yes yes yes 5 stars etc etc obviously as if I'd rate it anything less. (seriously, even if it was 1 star I'd still tell you it was 5 stars because I'm a good friend). but even without my bias, this is a really funny and lighthearted read. If you love Britt, you'll love this book.
I know Brittney personally, so of course I was excited to read her book - but I can honestly say I would be giving it five stars regardless of our friendship!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book felt like having a really honest, raw chat with a friend, and I LOVED that Britt writes exactly how she speaks - funny, vulnerable, straight-up - and that made it such a fun and engaging read. I also frothed the pics throughout and loved how that added a visual to the timeline for readers. For people haven't followed Britt for years or don't know much about her story/upbringing, this book will definitely give you a whole lot of context, far beyond what most people might know from social media.
She dives into everything from business and burnout to heartbreak and hustle, and does it in a way that feels so real and relatable. I found myself flying through it, always wanting to know what happened next and not being able to out it down 🤌🏼 So honestly, whether you’re chasing your own dream or just love a good story about resilience and figuring things out as you go, this is such a worthwhile read. So proud of HER!!! 💖
This definitely read as a book written by a person who doesn’t regularly read; however, it was interesting and I finished it in a day.
It would’ve benefited from a stronger, clearer structure. Chronological possibly. I found it was jarring at times going between ages and relationships and business moves. Also, it was a tad too surface for me. I wish we heard more of the gritty details about business, especially the early days. Even a single episode or two of Big Business has more specific details regarding her business journey and struggles. This seems odd to me given that this is book (I imagine) was intended to tie it all together (which was alluded to when Brittney writes about how some readers may not know the brand or herself and just picked the book off a shelf).
In saying all that, if Brittney writes another book, I’ll definitely read it and look forward to a more structured read. Brittney has a really clear voice and a wonderful story to tell.
This book felt like I was listening to Brittney speak. As I have watched her videos from the very start as a little girl about to start high school, I was happy to see that the words on the page reflected Brittney.
I really loved the chapters where it dove more into her personal life rather than the business side. (I understand this book is about business but I felt even more connected to her through this) Brittney often sticks to her word, so I hope she goes through with writing a second book.
“Just a sidenote, the universe has been telling me that I'm going to write a second book all about my childhood and the way I think it has such a close link between being an entrepreneur who has dealt with neglect. anyway that's for the next book.”
This book also is great for people who may have little to no belief in themselves as Brittney speaks on topics of imposter syndrome and not feeling good enough. She really shows how you can overcome this with the right people in your life. I honestly would recommend this book to anyone and everyone!

Rating this a 5 star as it’s really nice to read Britt’s story in written format, there is a large amount of her story that I have heard on her podcast but still a good read nonetheless.
Brit is a true powerhouse—everything she touches turns to gold. From her OG YouTube days to building a fashion empire, I’ve followed her journey for years, and this book is the perfect reflection of her drive, resilience and authenticity. A must-read for anyone who loves Britt and all she does and also anyone chasing big dreams.
I really enjoyed this book. I resonated with the discussion about her dad because I don’t have a relationship with my dad myself. I like how she said she used it as fuel, and when I reflected on that for myself, I found myself thinking the same thing about my own life.
I also really liked what she said about imposter syndrome - this was something that also really resonated with me. It was nice to be reminded that I wasn’t alone in feeling that way and how this way of thinking might have come from my own past experiences. It helped me to reflect on a lot.
I also cried in the chapter “letter to my younger self” it was so beautiful and captivating and I found myself also reading it to my younger self too. So thank you for that.
The only thing that I didn’t like was how this book wasn’t in chronological order in terms of how things happened. It jumped around a lot to lots of different points in time, and I found myself getting confused. But I guess I went in with the expectation that this would be more of a “life story” type of book: that is would start at the beginning and end where she is now. But maybe I just went into it with false expectations.
I guess I preferred the chapters that were more about her life or experiences rather than what it’s like in business per se (maybe because I’m not a business woman myself). I think it’s hard to rate a non-fiction book but I gave it four stars because of how much I related to it. I just wanted more from that personal point of view.

Just finished reading Britt’s book and I honestly don’t have the words. As someone who rarely enjoys reading, I didn’t expect to feel so connected—but wow, I couldn’t put it down.
Her honesty, humour, and the way she shares her story so openly hit me right in the heart. As a 22-year-old still figuring life out, this book made me feel seen and inspired. The letter to her younger self had me in tears… thinking about my own journey and what I’d say to my younger self.
Thank you Brittney for being real—for sharing your story, and for creating a space where people feel accepted. You’ve truly made an impact. I’m so excited to keep following your journey and everything that’s to come for FAYT 🤍
As someone who works in marketing (and has always been interested in knowing how Brit has created a brand like this with such a friendly and welcoming reputation), it was an incredibly interesting read. As someone with an interest in how businesses operate, it was fascinating to find out how someone in Australia can start a business from scratch. It was a very easy read, quick to power through, with some great images accompanying parts of the book.
Very easy to read and I definitely read it in Brittney’s ‘voice’. Haha. But I think if you’ve listened to her Big Business Podcast you don’t really need to read this book. I feel it’s one or the other and you’ll get the same information. As someone who’s followed Brittney from waaaay back in the day I was always going to support and buy the book but I would say give this book or suggest it to someone who doesn’t really know her or her story, introduce more people to Brittney and everything she has achieved.
I don’t often give books 5 stars but I loved reading this!!! I have been following Brit since her influencer days and have been so curious to shop at Fayt! Finally visited their Hawthorn store, as an Adelaidian who has no Fayt nearby (yet!)!!! I would have finished this book all in one sitting if I had the time ~ As a small business owner of a few years I could relate to so much of it and it just made me excited to keep pushing to do more and breaking more boundaries! Thanks Brit 💕💕💕
Read the first 50 pages of this standing in line at Fayt waiting to try on some clothes, read the remaining 200 pages in only 2 hours once I finally found the time to pick it back up. This was (obviously) so easy to read - I have always respected Brittney and her journey so found this really fun and interesting!
Decided not to give a rating given it’s a non fictional book about Britt’s life and journey. Is that a cop out? Maybe. Regardless, as a long time fayt customer and YouTube subscriber back in the day, I enjoyed reading the behind the scenes of the journey so far. I actually made a purchase from fayt while reading this lol. Anyway, peace out doggies
What a fun insight to one of my favourite clothing brands and someone I’ve followed for years (years and years) it’s interesting learning how things happen from someone who just *did* it and took the risk. Super fun read.
Loved this book, I am never one to read a book so quickly but I read it in the first two days I had it. Great writing, amazing story of starting from the bottom and working her way up in the fashion industry. Highly recommend.
after following Britt for the last 10 or so years and loving FAYT The Label clothing... i couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. it most definitely didn't disappoint.
Very easy read. I listen to almost every single one of Brittney’s podcasts so I felt like I had read a lot of the book already, as a lot of the topics in this book she talks about on the pod.
It was more about business than I thought it would be. I was really hoping to hear more about Brittney’s life story before the business. Hopefully she does write another book more about that!
Great overview of Brittney's life and how she got to where she is, but a lot I already knew from her podcast. I was expecting more of a business book than a memoir, but that's probably my fault!
I read this book in a single day, which is extremely rare for me, given my short attention span. That said, the book’s short length definitely helped. At first glance, it looks like a standard-length read, but that’s a bit of an illusion. Wide margins, full-page pull quotes that add little value, and even a few completely blank pages all padded the length.
Despite that, I genuinely enjoyed it; mostly because I’ve followed the author’s content for years across various platforms. It was refreshing to see her acknowledge that she didn’t build her success entirely from the ground up; she had an established audience, plus income from YouTube ads and brand deals, which gave her a significant head start. Her advice, while honest, isn’t exactly applicable to the average person trying to launch a business from scratch. To summarise Brittney’s advice: don’t hire friends or family, and Google is your best friend.
Still, I’d love to read more from her, especially a deeper dive into her personal story. As someone who also grew up near Newcastle, is around the same age, and had a similar upbringing, I find her incredibly relatable. I’d be really interested in a memoir-style book exploring those experiences.
