Sharp Investigations #9

Jumping Judiciary Corruption

Rate this book
Death hits close to home and Cyn's family is growing.

Trigger, former owner of the veteran's shooting range Shots Fired, was found dead in a hotel room while serving on a sequestered jury. Cause of death appears to be accidental, but Cynthia "Cyn" Sharp's newest addition disagrees. He may be older and limping, but Ruger knows his dad wasn't alone and his ears cannot be fooled.

With two dogs and two jobs, Cyn's hands are a little full but that won't stop her from looking into 12 jurors, 2 alternates, a suspected corrupt public official and the entire criminal justice system. From blackmail to blacklisted celebrities, every thread unravels into more suspects but one of them is holding the end of the rope... in a noose sized for Cyn.

Fo llowing along with the alphabet, Jumping is Book 10 in the Cyn Sharp Investigation Series, and ten is always a good place to start or end, depending on where you’re standing. Cyn literally and figuratively blows up her life ( not like knocking over a giant cheese wheel or blowing up a munitions depot) I’ve read other series by other authors and at this point their writing gets stale, or their literary devices get repetitive. E.N Crane keeps the series going by blowing up more than just the status quo and the patriarchy ( maybe in her dreams)

Her parents are moving overseas, her brother and his wife are leaving the state, and that’s just in the first few chapters. And all without having a gun to shoot back! IYKYK

I’m not a writer.. that’s her job, and the job of all you authors. My job is to read, and I really, really like reading her books, so I guess she’s done her job.

Make sure you’re caught up with the series to understand the cemetery and reading of the will
