One weekend. One blackmail. One summer to remember... What could possibly go wrong? The rules are simple… Take the drug. Let go. Give in to the vibe. But by day two, the crowd is thinning. By day three, no one is sober. And by day four... they’ll all be begging to be touched— or eaten.
It’s very rare that you read a book that feels completely different from everything else and this was definitely one of those stories. I went in thinking it was just a quick, fun, spicy why choose… and when I tell you this shit was unhinged I mean it 😂 I felt like I was playing a scary video game. WHY ARE THEY CLICKING?!🫣😭
The title Summertime Madness couldn’t be more accurate, because that’s exactly what it was, madness.
I love books that aren’t afraid to do their own thing, and this one fully committed. I can pretty much guarantee you’ve never read anything like it. So if you’re in the mood for something totally off the rails, a little batshit, very much spicy and alittle creepy?? give this one a go.
WHAT A WILD RIDE
I love when the fmc DOMINATES it every form of the word. You play the game queen😉 👏🏻
My girl was out here going for world domination 😭😂
I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I feel so bad giving negative reviews, especially for ARCs, but I couldn’t make it past page 9… I think the premise of this was interesting and it had potential, but I felt like it was not Luna’s best work at all. I saw another review calling the first half just “muddled nonsense” and I absolutely have to agree unfortunately (it felt like an unpolished first draft). I was down with the whole hive-mind thing and the triggers didn’t bother me, it just felt very poorly-written to me and in desperate need of an editor (though an editor IS listed on her team-credits page so…??????) I think the concept was much more impressive to me in theory than the execution of it.
So, they didn’t get to the island till 57% mark of the book. Everything before that was….muddled nonsense.
***spoilers*** she “betrays” them after “manipulating” the boys to be together before being with her because… She wanted an internship but then didn’t care to drop out of it later when the boys “blackmailed” her, a moment she orchestrated for them to do, because I dunno, reasons, mixed in with fungi analogies.
On the island, sigh…. Someone definitely watched the last of us. While this part of the book is definitely better, I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily good. ⭐️⭐️ and that’s being generous. The abundant use of -dashes- was odd and suspicious as well.

Why choose, world domination through science, an experiment all based on a deserted island what could go wrong.
Cordelia wants to change the world, total control, when her experiment is stolen she is one step ahead the entire time, a well orchestrated plan that gives her everything she wants. Her stepbrother Tate may be smart, but Cordelia is the queen B, along with his best friend Chase they become the perfect Kings and Queen of Summertime Madness.
This is stem meets a smutty good time! What I wouldn’t give to peek into Luna’s mind because I swear everything she writes is so creative and unique, it immediately sucks me in!
Step into Summertime Madness, welcome to the hive where you either cum or die.
Thank you so much to Luna K Wicked for the opportunity to read this pre-release in exchange for my honest review. Your insane imagination never ceases to amaze me!
This read felt like I stepped into an episode of the last of us, but on a quarantined island with a controlled outbreak where the infected crave to be touched or die. Little did we know that Tate, Cordy, and Chase would find themselves smack in the middle of their own experiment and damn is it wild!
I was really confused when I started reading, and unfortunately, that confusion never went away. I love erotica horror and usually dive right in, but for some reason, this story just didn’t work for me. The plot felt disjointed, and I struggled to connect with what was happening or with the characters. It had the elements I typically enjoy, but it just didn’t click this time.
I loved this so much. The back and forth and the games between Tate and Cordelia were fantastic, and Chase with them both was so good. I loved watching how Cordelia’s mind worked and couldn’t wait to see what she had planned next. Learning about the plans Tate and Chase had, only to discover Cordelia’s role and true goal, was fantastic. I was completely entertained and couldn’t stop reading.
I was fortunate enough to be an ARC reader for this book, however I feel like i cannot give a good enough review because this book ended up not being my thing at all, when I signed up to read it wasn't advertised as containing certain things, don't get me wrong I like the idea of this book but feel like because it wasn't my kind of read im not gonna fall in love with it. if science experiments and gory apocalypse is your think then go for it!
I was given the opportunity to read this book and man I had the time of my life, barely understood what was going on but that’s what I loved about it 🤣 imagine a science experiment mixed with a summer festival, yeah, it was something I wasn’t expecting but absolutely loved 🤣
HOLY FUCKING SHIT. 👀🥵 This has been a must read as soon as Luna told us the premise of Summer Time Madness. Coachella meets The Last of Us AND it’s why choose? Sold. Take everything I have 👏🏼
Luna truly outdid herself with this one. It’s fucking incredible. The smut is immaculate and down right SPICY. That shit will have you drooling and panting while you read. The love dynamic between Cordy, Tate & Chase is ADDICTIVE and feels like pure perfection. They all fit together as one.
CORDELIA IS THE BADDEST BITCH. She is not only beautiful but she is fucking brilliant and always one step ahead. She just oozes confidence and really is the Queen B. That ending. The epilogue. OKAY. • This is fun as fuck, fast paced with a plot that will not feel rushed AND it’s a novella. The perfect summer read ❤️🔥
🌴RH / MFM (Taboo Ménage: Stepbrother + Best Friend) ☀️Blackmail romance 💚Childhood friends - rivals to lovers 🌴“We can share her,” ☀️Sword Crossing 💚Science nerds but make it Smutty 🌴Forced Proximity (Festival) ☀️ Summer Festival Gone Wrong
OMG THIS WAS SO GOOD I’M OBSESSED!!!🔥 The tension between Tate, chase and Cordelia was everything!! Tate and chase warship the ground Cordelia walks on even when Tate claims to hate her. Chase is the sweetest he’s definitely the calm between Tate and Cordelia they are very much alike and they need their claim!!! This was so unhinged and I loved every second of it!!!🖤
Luna’s mind is beautiful, wicked, and deranged and I love it so fucking much. This book is INCREDIBLE. I’m obsessed with it. I want more and more and more. Gimme all the hot horror mushy books Luna!!! I’m begging you!!!
Please check your trigger warnings and content warnings
I couldn't put this down! I started it and finished it in one day because it was so interesting. It had me on the edge of my seat because of the twists that were going on.
What could go wrong, blackmail, a weekend, and on an island?
Cordelia is working on a project and she wants to make sure that she is able to complete what she wants too. She will do anything to get what she wants to done.
Tate figures the best way to get back at her is to blackmail her. He wants to take the video and share it all over school if he can. Chase just wants to love Cordy and Tate but all Tate does is push his feelings towards Cordy away. He keeps them buried because he wants to believe that he hates her when he loves her.
Holy crap the twists that ended up happening in this had me like what!? The way things started to come together it had my mind blown because it wasn't what I expected. I couldn't get enough of the push and pull between Cordy and Tate, it was so hot 🥵 it was such amazing tension. I didn't want this to end, I want more of the three of them!
I signed up to ARC for this book immediately, faster than immediately, when I saw Coachella meets the Last of Us but smuttier.
And spent the first bit of the story going, this is pretty smutty for a horror romance before realizing it's actually erotic horror, which made far more sense, lol.
These three characters were fantastic. Tate and Cordy were giving me Cruel Intention vibes while Chase was just a perfect special little guy.
You want stepbrother? Got it. Brothers best friend? Got it. Group, age gap, dp, mm, fm, fmm, rivals to lovers, dark Academia, friends to lovers.... this book has a lot.
You want body horror? Plant horror? Human nature horror? Got it all.
I am a sucker for body horror and the fungal parasitic aspect was for me, yes, please. This book will be going on my shelf when it comes out.
The first half of the book is a lot of setup with little hints of what is to come. The second half the book is gross smutty horrific chaos.
Overall my only :( was I wish the book was longer. The obsession and knowledge and science and mind games I think would have been cool to see built up more, if we had had more time to watch everything play out. It felt a little rushed at times and sometimes seemed, a bit much only because it was all happening in such a short amount of time. Plus I just want an excuse to read more about these three.
But still a five star read for me. And hey Cordy, Chase, and Tate got what they wanted in the end.
Reading like a psychedelic induced fever dream, Summer Time Madness takes the deadly sins of lust, greed, gluttony, envy and pride and lets them loose in an academic science experiment gone wrong—or maybe, really right?! Cordelia, Tate and Chase are as necessary to each other as the air they breathe, and their sexual encounters are smutty spice at its best. As the Queen B, Cordy, rules over the hive using her intelligence to cleverly manipulate and ultimately, get revenge on the men who would steal others’ hard work.
A fresh summer read that delivers on the debauchery of summer festivals and steamy space with a strong dose of chaos. Check your content warnings and know that this book is unhinged and nothing like something you’ve read before.
Imagine if The Last of Us was filmed at Coachella and then you might begin to explain the trip that was Summertime Madness. This novella is a spicy fever dream, with horror vibes and I’m not mad at it. Summertime Madness was definitely not what I expected going into it, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. What happens when Cordelia, a brilliant woman is determined to prove her thesis by any means necessary and the men who love her will do anything just to be in her presence? It’s a perfect storm of mad science, horror and a smutty good time. This will definitely not be for everyone, check your triggers, but if you like what you see, strap in and enjoy the ride!
TAKE ME TO LUNA ISLAND .. Immediately!! The perfect start to summer book!! OBSESSED!!! A spore soaked fever dream where lust, science, and survival collide !!!! and it’s HAWT 🔥. I want to be Cordelia when I grow up 😮💨 Do you crave stories that don’t hold back.. just completely feral? Just imagine a world where nature isn’t passive .. it wants YOU!! The main FMC - Cordelia she isn’t just surviving she’s evolving .. and did I mention it has a taboo -step brother dynamic and A -we can share her vibe with his bestie 🥵 Your next summer book obsession . Your welcome 🫶🏻
I loved this book so much the way Chase, Tate, and Cordelia interact, the way she her mind works fast .
chase is such a precious one my beautiful boy 😍
he would be so much fun and definitely get you feral .
Tate, I know, may seem mean to some, but that's just Tate he isn't cruel. This is just his way he is incredibly smart. I love how it shows his intelligence and Cordelia yet not exactly the same.
them spicy scenes, I was loving it every moment of it.
Where do I begin? Fungi Sex Best friends An Island And a party called Summer Time Madness! Cordelia, Tate and Chase are your 3 main characters. Cordelia & Tate are step siblings & Chase is Tate’s best friend. One night on the shore a bond was forged between them. Was it smooth sailing? Of course not. Cordelia & Tate are super competitive especially when it comes to fungi and their experiments. Chase decides they need a weekend away to reconnect so he books a trip to an island for Summertime Madness. He doesn’t tell Cordy or Tate what the party is actually about but he knows. I don’t to give it away so you’ll have to read. It’s a fun read, a little dark but it doesn’t feel dark.
I was sent this ARC by the author. It was a fun quick novella. Things I liked: “The Last of Us” vibes, MFM throuple smutty scenes, the general concept of the book. Things I didn’t like : the word “ropes” used in a certain sexual description, how choppy the story felt, and frequent repetition of words within the same paragraph or page. I think this book would have been better if it was longer and the author was able to dive deeper into the parts of the storyline outside of the smut.
Every-time i read a fun novella i want it to be longer. This was so much fun! Definitely different from anything I’ve read and i kinda still want more. The smut was smutting and the plot was plotting!
Luna does it again! I am in love with this book! The scientific terms do make things a bit confusing every now and again. I had to go back and read a few over just to fully understand what was happening but overall it is an amazing book that I devoured!
This book took me a little longer than it'd normally take to actually grab my attention. At first I thought it was going to be a book ahout ants & the humans somehow turned into them or something lol but thankfully, no!😂
I do think it was very well written & had a lot of details which I love about any book! The fmc is definitely a queen & the ways she gets her way I wasn't expecting. The mc's definitely through me for a loop with the way they are together because I was not expecting that! But it was a good read & if you're in the mood for a spicy, female dom, & good boys, this is the book for you!
Whoa! What a ride. LOVE the dominance that Cordelia had 😮💨 a spicy unique why choose between STEPBROTHER Tate 🤭 and his best friend Chase . So many of my fave tropes and fast paced read.
Luna Island is the place to be. This is my first read from Luna K. Wicked and I devoured it. I loved every minute of it. Completely different from what I usually read, especially it being an erotic horror with "The Last of Us" meets Coachella vibes but smutty. It was mind blowing and did I mention the sex scenes were freaking amazing. I give those scenes 5 chili peppers. Luna you were definitely cooking with this one.
MMF Step brother/step sister TLOU x Music festival
The FMC was a little too much for me with the whole manipulation and black mailing things. But then again, EVERYONE in this book was either manipulating the other or black mailing. That seemed to be the popular trope in this book. The first 50% was kinda of just alot of information dumped at once, also the POV was unclear to me in certain points where the chapter had a break and went onto a new page. If you want a quick read with some spice of all different flavors this is a book you should try!
Not personally for me BUT I can see why others love

I received this as an ARC, and this is my honest review.
I enjoyed the premise- it was like The Last of Us and Resident Evil's Umbrella Corporation had a baby in the middle of a rave. Cordelia was the ultimate mastermind who knew the outcomes before others even knew they were playing a game. The spicy scenes were raw and visceral.
Here's the but: (and I do take into consideration that this is an early copy, so hopefully additional editing will be done before the final release.)
I had so many issues with grammatical errors, tense shifts in the same paragraph (and not used correctly), run-on sentences that didn't make sense... A lot of story cohesion was lost due to all these errors and editing issues. It felt like the story was told in an ongoing stream of consciousness by an unreliable narrator.
I would probably revisit the book after it has been reviewed by an editor again for corrections.
