As I was reading in Saint James / I saw two men with addled brains / Behold them, bold as Amadeus / Their names are Jack Foley and Ivan Arguelles whose epistolary artifices 3/98 - 4/98 these are. An e-mail collaboration related to the concept, name, place and/or inspiration of St. James, these poems, translations, notes and essays make for a lively, appealing book. Each collaborator's part is ascribed, so the reader has a sense of who is guilty of what. Aguelles: ...has anyone at all / been listening? // lightning flashes / the peacock dances // Foley: ah, the peacock, yes ... I remember ...
