It would really just be easier if you clicked the link. It's SIX books people! But I will post it here anyway.

Of Wings and Wolves by S.M. Reine

Synopsis: When 20-year-old Summer Gresham, a coed with a secret shapeshifting ability, is singled out for a prestigious internship, she’s stunned to discover Nash Adamson emphatically requested her. A rebel angel in exile, Nash has more than a few secrets of his own. With an angel war in the making and Summer at its crux, Nash has to choose what matters most: their love, or his freedom.

3 Stars

This book was pretty slow for my tastes. And the storyline was kinda hard to follow, like it wasn’t very cohesive if that makes sense. The love portion was decent and the writing was technically sound, but things happened a bit too fast for me and I didn’t connect with the characters on a deep level that I usually do. I don’t think I will be reading the next one.

Seven Years by Dannika Dark

Synopsis: Lexi Knight hasn’t seen Austin Cole since her brother’s funeral seven years ago. Now a dangerous bounty hunter, Austin reveals he’s also an alpha Shifter. But there’s another shocking twist, putting Lexi’s family in danger. Can their relationship be salvaged from the ruins of their past? Book One in a bestselling series about family, second chances, and finding that person who completes you.

4 Stars

I liked this one a lot. It had struggle both internally and externally. Lots of action that I love with shifter stories. And the steamy scenes were very well written. The only think I will say that didn’t blow me away was the fact everyone wanted her. It was like some super scent that permeated off her in waves that drove everyone wild with lust. It didn’t sit well with me for some reason. I would read the next one.

Hood’s Obsession by Marie Hall

Synopsis: Lilith Wolf, daughter of the Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood, is in heat–and being handfasted to the first male in her village to tame her wolf isn’t an option. So when Giles Damien comes calling, she journeys off with him to Fyre Mountain, crossing paths with an angry water dragon, a pub full of Merry Men, and rock dwarves with a taste for flesh … and maybe falling in love. These are the fairy tales no one ever told you about…

4 Stars

I am a huge fan of Marie Hall and have read most of these books already so I immediately liked this one as well. I fell hard for Giles as soon as he appeared in this book. Their conversations had a wide range of simple and easy going to intense and heartfelt. I need to catch up on this series.

Bloodsick by Melissa F. Olson (box set exclusive)

Synopsis: Sashi’s mother warned her not to get involved with werewolf problems. But Sashi, a witch who uses her magic to help cancer patients, has never made a habit of ignoring pain. When she meets an abused shapeshifter, Sashi will risk everything–including her fledgling relationship–to save a woman who can’t save herself. An Old World novella from the author ofDead Spots, Trail of Dead, and Hunter’s Trail.

4 Stars

I think this one is a prequel that was written after the fact. This one had me a little twitchy. I usually don’t have any triggers when I read but this book is very violent. Extremely violent I would say. I may have got a little nauseous reading it. She is very descriptive in her details. The plot is very intense and a bit complicated. It has so much going on in it and I had to take my time reading it because I didn’t want to overwhelm myself with all the storylines going on. But it has lots of paranormals in it. Witches, werewolves and vampires to name a few. I like when a book focuses on more than one species. Like paranormal diversity. J I am def going to read the next one because I liked it.

The Dark of Twilight by Kate Danley (box set exclusive)

Synopsis: Ever since she was a child working in his kitchen, Aein always longed to join Lord Arnkell’s army. When that day comes and she is sent on patrol with fellow warrior, Lars, it seems her dream has come true. But something has followed her home. When Arnkell’s wedding is interrupted by a werewolf attack, the dream shifts into a nightmare… Book One in the brand-new epic fantasy series Twilight Shifters.

4 Stars

This book took a bit for me to get into. It had a steady pace and I got a little impatient reading it honestly. The story is very original though and that’s what kept me from giving up. It had political intrigue and action along with a bit of romance. All great things for a well-rounded book in my opinion. I want to say I will read more of this series but I have so many that I may have to put this one aside for a but and come back to it later.

Heartsong by Kate Danley (box set exclusive)

Synopsis: By night, as a Gabriel Hound, the fae Brinn runs with The Wild Hunt.

3.5 Stars

This book wasn’t bad but it didn’t hold my attention for very long at a time. The story was good but it moved a bit slow for me. The details were many and sometimes over abundant for my tastes. I liked how they were able to share so much of themselves with each other without letting jealousy or vanity get in the way. And there personalities were more serious than I usually read so that may have made me loose interest as well. I don’t think I will be reading the next one in this series.

SM Reine "Of Wings and Wolves" 4/5

I liked this story a lot. Anyways, I did have a few issues/questions/comments:

1. "Abram hadn't thought to hydrate himself when he bought a tofu dog"; that was when Summer was getting a wet paper towel to clean the mustard off Abram's shirt. Why would that have mattered/what would have made Summer even think about that fact? Just thought it was a weird statement.

2. "Was I suckled?" This was when Summer was little and talking to her Gran. Again another weird comment. What child would actually ask something like that?

3. Summer seemed like a pretty.....dumb girl, although I can say the same thing about her brother. First there's when she sneaks onto Nash's property to spy on him and he sees her in wolf form and urges his guards to "get the wolf", and again when she's standing in the bushes in a cloak. How was she stupid enough to not realize Nash knew who/what she was?

4. How did Abram fall so easily into Leliel's hands? Because she was just so pretty? Also two of his comments made no sense considering he was helping Leliel and believed her. "You're an angel. You hate humans", that was directed Nash and again, Abram is working with one... "But you said that Nash sent them (the child creatures and giant thing) to kill us..." Yet, everytime the creatures were attacking Abram and Summer, Nash was there helping. Um....hello?!

That's all for this one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dannika Dark "Seven Years" 5/5

I loved this story! It definitely kept my attention to the very end. 5/5 Questions/Comments:

1. When Austin first shows up at the Dairy Queen, which they never explain as to why he went there, he's all in black, looking cool and sexy, and.......wearing oxfords? Are those sassy kinda shoes? I would have imagined him in boots or something. But jeans and oxfords? Really?

2. Why is it that whenever a male character who was a past family friend/friend shows up, the female character lets the reader know she had a thing for him, but is always all eager to pass him off to some friend of hers? Yet, you always know she'll end up with him in the end. I don't get it.

3. When Lexie knows that her ex has been acting kinda crazy, why in the world does she answer the door AND let him in when she's standing there in a t-shirt and underwear?

4. If when Austin was a kid he was always going over to Wes/Lexie's house, how did known of her family know he had so many brothers?

5. Lexie comes back and confronts Denver regarding her sister holding of a wire...this is after she watches her sister use the wire to blow bubbles with. What was the big deal?

6. So after Lexie's ex strangles her and Austin changes into his wolf form and stays that way for several days....one minute he's' laying at Lexie's feet, he walks out of the room, and a few later he's walking back in human form, why did no one comment? It was all non chalant like nothing have been going on with him.

7. Lexie was too embarrassed to let Austin perform oral on her, yet, had no problem with him sitting there watching her while she masturbated? Seriously?

8. "If you ever taste her lobster, you'll probably want to make babies with her", Lexie talking to Austin about Naya's cooking. Just thought that was a weird thing to say.

9. Best line: "It's when they're ovulating and their body wants someone to give them babies." Lexie's sister. That was hilarious!

10. Throughout the story the author uses Lexie's point of view. Yet, towards the end when the Mage is trying to find his diamonds, the author either switches to him or something because the reader is then informed that, "the Mage kept reaching for slices of sunlight filtering through the tangled branches that would allow him to heal."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marie Hall "hood's Obsession" 5/5

Another great one here, I seem to be on a roll with one catchy story after another.

Questions/Comments:

1. I do have to wonder why the author chose to have the main character be the daughter of the Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood? It would have been perfectly fine with her father being an alpha and her mother some other kind of powerful paranormal creature. Same thing with the prine, Rumpelstiltskin.

2. When Giles has the splinter, even if there wasn't much light to see it, a 4 incher would have been pretty obvious to feel for. Especially if Lilith was able to pull it out with her teeth!

3. When the three bad ladies, Rayale, Ying, and Karis caught Lilith and took her necklace, when/how did she get it back. It goes from Rayale holding, to Lilith getting ready to go for it, to Giles showing up, and suddenly Lilith has the necklace.

4. What kind of extra senses does Gile's have? I ask because at one point Lilith asks him if anyone is following them around. "...so though I can shift, in human form I'm not as...capable." Yet, throughout the rest of the story, both prior and after this situation she's the one to mention is someone is around. It didn't seem whether in wolf or human form, her sense of hearing was still really good.

5. If her parents knew she wasn't planning on returning back home, why would her father and brothers not have said goodbye or anything to her prior to her leaving? Of course right after she leaves, she mentions how they didn't come because they had confidence in her returning back home. So that doesn't make any sense.

6. If Lilith's brothers were all alphas and she herself was an alpha, why wouldn't she get special treatment as well, considering they're all half breeds?

7. Lilith is getting ready to wash up in the water. As she's undressing Giles is basically starring at the area between her thighs...."His mouth watered." What exactly was he seeing? She wasn't bent over or anything...were her 'lips' hanging down low or something? Seriously? He shouldn't have been able to really see anything from behind with her standing up straight.

8. While she's in the water, how were dwarves able to take her down? Aren't they short? How high was the water?

9. Lastly, why does Lilith refer to Giles as 'knight' even up to the end of the story after they've mated? And he's suddenly calling her 'Lili?'
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Melissa F. Olson "Blood Sick" 2.5/5

This story didn't really call to me. I managed to read it in one sitting but IDK, it wasn't anywhere near as good as the previous stories. Funny I have fewer questions with this story, yet, it was the worst one so far.

Questions/Comments:

1. If it was against the rules for a werewolf to bite someone aka changing them into a werewolf, unless it was for a mate, how did Astrid's biter get away with it?

2. Astrid decides to hide Luke's body and suitcase....in woods that the werewolves frequent...yet, hopes it will never be found? How much sense does that make?

3. I didn't really understand why Sashi was so mad at her mother after Will's transformation? I mean having a werewolf bite him was an option she had considered. Did didn't want him to die, so it was basically it a werewolf or if she knew of a vampire...no sense there.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kate Danley "The Dark of Twilight 3/5

This story didn't really do anything for. I read it and that was that.

Questions/Comments:

1. Aein and Lars are making their way to the meeting place, Aein, "fell gratefully to the ground (still in her armor)....enjoying the sensation of the sun on her face"...how would she have felt better considering she was still in her armor and had been sweating the whole day?

2. BEFORE they get back on their horses to continue their journey to the swamps, Aeim remembers the mushrooms she's suppose to look for. "Wait! We have to stop for just a moment!" Again this was BEFORE they even got back on the horses. They hadn't left yet.

3. Now I don't really know much about horses, but how could a horse turn feral after about a month of not riding it? Lars was still brushing it and whatnot....that just doesn't sound right to me.

4. After the werewolves attack the castle and it seems like not many people are left, those around are locked up in the dungeon, and Aein is heading back to get more berries. YET, somehow some of the werewolves/people end up way ahead of her. "There was a raiding party....They came to the castle and....they persuaded everyone in human form to put on these silver collars"...Even better, how were these people so stupid to not realize that their own Lord was the one responsible for this curse? He had the collars all ready to go.

5. I noticed that this story had many errors throughout it, usually leaving a word out.

6. What was so different about the princess? She's given HALF a berry and goes back and forth between human and werewolve. Apparently eating "the excess of mushrooms caused you to be able to shift no matter what the time of day..." Yes, only her!?!?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phoenix Sullivan "Heartsong" 1/5

This story didn't really do it for me either. It's like the editor or whoever that put the book together put all the really good ones at the beginning and left the less than stellar ones for the back. This was the worst one! It was boring and I felt like nothing was really going on, it just dragged, and I ended up skimming most of it. When I got to the part with the 3 main characters 'going at it', yeah...not a fan. Sorry but as much as I love a good sex scene, having siblings doing sexual stuff together? No thanks. I'm good.

Questions/Comments:

1. Alain thinks- "Nothing about the hound moved to betray SHE felt Pel' touch"...yet, 2 seconds later, he is commenting on the fact that Pel refers to the wolf/hound as a 'she'. What was so surprising about that?

2. When the monks get to the campsite to take care of the bodies, Pel has to tell them what happened. Would it seriously take hours to tell the story? I mean there's a bunch of dead bodies and a wolf. People+wolf=dead people? Just saying.

3. When Pel starts having an emotional breakdown or whatever after touching Brinn, Alain has him mount. Why didn't they bother putting their clothes back on....like sooner? They're all just sitting around naked...getting aroused....looking at Brinn and her sassiness. lol

SM Reine - OF WINGS AND WOLVES 3 stars
Great concept but after finding out was is really going on, the story becomes too dull and the ending was a bit disappointing, not much happening.

Dannika Dark - SEVEN YEARS 3 stars
I am quite torn here. I loved the story and the universe. I totally love Lexi, she is so fun, headstrong and stubborn. But my problem is Austin. He shows up after 7 years which should make him 30 something years old and alpha of his pack. But he runs hot and cold, acting sometimes alpha male sometime blushing teenager. And you never know what are his real feeling for Lexi, to which ends he is gonna go for her. Sometimes she s his best friend sister and sometimes you think he is finally going to man up and make a move. But he never does which is just SO frustrating. I wish he was just more!! Then everything would be just perfect.

Marie Hall - HOOD'S OBSESSION. 4 stars
Love this world, the way the fairy tales were twisted and made real. Lilith and Giles were just great. It totally made me want to read more of the Kingdom serie!!

Melissa F. Olson - BLOODSICK (Exclusive!). 1 star
Really didn't enjoy this book. No lovable character, art from Will and his fight against cancer. No real connexion with the rest, witches or werewolves.

Kate Danley - THE DARK OF TWILIGHT 2.5 stars
Interesting story, if a bit weird. I mean, mushroom changing people into rabid wolves and berries curing them? That s one theory I never Came across. Missing a bit in the romance department, this a still a nice read.

I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW AS I READ THE OTHER STORIES WITHIN!!

Its like... whoa!! twists and turns and keeps you guessing and then you think you know and BAM another twist and such a strong powerful love!! OMG!
Having read books 1-4 of the Mageri series, there was already a strong set of pre-determined expectations of what was to come from a Dannika Dark Novel! BOY OH BOY!! It was all that and more!! Lexi(Alexis) is a young girl(Just under 30) who lost her older brother Seven Years ago (hint hint on the name of the book..? lol dur..) When Austin Cole(Late Brother's BEST friend) waltzes back into town after being absent for the past seven years, Lexi's old memories come crashing down on her emotions. Lexi had a crush on Austin back in the day... and I mean... really? What younger sister DIDN'T have a crush on their big brother's best friend when they were growing up?!?! lol

Anywho... Lexi learns a LOT more than she ever thought possible including secrets about herself she never saw coming!!

I love how Dannika trickles you down a little info at a time throughout the story. She only gives you EXACTLY as much information as you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE to understand the scene in place. The twists and turns and downright shocking moments throughout this book will have you HOOKED from page ONE! I cannot wait to get to read Book Two in this series "Six Months".

I give this Book 5 out of 5 shields!!

This is a great marketing strategy. 6 books of the same sub-genre, all first books of series. Even if the reader only likes one of the 6 and they buy the rest of the series, it pays for the low cost of the bundle. Of course if a reader loves all 6 and the reader buys all the books for all 6 series, the publisher really maximizes their return.

Unfortunately, none caught my attention to want to read the rest of the series.

Awesome compilation of books

Notice I said BOOKS, not stories? Yup, full length books, all very good reads: excellent stories, plots, characters, worlds, etc. only downside I noticed is the last one ran a bit slow for me, and most of them need a good editor--missing and wrong words, mostly, but a few weird sentence fragments and run-ins, too. I'll probably raise it to 5 stars if they release a better edited version...

I got this set for the Olson story, which was not as good as her full length books. I tend to be an urban fantasy fan, rather than PNR, so I don't think the stories were designed for me. However, "The Dark of Twilight" by Danley was very good - if there are indeed sequels, I'll probably give them a try.

**I received a free copy of this set in exchange for an honest review**

It Could Have Been Better

Of all the stories in this bundle I only liked the first three. The remaining stories were interesting but they tended to drag. The first three stories grabbed my attention from beginning to end. That's the way a story should be, if the other stories were like this in would have given it a higher rating.

This six book set featured a couple of my favorite authors, and a couple unknown to me. For the most part I enjoyed the books rating 2 stories a 5, two stories 4, and the remaing as 3… therefore I rate on the average with a 4-star review. Good value for the price.
