"Time and Time Again" makes the ambitious jump into several timelines as we observe three eras - the dawn of man, the 30th century, and the current day status of Earth-One. Flash disintegrates in a most horrifying manner before Batman while the Monitor and Pariah wage their war using their crafted teams of individuals across the multiverse. It's lofty storytelling that can sometimes get a bit too ahead of itself, but George Perez is undeniably up for the challenge of drawing a ton of stuff on each page in a way that is still easy enough to follow.

The Monitor and Pariah wage their battle of matter and anti-matter as heroes and villains from different planets and worlds across the DC Universe blindly follow the monitor's instructions. Highlights include an incorrigible Psycho-Pirate and the Flash's iconic disintegrating message to a bewildered Batman. The Crisis builds!!!

Hot damn, that's a lot of characters! Things are getting wild now. The images of the flash were especially haunting in this one.

That flicker of the Flash's fate was chilling, and it was nice seeing Golden Age Superman.

Yeah this just wasn’t it for me ig. Dialogue was mediocre and I felt no real threat except when the Anti Monitor talked. Harbinger and Pariah’s plots carried this issue.

The Monitor sends a number of heroes and villains to various times and places to protect his mysterious machines. We get a sense of where the story is going and how uncertain the future is.
