Kit Stitcher doesn’t know why she’s always been commanded from within to do the right thing and never lie, nor why she cares so deeply and profoundly for her friends, family, and her boyfriend. She even doesn’t know why she happens to be so... stunning — and why she so easily bids the attention of everyone around her – though she hardly cares for it. But she also doesn’t know why she was able to heal her mother’s Christmas tree that one time when she was younger, or why she has a certain unique connection with other people’s dreams… She also seems to have forgotten about that one troubled boy she met in her childhood – questioning if he even existed in the brief moments she passively recalls their supposed interaction. Either way, her adulthood and college life seem to be rather ordinary. Until, of course, she and her beautiful best friend Janna stumble upon an odd entrance to a magnificent cave while vacationing by the ocean. What will they find, if anything at all, should they peak through the curtains to the odd doorway at the back…
Kit and Janna find themselves in a place hitherto unknown and are presented with a choice – should they help? Or should they leave and continue their blissful lives at home. Maybe Kit will discover more about herself, or the origins of the oddities that surround her. Her undying need to be good and help anyone she encounters should certainly push Kit to do what she can to help. But will her efforts be enough?
Kit Stitcher: Planet One is undergoing a rewrite. Best to wait until that’s finished before reading.
Ant got his start writing horror stories on Reddit, where one of his earliest — a dark piece about a chatbot that convinces a man to take his own life — went viral after readers mistook it for a true account. That story, B-Bot, sparked thousands of reactions and made him realize he wanted to create something larger.
The idea for Kit Stitcher came years later, from a strange concept: what if God had gone missing — not out of neglect, but because something had happened to Him? And what if He left behind clues, scattered in plain sight, waiting to be found? That seed grew into a cosmic mystery about empathy, pain, and a girl who feels too much.
He lives with his wife and two cats, who are the only ones allowed to edit his work.
Kit Stitcher: Planet One is a dreamlike, slow-burning mystery that lingers in your mind long after the final page. With hauntingly quiet moments and subtle emotional depth, it weaves a strange and beautiful story about identity, connection, and the hidden corners of the psyche. If you enjoy stories that feel like puzzles wrapped in poetry, this one’s for you. A surreal, unforgettable experience.
This book is quite strange. When I had finished reading it, I went back to reread a few parts here and there in the beginning the middle and it was interesting to see the hints and clues sprinkled along the way. Tbh I loved reading it. Kit definitely has some unique/quirky abilities—or I guess I should say "capabilities" since it seems the author favored that word over abilities and the like which I guess makes sense as you read.
There was a sort of addicting quality to the story. I kept turning pages. Recommend for sure. Thanks.
