Life doesn't come with a play book. Preston Wade knows that better than most. Now, the former quarterback's career-ending injuries are not the only scars he hides.
Desiree Evans might be a catch, but she isn't ready to be anyone's trophy. Fresh out of law school, she has big goals and none of them include scoring the affections of Tampa's leading man, on or off the field. But, in more ways than one, his presence in her life could be a game changer.
Never let them see you sweat and always watch for the BLITZ!
Welcome to my sweet pandemonium, where angels, athletes and bikers come alive. Not always together, of course, but a girl can DREAM!! Happy reading, lovelies! The sky is the limit.

Warning: contains spoilers but may be important if you chose whether to read this book or not!
Ok to begin with I have to say I am really surprised I enjoyed this book so much, not because this is a new to me author or because it's a sports book but due to some of the content. I have to say if you don't like your hero and/or heroine sleeping with other characters this is not the book for you because both characters sleep with other people. The other problem with this book is that Desiree spends over half the book dating another man but I think the scene on the plane with Preston was definitely the worst moment in the book in my opinion for the ick factor. Another big thing was that Preston and Desiree really only get together in the last chapter and then it's the epilogue, so I really would have liked to see more of them "together".
So in saying all this I can't believe I liked it because this content has really lowered my enjoyment in previous books I've read and in fact I try to avoid this particular type of content but in this case I really enjoyed it, which means Michele Faison must be extremely talented in my opinion. The only thing I have to say in the negative was it is annoying when you pick up a book and it doesn't tell you there is 2 possible male characters in the heroines life because lots of readers I know dislike this intensely and something like this could be mentioned in the book synopsis. So overall while I am glad I didn't know what was going to happen in this book before I started it (because I may not have picked it up) I am really glad I read this book because it was a great read and while being a little predictable (in some cases) and lacking in the overall development of Preston and Desiree's relationship I would suggest you give it a try if you can get over what I mentioned earlier. I am looking forward to Hunter's book and those that follow in this series.
Michele Faison has done it again! Another great book by a lovely author. Her first book, Ethereal, is 180* different from this one. While Ethereal introduces readers to Trinity Grace and a whole different outlook on the soldiers who guard our freedom, Blitz gives us Desiree Evans and her difficult choice between football star Hunter Griffin and the serious - but extremely sexy - Preston Wade, a former football star turned businessman. A modern-day romance with some spicy language and naughty fun, this book delivers great characters and a fun time. So, go grab your favorite refreshing beverage, open the book, and let yourself fall into a few hours of fantasy. Oh, and while this book is a stand-alone, the author has plans to write more books to let you know what happens to those characters that you can't help but want to know more about!
* Disclaimer: I am friends with the author and edited the book, but that did not influence my opinion. This review is totally heart-felt!
Where to begin? Two football stars, one gorgeous girl and Tampa, Florida. No, don't get the wrong idea. She doesn't get both guys at once but she does get both guys but one really messes things up with her. Desiree is a recent college graduate with a great best friend and a super protective brother (who I hope gets his own book because I need to know). She comes home and finds herself in her brother's night club meeting all of these beastlike men. There's nothing better than a hot man with an 8 pack. So ladies, if you like the dad bod please don't expect that in this book. Muscles on muscles for both Hunter and Preston. I won't give anything away but there are some seriously hot scenes with some yummy men. I couldn't put this book down.
Two big bad wolves vying for the same girl. Which one has what it takes to get her? Very good, quick read that will keep you interested. Loved all the characters and can't wait to read the next one.
LAME. So much potential and it crashed and burned. Falling victim to cheesy dialogue and barely any angst for the pairing of these 2 to make sense. 2.5 *lack luster* stars
