As the nation watched the protests, riots, and civil unrest unfold during the summer of 2020, Pastor James E. Ward, Jr.'s seminal message was heard from coast-to-coast on local airwaves to CNN. On national live television, he called for America to address a "spiritual and moral law" crisis to heal and reconcile the country. He warned Americans to push away victimhood identities and develop a new attitude in Christ. The "Zero Victim" message is one that James has been preaching, teaching, and writing about for years. Today, his message takes on new meaning for a generation of Americans who are hurting and seeking real and lasting change in our culture. His words will set you free from fear, anxiety, depression, and discouragement.
James E. Ward, Jr. in his new book, “Zero Victim” by James Ward Ministries, Inc gives us Liberate Yourself from the Mentality of Defeat.
From the back cover: At some point we all wonder, “Why Me?”
We are all destined to confront pain in our lives. Some of us experience unspeakable tragedy while others are subject to ridicule, discrimination, mockery-even violence. At times, even the ones we love the most treat us with scorn and disrespect.
Let’s face it. We live in a hostile world where imperfect people develop imperfect systems. We all endure difficulties at no fault of our own, turning us each into victims.
But have you noticed how some people rise above their victimization while others sink into mental and spiritual defeat? Despite similar circumstances, some people thrive while others wither away.
In Zero Victim, author and corporate executive James Ward shows how repeated victimization destroys your positive outlook by permanently creating negative memories and damaged emotions. He exposes victimization as the real problem-not your set of unfortunate circumstances.
In this revolutionary book, Ward shows you how to develop a programmed mind-set to overcome injustice and recognize victory in every situation. His revolutionary “Zero Victim Mentality” will set you free from your days of fear, depression, and discouragement.
Pain is inevitable Suffering is optional
Let’s face it events go wrong. And when that happens blame is placed on us others are upset and say abusive things toward us. Then we start with the victim mentality: “why me?” and other choice thoughts. Pastor Ward doesn’t want us to react that way. He feels that this is a taught response that needs to be untaught. We need to have the Zero Victim Mentality. This mentality takes us out of the bondage and into, not only freedom, successful reactions and relationships. Pastor Ward writes vividly! In nine chapters and an appendix he teaches us what the victim mentality is and then what steps we need to take to overcome that line of thinking and become a Zero Victim. I think that this is a needy book for all of us. I also think that this would be a great gift for our friends and family so that they can overcome this negative thinking and move into being a zero victim as well.

I have lived moving from victim to victorious and this book follows much of what my path did but from the perspective of ethnicity rather than social position and gender. He softens the hard edges of many of the ‘moral’ hardliners with measures of compassion but maybe has overlooked some medical/mental health realities. It offers sound advice and has pretty reasonable theology.
Probably one of the best self help therapeutical books I have read In my lifetime and I'm 50. This is a book to definitely buy and pass out to people who are struggling And to realize What we think is what we are!
This is a very good introduction to getting rid of a victim mentality. Ward shares his own journey as well as the biblical foundation for his teaching. I like how he writes about one's attitude. A person who has a victim mentality tends to read it into circumstances. One who has a Zero Victim mentality tends to read it out of circumstances. Ward includes some suggestions and techniques to getting to that Zero Victim mentality. They are good but they do lack practical exercises or specific ways to train the mind. Because of that, I suggest this book be read with trusted friends as that helps with ideas and accountability. See my complete review at http://bit.ly/1CQJmcC. I received a complimentary copy of this book through The Barnabas Agency for an independent and honest review.
More than often we see weak grown men. Men that don't take responsibility for their own action because of their past. Everything that occurred bad in their life is never because of them. Always blaming others, too weak to desire a change, small minded men. This book teaches people how to start living a winning mentality.
