The description makes this sound monogamous but this is a ménage story. There is voyeurism/exhibitionism, f/f, m/m, threesome, and some quad relationship that just didn't work for me. Also attempted rape and a dubious consent scene. If you liked book one, you may appreciate this more than me.

The science fiction was inventive and was a nice addition to the Lodestar series. I was just surprised by the multiple partners. This ended as a happy for now.

I read this a year ago and forgot to star it. Luckily it was pretty memorable and a fun read! Tal is a bad boy man-ho and scala soon finds herself in over her head. There's good adventure, intrigue and fun characters. But then I've enjoyed all the books I've read by this author. Not true sci-fi, but more like space romances, she has a knack for keeping the pace going and the characters interesting. Insta lust but the love took some sweet entertaining time.

An Underrated Author

Tal Darkrunner is scary, but he's finally met his match in Scala. Together, they're amazing and their story is fast-paced and sexy.

CJ Cade is a fantastic storyteller and the series is wonderful. I absolutely recommend both!

First read in the SCI FI NIGHTS anthology.
I strongly suggest reading the previous books first to truly get a good entertaining, understanding of this book.
Loved having Tal Darkrunners story told. Absolutely fabulous that Scala from book one turns out to be his HEA.
Well done Ms. Cade.
