Such an adorable book for toddlers, with little flaps on each page, giving a description of the tool that Daddy needs for fixing. I love how easy the words are to follow, and how inviting the pictures seem to be, all of which are colourful and fun, something that a toddler loves to see! This book kept my little one interested, especially since he kept wanting to turn the flaps as I was reading. I would love to see more books of this type, it was something that I would recommend to anyone with a busy toddler!

We have a set of four Karen Katz books (mommy, daddy, grandma, grandpa) and I really dislike how stereotypical they are: grandma gets flowers and a pretty nightgown, daddy has tools and builds things. But my 2yo has adored these lift-the-flaps since she was old enough to show preferences in her reading material, so.

All the "lift-the-flap" books go over well at my house, and my toddler loves that this one is about a daddy and baby - apparently even he has noticed that lots of books are about mommies and babies, but there aren't so many about daddies and babies.

Our Daddy's a little critical of this one (Why are the tools *there*? Why does a dog house door need hinges?). But it's a cute story and one of the (relatively) few that focuses on the child-father relationship. Our 10-month-old loves to open the flaps & find the hidden words & pics beneath. And the flaps have held up surprisingly well, given his rough treatment of them.

I love parent books for children! When you are caring for a child these books are nice to have when the child misses their parent. This is a colorful flip-book about a father and child working on a project together.

The flaps will certainly get torn up at some point, but for now I really enjoy these books!

This book has been a favorite at our house for years.
My middle child had a hard time sitting still for stories when he was little but this lift-the-flap book kept him busy and entertained.

I enjoy this book because it is something my husband can read to my daughter. It is about building something, and involves all the tools he uses. She loves all the lift flap books.

A lift-the-flap board book about the special project that father and son are working on. Flaps hide the tools needed for the project.

A good read aloud for toddlers.

I got a little sense to find out the difference between under and behind.
Behind- some solid things
Under- soft and usually cloth?
