Isolation of Winter: Lilac Cursebreaker Series

Rate this book
It had been 379 days since the devastation of Cora and Jim’s wedding, and the Winter Court waited not so patiently for the Cursebreaker to make her appearance. With the knowledge that there are whispers of Lilac’s inability to control her wrath magic and questions about her qualifications as the prophesied one, she has set out on this adventure into the frozen wastes of the north.

Before Cora can immerse herself in the beauty of the isolated court, they are attacked, and she must navigate a new normal, without Jim. The raging anger keeps her solely focused on finding her husband because if she doesn’t, she will burn the entire Winter Court and slaughter anyone who stands in her way.

Needing the blessing of the long-lost sacred creature of the Winter Court, she must use every weapon at her disposal to break the curse of isolation off the fortress and open their hearts and eyes to the joy of connection. Scary new creatures are making their way out of the woodwork, and Cora is infatuated with each one who comes into her life. Her wonder draws everything toward her, for better or worse.

With her new normal comes a new threat that gives life to the saying “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Can Cora learn to work with someone who grates against her core beliefs, free the court, find Jim, and defend her friends from the poison of the Usurper and Tyrant

This was a joy to read! I love Cora's character in the first book and this second book its no different. In this book we get to see her conitue her journey from the Autumn court to the Winter court.Along her journey we get to see the bad*** side of her as she has to experience her worst nightmare! While she has to deal with a great lost she has to deal with setting the winter court free and find away to defeat other enemies along the way. She has to find out who she is on her own.But she does she have a tendency of picking up strays along the way and these characters she meets have a hard time telling her no. I want more Dahlia and Jericho . I cant wait for book 3 !
