Oh my can you feel the heat? Well you definitely will when you get this outstanding ebook. It's so hot and boy is electricity in the air. I just loved it. Ally and her daughtare are taking her grandmother to Everlove Haven. As she's leaving the facility, her daughter spies a kitty in a tree. Ally climbs the tree and just as she gets closer to the kitty she falls. Ally never hits the ground but falls into the arms of the most handsome firefighter she's ever seen. She's totally mesmerized and can't talk. Shane just happens to be there when a beautiful angel is falling from a tree and catches her. He feels like he has been struck with an electric charge. You can just feel the electricity between them and the heat is so fiery. Will Shane and Ally both come to the realization that the universe has it's own plans from their own? Can Ally trust that her feelings for Shane are real and not just wishful thinking and can she trust Shane not to break her's and her daughter's hearts? Does Shane let Ally know that she and her daughter had his heart the moment she fell in his arms and does he show her that he's always going to be there for her? I enjoyed this book and thought the sexytime scenes were absolutely beautiful. I would reread it for those alone. The characters were well written, and I adored little Evie with her glitter frosting (although I don’t like glitter very strongly because it gets in unmentionable places and you find it in the crack of your couch cushions for months).
There were, however, some issues. The one that bothered me most was Ally leaving four yo Evie alone in a hotel to go have a burger with Sarah. Seriously?
But overall I liked it.

It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, opposites-attract, age-gap, curvy single mom gets her firefighter romance. Ally is a 22-year-old sweet and curvy single mom to the adorable 4-year-old Evie. Shane is a hunky firefighter in his mid-30s. When he meets Ally for the first time, she literally falls into his arms and he knows that he never wants to let her go. But he sees Evie and doesn't know if she has a husband or boyfriend. They cross paths again when he sees her newly opened bakery. Will he get his chance at love? Shane was such a hottie and so sweet to his girls. The chemistry was hot and the ending was so happy. I loved it.

DNF at >45%. I just couldn’t. I’ve read a handful of Marina books across a couple different series but this one missed for me. Too formulaic. Too instalove. Not to mention The way a child is written can make or break a book for me and In this one … well maybe it wasn’t how her daughter was written, but how the adults were written around her, about her. How many times do we need to mention that she’s sticky and covered in glitter. *eye roll*

The fact that it’s instalove isn’t the issue, it was the characters- I read the one prior about Maddox and Hailey; Maddox works at the same firehouse; but their book was sweet and felt like they connected on more than whimsy and force and the idea of each other.

In this novella, we follow Ally as she helps her grandmother move to Everlove Haven. Given the opportunity of opening up her own bakery like she always dreamed of, and after meeting a dashing firefighter; Ally also moves to Everlove Haven with her daughter, Evie.

This was a really enjoyable read for me. I thought all of the characters were brilliant, and I loved their witty lines and comebacks. Reading this book really did feel like I was reading a Hallmark film - albeit with steamier love scenes. This novella really gave off that feel-good vibe, and I loved that about it.

Ally is a single mother who is taking her grandmother who raised her to Everlove Haven. Her grandmother is excited to be going, but not, as she took her in when she got pregnant and helped her raise her daughter for the last four years.
A wonderful story with a grandma, a kitty, a precious four-year-old and a firefighter who happens to be where he needs to be at the right time!

Ally and her daughter came to Swoon peaks to drop her grandma off. Trying to get a kitten stuck in a tree, her life suddenly is a whirl wind of changes. When Shane caught Ally during her cat rescue he started to fall. Their instant connection begins to develop more when Shane saves her again. Shane and Ally’s story is absolutely adorable. Wonderful characters lots of love and a happily ever after, what a cute book that just keeps a smile on your face.

This story is incredibly sweet and steamy, sending you into a state of sweetness overload! Ally is helping her grandma settle into a retirement home when she meets Shane. Actually, she falls out of a tree, and he catches her. From that moment on, they are destined to be together. I love the plot and the way Shane and Ally come together. It's a fantastic short book with a perfect happily-ever-after (HEA) ending.

Shane meets Ally when she falls from a tree and into his arms. She was trying to rescue a cat but ends up being rescued herself. Sparks fly between them from the moment they meet. Ally is a single mom and is trying to do her best raising her on her own. Shane is taken by Ally as well as her daughter. Will he claim them as his own?

This is a great story that will hook you from the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

A great Swoon Peaks romance. Shane is a firefighter who is visiting Everlove Haven when he catches Ally as she falls from a tree trying to rescue a kitten. Ally has just dropped her Nana off and her daughter Evie tells her about the cat. With the help of Sarah she sets up her dream bakery in town and Shane is there to rescue her again. Their HEA is entertaining and a must-read.

Ally didn't plan on staying when she took her grandmother to Everlove, but when she's handed a building for her bakery, how could she leave.

A fast paced, insta-love, hot and steamy read. Plot could be developed more and time table could be longer with a young child as a main part of the story, but with it being only a short story makes it understandable.

I enjoyed the sweet nature of this insta-love story. While the chemistry was there immediately, misunderstanding meant that the romance was a bit of a slow burn (not too long, just right IMO). Shane was such a gentle soul, and Ally's life was in a bit of upheaval for a bit. Frankly though, it was little Evie that stole my heart from the get-go. This one's worth checking out!

Alina/Allie moves to Swoon Peaks and 'falls' into Shane's arms. He falls quick for her but she has a daughter, someone has already claimed her! This quick read is a great read! I loved the interactions between Shane and Evie her four year old daughter. This author is new to me but I did enjoy this book and look forwards to reading more of her work!.

Loved these characters, enjoyed Shane and his all in attitude once he’s made up his mind and fallen hard for the single mom Ally, and Evie is just adorable. Really liked this short age gap trope with the firefighter who knows just who he wants, and willing in put in the work.

ok so I’m fully aware that this is only 84 pages long, with insta love with (obviously) hea, a bit silly, pretty sappy and extremely unrealistic. But it was also a very beautiful read and made me feel stuff and it totally deserved 4.5 stars. I did not expect to enjoy this so much.
