patient died at exactly the same spot in each book. If it happens again, I'm not sure I won't be able to think of it as a ritual killing.

The words " Blame it on...." have always been the response of most people when they realize they should have known better and there in actual fact is no real excuse, so you grasp at whatever you can.

In this read from the very talented Kate Hardy is the champagne getting the blame. At a London salsa club ( sexy as all heck I will add) consultant Aaron Hughes catches sight of the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. He doesn't do relationships but one night of fun with a perfect stranger can't hurt, or can it?

Registrar Joni Parker, dancing and sipping champagne is just what the Dr. ordered to remedy her what-would -have-been-wedding -night. Until she finds an even better cure, her very first ever fling! It's excitement overload! But what starts with no strings turns into one big old complication when Aaron walks into the hospital on Monday morning as the new consultant.

This was an incredibly sexy read from start to finish I was hooked over and over by the absolutely brilliant chemistry between Aaron and Joni, talk about setting the pages alight! I adored Aaron to absolute bits, all I wanted to do was grab him and keep him to myself. The author gave him the perfect balance of non - committal but willing to try for the right reasons , I loved every minute!!

And Joni, oh my gosh my heart shattered into a million pieces for this poor heroine, the author put me front and center for every single drop of emotion this heroine experienced, her heartache, the shame, the hope and the very real reality she had to face.

This is one of those reads that if I dare to go on with my review I will without a doubt spoil it, because it's a book that I will ever stop talking about it was that good! So am going to only add that if there is only one medical romance you read this year, make it this one.

Emotionally packed, drama filled, shocking revelation filled and a gorgeous romance that tells of hope and new beginnings.

Flirting With Dr. Off Limits is by Robin Gianna. It is a medical romance. It is an easy, yet good read. It talks about love being something we cannot control nor ignore and second chances.
Dr. Katy Pappas was excited and overjoyed to be working at Oceanside Hospital where her brother worked; but she was so afraid she would not be able to handle the stress. Her tendency to be awkward would come into play at just the wrong time, she just knew it. However, here she was on her first day and already exhausted from having spent the night in the ER. She hadn’t handled herself well there, she couldn’t help but second guessing herself. Now she faced even more possible awkwardness when she came face to face with her teaching doctor, Alec Armstrong. Katy had grown up following her brother, Nick, and Alec around. She hero-worshiped Alec. Now that she knew the truth about his playing around, she just wanted to get through this teaching assignment.
Alec Armstrong was indeed once a player; but the incident that Katy remembered from Nick’s wedding, was in the past. He had been instrumental in getting a good doctor fired for having an affair with her. She had been his teaching doctor. His Father, who had never approved of anything Alec did, had managed to sweep Alec’s responsibility under the rug and he was able to stay on through his residency. Alec had never forgotten that and made sure he stayed well away from any hint of impropriety now. However, he was sorely tempted when he first saw Katy again. Nick’s little sister had grown up into a gorgeous woman who simply took his breath away. What was he going to do about that?
This is a really good book and a quick read. Robin did a great job with characters and plot. The plot flows smoothly and catches your attention and pulls you right along with it

Joni Parker, whose mother was Navajo, is a tropical diseases registrar at a London hospital. On what would have been her wedding night, she has her first ever ONS with a gorgeous man she meets in a salsa club. Of course he turns out to be the new consultant at the hospital where she works.

Dr Aaron Hughes feels responsible for the death of his older brother 25 years ago & doesn't trust emotions. His family are cold & distant.

I didn't find Aaron a believable character, which defeated the purpose of the book.

Joni's best friend Bailey is the MFC in A Baby to Heal Their Hearts.

A pretty good book that would be the lazy-day kinda read. I liked the characters and their personalities. This wasn't slow moving but not fast-paced either. It kept me interested and the emotions and thoughts were well written so I could 'get' both characters. I liked the differences and their similarities. The friend and family were good side characters and I'm glad they were in it. I enjoyed reading this and wouldn't say no to reading it again, but it wouldn't be one of my S&R books. Enjoy

Though I enjoyed this book, it veered from three to four stars for me.

Despite the no strings beginning, it's mostly a rather sweet romance with a satisfying conclusion. I really wasn't sure about the constant trauma of the hero and heroine or the constant trauma at the hospital - which for some reason for me came across as quite incongruous.

Did love the art and restoration references too!

The constant use of 'blew out a breath' did also grate a little...
