fun, sexy little story! timing maybe a little rushed, eg. it would take longer than one night to get over or ignore the lifetime of morals & ideals you'd been taught. but that's my only issue with this one, quite enjoyed it, would've even been happy to read a longer novel :)

Every once in a great while, I like reading shorter books. Not only does it help me to reach my Goodreads goal, but it's also a perfect solution for when I finish a book and don't want to jump into another one right away. I was scrolling through my Kindle the other day, wanting something short to read, and saw Bound to Submit. I had been wanting to get back into reading erotica again, so I thought it sounded like the perfect book to read. Unfortunately, I hated it. I ended up dnf'ing it at fifty-seven percent.

I felt bad for dnf'ing such a short book, but I just couldn't take it anymore. The plot was boring. There was absolutely nothing happening. I didn't think a fiction book about learning BDSM in public could be boring, but the author proved me wrong. I found myself skimming through just to get to the sex scenes, which I had hoped would improve the book. I was wrong. You would think that it would have very descriptive, exciting, sex scenes being an erotica short story. However, it didn't. I think I've read more descriptive, detailed sex scenes in young adult and new adult books. Finally, I just couldn't force myself to read any more of the story.

Bound to Submit was such a huge disappointment. It got to the point where I couldn't even finish it, which I hate doing with smaller books. Nothing exciting happened in the book. I don't think I will be picking up any of the author's other books either, which is unfortunate because she's written a lot of them. I just didn't like the boring, bland writing style at all.

I had mixed feelings about this book. It started out in such an interesting way. Seriously! To be tied up to a bed with your ex in the room for an indeterminate amount of time. That was creative, for want of a better word.

The chemistry and intensity alone between this pair scorched my e-reader. But even with all of that, I can honestly say that this couple was kind of annoying. The up and down and back and forth was brutal. I wanted to hit them both over the head with a dose of oh-grow-up. They did not seem strong at all...more like co- dependent and wishy washy.

This story definitely had some crazy-insane parts, but it lacked maturity, heart (versus insta-love), and authenticity.

Despite what I have shared, I will say that this book has the potential to be something more. There is certainly something there to work with. It, in my opinion, needs more substance instead of heat. There needs to be more conviction. It needs more convincing commitment from the characters versus experimental acts and dirty language.

Agreeing to help with a community Halloween haunted house, Kelly didn’t realize she’d be assigned to play the part of the damsel in distress, tied to a bed and terrorized by a masked madman, who was played by her ex-lover Mason. Quite the kinky little haunted house there!
Kelly still has feelings for Mason but cannot get past the idea that Mason wanted BDSM to play a role in their relationship. Growing up to be taught that sex shouldn’t be fun, Kelly associates BDSM with being wicked and dirty…and not in a good way. But the predicament in which she finds herself at the haunted house gives her an opportunity to experiment with the boundaries Mason would like in a relationship, and in between waves of visitors to their room of terror, Kelly and Mason explore what it means to submit and the depth of their feelings for one another.
I really liked Mason. As a Dominant, he was patient, kind and willing to move as slowly as he needed to get the woman he loves comfortable with both of their wants and needs. My feelings for Kelly were not as affectionate. She was quick to fly off the handle and frankly, a little cruel when it came to blaming Mason for pushing her into a situation where she was just as much a party as he was. She blew hot and cold, one minute willing to give in to what they both felt was right, and the next drawing back and claiming it was wrong. But all this did was make me feel more for Mason, never giving up and slowly guiding Kelly towards a relationship that made them both comfortable.
Bound to Submit was a quick and incredibly hot and sweet little read. I enjoyed the way it explored the struggles that the heroine faced while trying to overcome an upbringing that had been ingrained in her, while also trying to hold on to the man she loved. It showed a Dom in a more sensitive and caring light, and portrayed their relationship as loving and more than just sex. Although for taking place in one night, there was quite a lot of sex packed into this little gem. Not that I’m complaining…

Ok so reading the blurb and prologue I was so excited for this book. I wish I would have looked at the page length (only 78 pages) before hand. This story was perfect for this time of year. A broken up couple, trapped together as characters in a bedroom scene in a haunted house. So, I pulled up my chair with some hit chocolate (hot cider isn’t my fave) and dug in. I was disappointed. The story plot and line and characters would have been perfect if the story had more to it. It was somewhat rushed there was no before story to work you up to the characters emotions. There were sentences leading to where you needed to go but without the depth you missed it. Mason is the guy that would be THE GUY from a book if we could have had more of him. He’s strong dominant but vulnerable. Kelly is fighting what she wants versus what she thinks is morally right, but you don’t feel it. She comes across as whiny and whip lashed because of the rushed story. This book lacked all the emotion and background to give me what I was looking for. I wil say though some of the sexy scenes were definitely up to par. But all in all this book lacked more of almost everything but the sex scenes.

Mason and Kelly meet in his athletic store and he knew that she was the woman for him. They were both athletic, loved being outdoors and had a chemistry neither one of them could deny. Until Mason decides to open up with Kelly and give her a taste of some of his real desires. Creating trouble in paradise that Kelly does not want any part of...or does she?

Kelly is a physical education teacher at the local school. She came from a very strict religious family that had clear cut ideas on what sex and a relationship between a man and woman should be. So when Mason shows Kelly exactly what kind of spice he wants to add to the relationship she gets out of there quick fast and in a hurry.

The story starts with Kelly recently having broken up with Mason and decides to volunteer for a haunted house. Although she knows Mason may be there she figures she can hide out from him and he will never know she was there. So no one was more surprised then her when not only does she have to play a damsel in distress.. but that Mason is the masked whip wielding villain that keeps her bound for the night and afraid she will submit in ways she never could imagine.

This book was a very good read. I thought that Mason was HOT, HOT, HOT! He was dominate in every way a man could be but gentle at the same time. He really put himself out there in a way that gave Kelly more control, then anyone who thinks of the stereotypical dom to sub relationship, would imagine. Now I completely understood Kelly having second thoughts about things due to the way she was raised but at certain points of this book I just wanted her to suck it up and make a decision. Now don't get me wrong I didn't want her to just say and do whatever Mason wanted either. I like that she stuck to her guns, but I could not help but feel for Mason. So to the juicy part....this couple burned up the sheets and showed what submitting was really about. Great job Natasha Moore

Mason and Kelly were dating and it was beginning to get serious between them. Mason began to share some of his fantasies with her one night and she ran from him breaking it off. These fantasties were about tying her up in bed and her submitting to him. She wasn't afraid of him, but how she shouldn't be wanting these things as well. She grew up with her parents more than cautioning her about sex, so when she began to want more than vanilla sex she felt guilty for it.

Weeks later her friend asks her to help out at a haunted house. She thought she would be taking tickets, but ended up as part of a room that was a bordello theme being tied to a bed and whipped by a masked man. That man was Mason. She was tied up, but he didn't use the whip. Instead they talked about their breakup and having a Dominant/submissive relationship. They also took advantage of her being tied up as Mason showed her just part of what that all meant and what they could have together. Kelly would have to turn off those negative voices in her head and instead follow her heart to the man who was in love with her.

I loved Mason and Kelly's story. I liked that the author didn't end it in the room, but brought there relationship and what it could be into their real lives. Mason was one hot bossy-man who was so patient and understanding as Kelly worked through all her parents had programmed her to believe to get to what she really wanted. I wish their story was longer as I wanted more of it.

I give Bound to Submit 4 hearts!

Bound to Submit is the first book I have read by Natasha Moore, I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review so here goes...

This is a super short, slightly kinky story about Kelly and Mason.

To be completely honest I’m not at all convinced about this book, it’s supposed to be about Kelly learning to embrace her inner sub but for me it just didn’t really work.

Mason has his moments of playing Dom but for the most part I just didn’t find him particularly convincing.

I kind of disliked Kelly she was a bit like a broken record, “this is wrong” “I shouldn’t want this”

I didn't feel any real connection or chemistry between Kelly and Mason. This story started out well the haunted house victim idea was genius but it just went downhill from there.

I just didn’t feel that Mason was particularly dominant, yes he talked the talk but there was nothing intense or alpha about him.

This book had shed loads of potential and I expected Mason to really take Kelly into the sub mindset but I kind of felt that even though Mason was telling her what to do Kelly was the one orchestrating it all.

Sorry but this book just didn’t do it for me 2.5 stars

There were so many problems with this story for me.

First off, the whole idea of the story is a bit far fetched. Who in their right mind would have a girl strapped to a bed in a charity haunted house? And who would agree to be strapped to said bed with their ex, when the mere thought was against values that made the relationship break up to begin with?

Second, I just couldn't connect with the heroine because she seemed so wishy washy. She liked it and wanted it, but she thought that she shouldn't. While something like this topic/conflict might be able to work in a longer story, it played out terribly in this novella. The length of with story and how quickly the heroine changed her mind drove me crazy.

Third, it took about half the book to even get into any of the steamy scenes, and by that point I was already over the heroine and her personal issues with "kinky sex". I choose to read kinky novellas for the quick and dirty erotic scenes, unfortunately this book failed that on so many levels.

Mason enjoys having Kelly around. They had been in a relationship till Kelly said she couldn't have the kind of relationship that Mason knew they both wanted and needed. He likes control in the bedroom and she has been told since she was little that it is a huge sin. Kink that is. Kelly is very wishy washy for my tastes. She really is trying to understand Mason and his needs. The plot seemed good, but the follow through was off for me. You know she is mean to Mason then she cries then she looks for him then she is sorry and then she is a little bratty. I just could not get on board with it and into the story. She is a confused character. I know being in the readers world anything can happen, I just think the transitions and the spacing out of events just did not work for me. Maybe, someone else will enjoy this more than I did. Maybe that someone is you! Happy reading!

This was a quick, hot read. Definitely something that you can read in a few hours.
Sexy dominating man…yup, this book has one. A woman who fights her sexual needs and desires because of the stereotypes, drilled into her since childhood. Yes, definitely has one of those too. Kelly broke up with Mason weeks ago and she gets roped into helping out at the community haunted house. She never dreams of being tied to a bed all evening, playing the damsel in distress. Who is the man behind the mask? It’s Mason, he’s holding a whip and he has more on his mind than just scaring some kids at the haunted house. He knows she can’t run and he plans to prove to her that he is the man she needs.

I liked this book because it didn't go into the hardcore bondage but it did really talk about the fears that society has about it. If it is done in a safe and sane manner have fun with you partner what this book also said to me.

Happy reading!

Mason has scared Kelly with his sexual needs so now he has to find a way to win her back. When the two of them are thrown together into a Haunted House scene on Halloween Night he figures that he will take the scene, which is set in a bedroom, and make sure her needs are met in between party quests.

Too far fetched for me. I could not seem to really get into this book and the scene that was set by the author. I could also not seem to attach to the characters. They were written too inexperienced and scared to really enjoy any of the sex scenes that were written.

Thanks netgalley for a free book to read and review. First of all the plot was a cute idea, but the relationship between Mason and Kelly just didn't fit. I enjoyed the Halloween scene but her failure to commit, and his only wanting to be dominant during sex just didn't sit well with me. I still think all he had to do was introduce her slowly to it. I'm not believing that if she was brought up that way then she would change her mind that quick. Still I enjoyed the book, and gave it three stars.

I received this book for an honest review and loved it. A prologue would have provided context for the night that was the focus of the story, but the author did a good job of cluing the reader in over the course of the book. Definitely an acquired taste, if you will, 50 Shades lovers will love this book just as much!

This was a really cute and sexy story. It's perfect for this time of year.

The author does a great job showing Kelly's struggle with her sexuality. Mason is a caring and sweet Dom who obviously loves Kelly. He's willing to take his time letting her set the limits. That doesn't mean he lets her get away with everything though.
Super cute!

This was a hot, sexy read. Not a lot of plot depth, but I understand it is an ongoing story. The story was erotic and centered on sexy Mason the Dom, and Kelly the sub, brought up to think sex was naughty, but her inner desire was to be naughty with Mason. I liked them together, love a happy ending!
