We were almost free. I breathed fresh, cool air, and thought that meant my life was changing.
Fate lies, it’s fickle, and my stepbrother and I are again prisoners. I should have stayed awake, enjoyed being free for longer, because it only lasted a few, short hours. Now, Madam Clare is planning to sell us again, and I don’t know who to. Will it be to a monster like Bret from Slick Dreams, or could it be worse?
I know better now than to believe that alphas are caring, or that any of them are good. Enter at your own risk, because I no longer believe in happy endings. The only good alpha, is a dead one.
This journey through the dark world of trafficking was such a heavy and gruesome but also hope filled read. It is the story of people deciding to live regardless. Of people facing the worst of humanity and not only not letting them win, but turning fate completely around on them. It is the journey of people loving each other, of defying obstacles (even when those are family), and of choosing to thrive even when being shattered would be completely acceptable. There is seldom breathing room in this novel, and often the only "escape" from the heavy is the spice, but it makes for a story you won't soon forget.
Check trigger warnings before reading. This book is very graffic. Winter, Bellamy and Cass live thru some absolutely horrific things. A definite rollercoaster read!!

What an amazingly beautiful, heartbreaking rollercoaster of emotional highs and lows. The pace was perfect, easily keeping you riveted throughout as the pack works to heal Willow and Bellamy’s bruised souls. I absolutely couldn’t wait for this story after meeting the Tremaine Pack in ‘Ours Later’. I really do love an unhinged psycho who is a marshmallow for the people they love, and that definitely is true of this stunning pack. Pack Tremaine are a fantastically special pack; I’m thrilled they finally found not one but two omegas—they deserve all the happiness after the pain and intensity they had to go through to get there.
Jenn is never one to hold back as she writes her stories. Along with the way she shows the darker side of the world, Jenn also skillfully writes how beautiful finding the right person can be, and the omegaverse is always showcased to perfection within this dynamic. The extra special Soul Bond Willow and Bellamy have was fascinating and so beautiful. I loved the whole eyes changing with double omega bonds to being able to speak to each other telepathically—it's so unique and not one I have read of before.
I have a very big love of really dark books and Jenn is a master at these, however, even I had to take a few deep breathing breaths to get through a few scenes with Cassidy, Willow, and Bellamy whilst with Madame Clara! I mean, yes, that was tough and had me on the edge of my seat! The only solace to this is how it all ends as they get their justice, which did ease my soul somewhat!
Cassidy is such a beautiful alpha as well as a total badass. I loved her so much; it was wonderful having a female alpha to add more to the pack's dynamics. However, even with her totally awesome badassery, she still loved being spoiled by her pack. Some of her retribution techniques, and the fact other alphas love to watch her work, was totally fun and yet brutal at the same time—it was utter brilliance. There is a particular justice the pack perform that I have to say is a first for me, and that’s saying something! It certainly gave me a couple of gaggy noises, but it was just perfect for a certain someone though! Very well created Jenn, even if I do worry for your mindset 🤣 don’t ever change, I love it!
I adore seeing so many wonderful characters return not only from Ours Later but Twinverse/Unhingedverse too. I really do love these crossovers and I’m really looking forward to Alisa’s story. There are some very hot spicy times as well as a heat the pack go through together, and their connection and deep bond only heightens these scenes. It truly is a wonderful balance of love, passion, relationships, resilience, justice, and ‘unbreakable’ bonds!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We met Pack Tremaine in ‘Ours Later’ when they helped Nina and Pack Thornfield reunite. Alpha Cassidy had a really close bond with Nina and struggled with not being able to claim her. Even though Cassidy has an extremely loving pack that—mistakenly—stop sexual interactions (though they do kiss, cuddle, and touch Cassidy often), she simply craves the omega pheromones and how good it feels to hold an omega.
On the verge of touch starvation, she turns to Omega Hug Centres. Never using the same business twice, she happens upon one that doesn’t feel right. That gut feeling is soon confirmed when Omegas are carried in and substances are pumped into the communal room. Luckily Cassidy managed to contact her pack and they rescue all the obviously deeply mistreated Omegas—and even luckier, the two omegas with Cassidy are the pack's scent matches: Willow and Bellamy. They are two step-siblings who share a strong Soul Bond; they lost their parents and were then sold to Madame Clara by their Aunt mere weeks after they both presented as Omegas.
Willow and Bellamy have an instant connection with Cassidy and fall really quickly for the others in the pack too—Abbot, Shiloh, and Ansel. Their relationship together is beautifully caring, romantic, and nurturing, however they are also extremely protective and possessive, all of which Willow and Bellamy truly thrive on and love.
But all is not quite a happy ever after for the pack yet, as Madam Clara isn’t done with Willow and Bellamy, and unfortunately, Cassidy is thrown into their pain! The ordeal Willow, Bellamy, and Cassidy suffered was truly heartbreaking, but their bond ran so deep—truly unquestionable love. Not just them though, as Abbot, Shiloh, and Ansel have their own hardship to deal with because they felt they let them down and couldn’t protect them. However, as a pack, they absolutely support each other wonderfully.
This isn’t for the faint of heart, but it's absolutely a ride I can highly recommend!
I truly enjoy Jenn Bullard's work and this is a genre that she does so well. Omega-verse with a challenging curve ball as we all go on a rollercoaster ride with Winter and Bellamy. Two Omegas that fall into a system where all Omega's are treated as commodities and used to their fullest to make as much money as they can for their owners. I cannot reiterate enough that ALL Trigger warnings should be read and understood before undertaking this story. It's dark and dirty, just the way I like it! Jenn does not hold back in the writing of the abuse, in graphic detail that the Omegas go through . It puts you in the room with them. The conscious effort to make these scenes as plausible as possible is brilliant. I cried for how both Willow and Bellamy held onto their soul link to keep them from succumbing to the despair that could definitely make them feel totally useless to society. And then they are helped to escape Bret and his cruelty, only to discover that Clara had found a way to kidnap them again. So starts the circle of abuse once again. Enter the Tremaine Pack. Cassidy the female Alpha of the pack, Shiloh, Abbot and Ansel, who also are Alphas. They have all been actively looking for an Omega to join their pack with little success. Cassidy is struggling with her own demons and is finding it difficult within the pack. She attends Hug centres so she can hug an Omega as she feels that if her guys find a female Omega they may not want her in the pack any longer. Entering a newly established Hug Centre, Cassidy soon realises that it is not at all what it seems. Omegas are presented to all the Alphas present, but seem to be under duress. When she sees Winter and Bellamy, she instantly recognises them as her scent match. She soon becomes drowsy due to drugs being filtered into the room, so sends out an SOS to her guys. Knowing rescue is imminent, she hugs both Bellamy and Willow closer and refuses to let them go. The Pack soon realise both Winter and Bellamy are all their scent matches. And Finally!! Willow and Bellamy are Rescued!! Yay. This part of the story made me so happy that there were suddenly 6 pack members. The Alphas were protective of their two Omegas, as they should be! Even though they dismantled and rescued all the other Omegas, the Pack knew that Clara was still at large and both Willow and Bellamy would not feel safe until she was found. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop, honestly, I was with the Omega's on this, I knew Jenn had more in her and she did not disappoint. The curve balls kept coming as Pack Tremaine was constantly vigilant in keeping the pack safe. But no amount of security could help them when their two Omegas and Cassidy were kidnapped! Geez I just loved this book in it's entirety and yes, even the gory bits where revenge is metered out.
"Fuck around and find out sometimes means that karma makes you into a human toilet."
Haha YeS!! Absolutely perfect revenge right there! This book was rocking and I read 85% in one sitting until I had to put it down and get some much needed sleep. Make sure you have time on your hands, wine in your glass and nibbles on standby as you will want to devour this book in its entirety in one sitting! A smashing 5 stars from this Omega-verse Addict!
Winter and Bellamy are step siblings who after their parents died went to live with their evil aunt Matilda. She was elated when they presented as Omegas and promptly sold them to Madame Clara, a sex trafficker and all around horrible human being. They endure countless abuse while they’re kept by her.
Cassidy is a female alpha who has a devoted and loving pack…but they’ve been struggling. Cassidy is touch starved…but only from omega contact. Her alphas love her and try to comfort her but they can’t make up for physical touch from an omega. In a desperate attempt for omega contact Cassidy visits the Hug Project, a place where you’re supposed to be able to get non sexual physical contact from an omega. What she doesn’t expect is to be drugged along with the omegas that are pushed into her room…or that these two omegas would be her scent matches.
Cassidy texts her alphas and they save her, kill everyone at the hug project, and recuse and take Winter and Bellamy home. Winter and Bellamy have been drugged for a year and they need to detox. The drugs are potent and detoxing is hell. While at the Tremaine packs home they find out they are scent matched to the whole pack. Winter and Bellamy are also soul bonded…which means they are intrinsically connected to one another. They are hesitant to open up at first because it all seems like a beautiful dream to them, one that can be snatched away. But Cassidy and her pack quickly show them how invested they are in these two fierce survivor omegas.
Winter and Bellamy are happily exploring their life now that they are part of the pack (they’ve been bitten in). But an awful moment at an event shatters their world. They, along with Cassidy are kidnapped and returned to Madame Clara. Madame Clara breaks their bonds and tortures and rapes the three of them. Just when all hope seems lost, the alphas come and rescue them. While recovering Winter and Cassidy learn that they’re pregnant…with their packs babies!!!
They give both to a beautiful son and daughter, and all live HEA.
**THOUGHTS/OPINIONS**
I have had mixed opinions about Bullards books in the past. I’ve enjoyed some, and hated others. All of Bullards omegaverse novels are VERY steamy, very violent and true polyamorous books, meaning there is always lots of m/m, and sometimes f/f. In some of her past books the m/m was IMO poorly done, in as much as it wasn’t balanced well. The female main character ended up getting the shaft, metaphorically speaking, as the male relationships overshadowed the female main characters relationships. It felt heavy handed, and the FMC didn’t get the physical or emotional love she needed to make it a good a well rounded RH. This particular novel had both m/m and f/f relationships, and it was very well done. The two main FMC’s, Winter and Cassidy loved each other, as well as the male characters. The m/m content was well balanced. There were singular m/m scenes, as well as scenes with all the characters together. I never felt like any of the characters weren’t receiving enough time or attention. I’m pleased I took a chance on another of Bullards books because she showed me in the offering that she can write a well balanced polyamorous novel. Just be warned…the book is VERY graphic, not only in sexual content but in violent matter. There are graphic torture, rape and murder scenes.
I have loved every single one of Jenn’s books but I will say that this one is definite my favorite solo book of hers. It is probably one of her darkest books that I’ve read, so the emotions are high. When I say to read your trigger warnings, I’m not kidding. There is a lot of heavy topics that some people definitely might not be okay with.
I really love how there are four alphas in a pack and one of them is a female alpha. Yes please. I just love how it starts how they meet their omegas. I also love how weary Winter and Bellamy are because they have definitely have been through a lot in their lives and it was not a joyous time either.
What Bellamy, Winter and Cassidy went through was just horrible but man, that payback was simply everything. I will say that Cassidy is a bad a** on so many levels. She did everything to protect her omegas. It is definitely one of my favorite comebacks and revenge I’ve ever written and I only wanted more.
Cassidy is my favorite alpha and Bellamy is my favorite omega. I love a book when the female alpha gets the love that she deserves because a lot of times it’s always about the omega. And these alphas showed no mercy and loved and spoiled her so much. I just wanted to hug her for everything she went through multiple times during her life. And Bellamy is a hoot. He doesn’t let anyone get away with anything and he would do anything to protect his stepsister.
The soul bond between Winter and Bellamy is funny. When Winter goes through something towards the end of the book, I definitely was giggling because poor guy.
I was never a fan of dark romance in the past but the way that Jenn captures the dark parts of this book is simply beautiful. It is traumatic but it’s such an amazing ride to see the characters go through something so traumatic and then they come back stronger than ever.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
This book is about two omega step siblings, soul bonded, trapped in an endless cycle of torment from which they cannot escape, until our alpha female stumbles into the deep end and finds them. With the help of the rest of her pack the two omegas can finally start healing and becoming who they were always meant to be. But with Clara hot on their heels they must now face the past before they can command their future.
Please remember to check your triggers and take care of yourself, you matter!
I loved this book, it is definitely one of my favourite books of all time. I loved the entire pack, I’ve been rooting for them since back when we got ”ours later” and to finally get to see the inner workings of their pack is incredibly rewarding! Jenn did not pull any punches—to be fair she never does—and throws these characters into a nightmare situation that had me on the edge of my seat, chipping away at my fingernails and desperately hoping for both mercy and that my sourdough starter would grow faster.
Before this book I could proudly say I had never gagged or been nauseous because of one. I can’t say that anymore. Jenn outdid herself with this one, it’s a masterpiece. The rollercoaster of emotions Jenn takes us on is one I never want to end, I want more, I’m highly considering rereading it mere hours after finishing it for the second time. And now I’m dreading going through my search for my next read, I don’t know how to top this.

"I'm not going to ask where the toy came from, because it feels really good. It doesn't matter right now, so I'm going to call my alphas the magical toy fairies."
""The only way to get through these things is to see how many dark corners of the art museum we can christen," Ansel grumbles. "Well, maybe this thing won't be so boring," Bellamy says blandly."
4.5 ⭐️ good read, but check the TWs…..seriously!! This is dark dark….it is very detailed in those dark parts as well…. It’s also throughout the book, so once you think it’s ok to let your guard down….$h!t hits the fan…You’ve been warned. There is no darkness involved to any of the pack by anyone else in the pack. Everyone else is fair game…. It is was well written and definitely keeps you on your toes. You feel bad for most of the characters in this book for what they have been through but also for what some of them are still going through.
We have our Alphas: Cassidy, Abbot, Shiloh and Ansel, who are in a bonded pack. And our Omegas: Winter and Bellamy, step siblings who are closer than most and very dependent on one another. The Alphas find the Omegas in a bad situation and save them. They make sure they are healthy, happy and safe. The Alphas look into who hurt their Omegas and made them all pay for what they did….they also get a list from them as well.
After a time of healing the Alphas help the Omegas learn to integrate back into society and help them find what they want to do with their lives. Then….darkness
Don’t worry… no matter what the title is of this book….. this does end in a HEA…. It was hard won but they all got there in the end.

“Is it bad to k*** people as therapy?” I ask suddenly. “Absolutely not. Is that what you want to do?” Abbott asks, sitting next to me. “Yes,” Bell and I say at the same time. “I want to move past it, while knowing the past can’t hurt me because I watched it d!€,” I admit. “Does that make me a bad person?”—Winter
Knot a Happy Ending is a dark, emotionally intense read that immediately pulls you into a world where hope is short-lived and trust is dangerous. The story opens with a brief glimpse of freedom, only to rip it away just as quickly, setting the tone for a plot driven by cruelty, survival, and the unpredictability of fate.
The main character’s voice is one of the strongest parts of the book. Her hardened perspective—especially her belief that no alpha can be trusted—feels believable given everything she’s endured. Rather than feeling overly dramatic, her cynicism adds depth and makes her journey more compelling. The bond with her stepbrother also adds emotional weight, showing how they rely on each other in a world that constantly fails them.
The introduction of Pack Tremaine adds a new layer of tension. While they may represent a chance at something different, the story doesn’t make it easy to believe in them. This uncertainty keeps the reader on edge, balancing the possibility of safety with the fear that things could become even worse.
This book leans heavily into darker themes, including captivity, control, and trauma, so it may not be for everyone. However, for readers who enjoy gritty, high-stakes stories with complex characters and uneasy relationships, it’s a gripping read.
Overall, Knot a Happy Ending lives up to its name—intense, unsettling, and difficult to put down, with just enough intrigue to keep you questioning what “happy” could even mean in this world.
Knot A Happy Ending is a good, dark, emotional story that is deeply satisfying!!

This is Pack Tremaine's story. Alphas Cassidy, Abbott, Shiloh, and Ansel, and their Omegas Winter and Bellamy. Winter and Bell are step siblings who have survived horrific trauma and rely on each other completely.
When the pack finds them in a terrible situation, they step in, save them, and make sure they’re safe, cared for, and finally able to heal.
There’s revenge, justice, and plenty of on page darkness, but also tenderness, loyalty, and a pack willing to burn the world down for their omegas.
Seeing Winter and Bellamy slowly rebuild their lives and watching the pack fight their own demons makes the HEA feel earned and emotional. 🥰🥰🥰
It ties into the Forbiddenverse, with cameos and connections you will love. It’s intense, gripping, and impossible to put down!!
If you can handle the triggers, it’s a powerful, brutal, and ultimately a hopeful story!!
Jenn never disappoints with her stories!! Another must read in her Forbiddenverse series!!
“That’s it,” Abbott murmurs, his lips brushing against mine. “Say the magic words for me?” “Off with his knot?” I ask.
Oh my YES!! What can I say? It's a new addition to the Forbiddenverse where you will see some old faces and learn so much more about characters you have definitely wondered about it prior Jenn Bullard books. As per her normal unhingedness...there is trauma, spice, t0rture, and oh-so deserved unaliving. I love absolutely everything about this book. Bellamy and Winter are incredible characters who have been through/go through SO much, yet they haven't allowed any of that to break them. They're soul-bonded omegas that have no desire for alphas.
Enter Cassidy, followed by the rest of Pack Tremaine. They're all amazing from the moment Cassidy sees them to the rest of the guys arriving to assist. Abbott, Shiloh, Ansel, and Cassidy are each unhinged in their own ways, but they have so much heart.
I always love getting to see the characters from previous books show up. Jenn gets you so invested in her stories that you are always hoping for more!!
"The universe gives you people, and it’s your responsibility to hold onto them tightly. I swear at that moment that I’ll never let them go."
This is a very dark read dirty some very graphic scenes so check those trigger warnings. What Ballamy, Winter, and Cass go through is told in graphic detail.
First off I loved the soul bond. I do not think Bellamy and Winter would have survived without it. It was both a huge blessing and a curse with what that had to survive. The connection between them is absolutely beautiful.
This book will definitely keep you on your toes while making you smile, gasp and cry. I read this book in one sitting (yes I know it was not a shirt book but I couldn't stop). Every time you thought you knew what would happen next you discovered the next awful thing was about to happen.
I absolutely loved this pack. Cass had been struggling and needing Omega pheromones and this need led her to the Hug Center. This particular business was not as it seemed. After realizing what was going on she got her pack to help. Of course saving these trafficked Omegas was the intention she also left with two scent matched Omegas.
This story was filled with so many ups and downs but it was done in a way that still gave you hope. I love how Jenn writes some of the darkest times while still allowing hope and healing to shine through.
Winter can’t believe that she and Bellamy are in this predicament all because her aunt wanted money. Aunt Matilda sold both of them to an auction house and now they are in a cage together trying to survive and not get separated. Will they make it out? Will Alpha Bret actually take care of them? Will they be ok and find their scent matches?
This book was a great addition to this series. I love how there are also Easter eggs in the story that also point to some Unhingedverse characters. So you don’t have to ready those books first, but you really should go diving into that series as it will no doubt make this series even richer. There are new concepts that are introduced in this book and I love how they were explored and come together. Overall this book will take you on one wild ride that dips into the dark and unhinged underground. It may be hard to watch the characters go through what they do, but the ending is all the more sweeter for it. This was a good addition to the world that is very much Jenn Bullard’s creation. Can’t wait to see whose story is next.
Oh gosh what a journey We met these two main characters in the book of Retribution by this amazing author who writes some of the best dark omegaverse fiction, and it is so nice to see that they got their own story.
Winter and Bellamy are step-brother and sister that were sold to a traveling Underground trafficking ring and eventually ended up in Atlanta where they are rescued by their pack, and what a pack it is it comes with a touch starved female Alpha Cassidy who sees them and literally calls in the calvary and three other male Alphas who would burn the world down for Cassidy and their two omegas.
I have so much to say about this book it like all of the other books of the series is a page Turner and you just can't help but to sit on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens, sure you definitely want to read the trigger warnings because sometimes it does get a little cringy but it is worth it at the end and the spice is off of the chain for these I am so glad that I got a chance to be an arc reader and every time I get to read this series it just gets better and better
This is the next book in the forbiddenverse and while this is a standalone I would recommend reading ours later first as there is cameos from several characters.
This is a hard read and all the way through your just hoping for things to get easier for winter and Bellamy. There story goes from bad to worse to better to down right cruel to the hea. It is hard fought and all the sweeter for it when it finally comes.
The pack also has their demons and Cassidy is such a great character. Her past and then down right cruel makes her story arc beautiful to witness. Especially when she gets the one thing she never thought she could have.
I don’t think I’ve ever rooted for a pack as much as these guys.
The revenge as in all Jenn books is sweet and inventive and not for the faint at heart.
As with all Jenn books check the triggers. They are there and they are on page. No sugar coating in this book. Don’t read if you can’t handle it.
Overall this is a 5* star read for me and I’m so excited to see what comes next
Check your triggers before even thinking about starting this book.
I've been waiting for this book since first reading about Bell and Winter. They intrigued me so much. I knew their story would be amazing. Beyond amazing. Let me tell you, I went through all the emotions multiple times throughout this story. I laughed, I cried, I got pissed, I attempted to walk away from my kindle only to go back to it minutes later. I couldn't remember if I had texted my best friend back or not. Bonus was reading more of Cassidy and getting to know her character. She was absolutely delightful! In OV books, we don't get female alphas mixed in much. She was the perfect example of what I imagined a female alpha to be like. Abbott, Ansel, and Shiloh were just icing on the cake. I loved their dynamics and how each had their roles in the pack.
There is one thing I need cleared up. I have a feeling that Jenn has surpassed her previous unaliving record with this book. There was a lot of mystery as to how much went on through the book. The sneakiness was in abundance.
"We all have our demons, Bellamy. The ones that shine brightest hide them the best.”
I'm sure if you are looking up this book you would be well acquainted with the dark and explicit omegaverse content in this created Forbiddenverse that the author somehow always has a way up upping the antics with.
Once I started this book I just needed the two main characters to find happiness at all costs. What they had experienced and survived and the love that they shared for one another was so heartbreaking beautiful.
Pack Tremaine just entered the group chat. Dangerous and ruthless alpha’s that fate new exactly was needed in this dark unforgiving world of trafficking.Who will stop at nothing to get revenge on anybody who hurt the ones they love.
Expect angst, heartbreak ,utter need for retribution to fix all the wrongs done against these omegas.
💀⃤Female alpha, 3 male alphas 💀⃤2 omegas (male/female) 💀⃤Large harem, 💀⃤Auctions 💀⃤Pages of trigger warnings, this one is close to pitch black! ⚠️
Wow! This second book in the Forbiddenverse is not for the faint of heart! It’s a story centered trauma and its ripple effects. Winter and Bellamy have known very little but what it’s means to be stripped of your agency and safety. Horrifically treated by their aunt/step-aunt, they have very little time to blossom into their designations or tender soul bond before they are sold into a human trafficking ring. Happiness and safety feel impossible as they cling tightly to each other to endure the violent and visceral violations of their bodies and souls.
Pack Tremaine has turned their own pain into purpose; but even they ca find themselves lost to their demons. Yearning to fill an omega shaped hole, fractures form and one of their own feels lost. Cassidy is a rare female alpha and is struggling with acceptance as so few omegas are open to her designation. She aches for what feels hopeless and unknowingly stubbles upon a business for s** trafficking ring that includes her scent matched omegas.
This is a story about the anguish of healing and how redemptive it is to find utter acceptance by those you love. It is messy, fractured, tentative, and violent. Their journey is hard won and full of found family. This is a very difficult but beautiful read, so I implore you to check content warnings before diving in. This is an enter connected stand alone, but you will have a much deeper appreciation if you have read Ours Later and Jenn’s other backlist. Can’t wait for this to release on April 2nd!
"Sometimes, the karma dildo comes calling, and that day is today."
I literally couldnt stop laughing at that and so many other phrases in this story and I am totally using it!
But on a serious note....this story was CRAZY! In the best way of course! You have two omegas who have been used and abused just trying to stay together and then luck happens to put them in the paths of the perfect scent match family. As a bi lady, I was SOOO excited to get introduced to a pack that also had a woman alpha in it. I loved reading the dynamic of everyone that included knots AND locks! This story will hurt your heart in certain ways so check the trigger warnings in the beginning!
Jenn it is out of the park again with this story! But be warned! If you have made it to this story and have read some of her others, you know this girl can write a good...villain getting the ending they deserve scene if you know what I mean. 😈
Jenn ripped my heart out and put it back together in the best way possible with this book. I was raging by chapter one and once I started I couldn’t put it down. Winter and Bellamy had gone through so much in such a short amount of time.
I was so excited for Pack Tremaine’s story and it did not disappoint. I loved Cassidy as the female alpha. Yes she’s a badass but (no spoilers!) she is dealing with trauma. I loved how the pack spoiled the omegas and Cassidy - they were protective and also very caring.
You will definitely see some familiar names in this book - I love the cross overs
⚠️Hard Stop - check the content warnings (if you have TWs) before starting this book. This story is intense! It’s dark and harsh and suspenseful and emotional…and so freaking good!

This is the second book in the Forbddenverse series. There will be a total of 4 books in this series. I love Jenn bullard and you will too! This story broke my heart and had me crying so much. It was sad, tragic and traumatic. It was also sweet, romantic and beautiful. This book was full of everything you can (and can’t) imagine. It was full of hope, love and despair. If you have not previously read a Jenn Bullard book, please read ALL TRIGGER WARNINGS!! She may be a slightly unhinged pixie but we love her just the way she is! Thank you, Jenn Bullard, for this traumatic, dark and beautiful read. I will say you continue to surprise me with your writing and I am absolutely here for it. Everytime I fall into the Jenn-verse, I never want to return! I mean who would with all the smexy, unhinged, morally grey gods who live there?!
Jenn is a phenomenal writer and I loved every book of hers I’ve read. She has written a wide variety of books, all great! This book, while still amazing, broke my heart! This was probably the hardest book of hers I’ve ever read. Don’t get me wrong, it was an incredible book with a remarkable story, it was just traumatizing.
Winter and Bellamy have had abhorrent lives since their parents died. Thankfully, they came upon Cassidy and were rescued. There was a period of happiness, then the rug was ripped out from under them again, this time, taking Cassidy with them. It was a nightmare.
The healing was awe-inspiring. I was so happy to read that part! It was written in typical Jenn fashion. Spectacularly penned and sensationally healing! Definitely mind your triggers before reading this book, but if you are willing, you are in for one hell of a ride!
Holy emotional roller coaster of trauma, suspense, and deep consuming love. I always have to space out Jenn Bullard books because there’s so much to digest and recover from - in the very best way. I’m pretty sure I’m having mild PTSD from some of the INSANITY that happened on the pages.
This book is hauntingly beautiful, and definitely not for the faint of heart. I love the complexities of two omegas and a female alpha in Pack Tremaine. This book is Omegaverse done right. It’s not all sexy fun times and first heats - it’s so much more. However, the spice and romance 💋👌🏻. Although it can easily be read as a standalone, a lot of things click together easier if you read Ours Later first.
Highly, highly recommend. This was my second five star reads of 2026! I never write reviews, but this book deserves it! Check your triggers and know that despite the title, there truly is a HEA.
Jenn should just change her name to MacGyver. When it’s time for the bad guys to get gone, the most random, mundane and probably safe items become……precision tools? Craftsmanship creativity aside, I really love getting wrapped up in Jenn’s world. Her characters feel very real, their stories don’t start on page one of ‘their’ book. They also don’t just end when you reach the last page. In reality, tendrils of their story started unfolding a few books back but the beauty of Jenn’s writing is that you don’t even realize it. They are characters that quietly linger in the back of your mind. Pack Tremaine proved to be special in Ours Later. I love that they’ve found their omegas, but hate the pain and horror they had to go through to get there.
I devoured this book in one day—I seriously could not put it down. The beginning absolutely shattered my heart, but as the story progressed, it slowly started to piece itself back together in the best way.
The payback scenes are dark, detailed, and twisted, but they feel almost therapeutic for Bell, Winter, and Cass. Watching their journey unfold was both intense and incredibly satisfying.
I also loved seeing characters from previous books make appearances—it added so much depth and made the world feel even more connected. I really hope we get to see more of this pack in future stories!
If you’re looking for something emotional, gripping, and just the right amount of dark, this is definitely worth the read.
Taboo Step-Siblings Omegaverse Found family FF & MM
Dark world but not the pack.
Winter & her stepbrother, Bellamy, presented as omegas and was taken in by their Aunt to an auction house to be sold once their parents passed away. Once sold, Alpha Bret took them and changed their names to Summer & Chase. They are sweet and broken omegas.
Cassidy is an Alpha and feels touch starved even though she has a pack (Pack Tremaine - Abbott, Shiloh, Ansel). She feels it’s not completed. She meets Winter and Bellamy through a drug haze at a place called the Hug Project.
Madam Clara is on the war path trying to bring back Winter and Bellamy for her own personal gain.
Lots of trauma which is acceptable in Jenn’s books. Love anything that she writes.
I freaking loved this story. First off I’m obsessed with the Forbidden Omegaverse series. Heck I’m obsessed with this authors books. So this book can be read as a standalone. But I would read the previous ones cause a lot of the other characters that you see in this book are in the previous books.
This story pulled me in and I binged read all the way to the end. There are trigger warnings so be aware. I adored Bellamy and Winter and was thrilled they got there HEA. I have been waiting for Cassidy’s story and omg the feels I got just from reading it. My heart broke for everything this pack went through. I cannot give away any spoilers. Because there’s a big one towards the end. Absolutely loved the story. Highly recommend reading.
Jenn Bullard continues to astound me with her stories. Her mind must be a scary place to live. This is the second book in the Forbiddenverse and follows the Tremaine pack who we met in Ours Later and Winter and Bellamy who have made brief appearances before
All the books Jenn writes are emotional roller coasters but Knot A Happy Ending is like riding an emotional roller coaster on a continuous loop and no matter how hard you try, you just can't.... and let's face it, don't really want to get off.
this story will put you through the wringer in all the best ways so buckle in, have your emotional support snacks ready and the usual safe landing place for your reading device .... it will be needed.
This story definitely deserves more that 5*s and I can not recommend it highly enough.
'It's family, connection, and shared love.' - Bellamy
Jenn Bullard blew my mind with this book! The trauma was terrifyingly explicit and full of angst, fear and in a very strange turn of events inspiring. To go through the continued terror and threats to life and love and come out the other side with love, acceptance and to be cherished unconditionally, just wow. The writing captured me from the first and held me to the very end. The characters and world building were superb, I felt the emotion, the pain and the need for revenge. This book has me hooked on Jenn Bullard and my TBR is groaning in all the adds I have just made. If you want to become hooked on an author and the fantastic story telling with the pages, then read Knot A Happy Ending, you'll be glad you did!
