I am the author of the Taming Blake trilogy, the Girl After Dark series, Claiming Chase, Dance with the Billionaire and the brand new sequel, Let's Dance Again.
I was born to English parents and grew up between England and New York. I returned to England to study, and have settled in London, where I love the history, the culture and the tea. Maybe not the rain though. I still make sure to visit New York as often as I can, to shop until I drop!

I normally don't read anything that requires me to read in parts because it's usually unsatisfying. I chose to read this book initially because it seemed to be pretty lengthy. It did go by quickly but it is satisfying if you like the romance stories when the mousy girl and millionaire get together. While I find myself waiting on it to happen, I'm very glad it didn't turn into a novel about BDSM, not to say that the rest of the series won't turn out that way. Overall a decent book worth spending my time reading.
I gave this book a five rating because it was a very good read it had me turning the pages anticipating what was going to happen next. I can't wait to read the second book.
Jessica Clark is a 22 year old assistant at an interior design company, who spends her day getting coffee and running errands for her boss. On the day we meet Jessica she's on her way to a meeting with her boss to meet Blake Matthews a wealthy hotelier, who's looking to have his apartment decorated. In a moment of bravado Jessica speaks out and draws Blake's attention.
A few days later Blake offers Jessica the job, but on her own, not the company she works for. On a whim she takes up his offer and her transformation begins from socially awkward young woman to a more confident one. Attending parties and going to dinners etc with Blake.
I enjoyed this book, but the heroine and her insecurities irritated me, come on girl if you're going fake it then fake it well, and her lies OMG she could have just told her boyfriend everything and not kept the fact she was working for Blake a secret... but anyway other than my own personal irritations the story is quite a decent one.
So we have a series of three books here. This being the first one. Kind of story we have already read many times before. Billionaire meets girl. Hired girl to work for him and already had more than the job on his mind, but the same goes for the girl. Main characters are Jessica Clark and Blake Matthews. She is starting out as a designer and Blake owns some hotels that could use some remodeling. The writing is good and I enjoyed reading this. Once the writing works even a tried theme such as a billionaire in an erotic romance will still be entertaining unless the reader is burnt out on the genre. So not quite at that point I was interested and I am interested in the series. Quick easy read.
Honestly, I wasn't impressed. The sex scenes were hot, but jeez, everything else really messed it up. I felt that if the Fifty shades and Crossfire series by Sylvia Day would have had a baby, the taming blake series would have been the ugly child. It was poorly written, and honestly, it was just boring. The only reason why I finished it was because, well, I always finish any book I read. The immaturity in of the main characters really turned you off. The story was promising but it fell through. Would not recommend these series.
What I had an unexpected story plot. I am so glad it is not the exact same degree. It is nice to have an extra twist and turn to the story. But still what a hot couple Blake and Jessica make. But I wonder what will happen next something seems different about Blake or off. I wonder how Chesaco won't respond? And will Blake be willing to come to her and change his ways
Loved the concept of the story. Was glad to see Jessica coming out of her shell, finally. Blake is yummy and I also think he's going to be a very complicated man with a devastating secret that Jessica will have issues with. On my way for the next book, can't wait to read what's going to happen ~ Lovin' it!
Had I not found this for free in exchange for a review I wouldn't have read it. Reason being, it's TOO SHORT!!! This is phenotype of book that is good, BUT has been sit into 2 or 3 short books. I don't like this cause I feel it is just a ploy to get more money for less product.
Really enjoyed this book it is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be the last. I look forward to that next book in this series as well as other books by her
