When the forever bachelor, Philip, is stopped in his tracks by a woman who, quite frankly couldn’t care less who he thinks he is, the man is knocked off kilter in a way he’s never experienced before. All he wants is one chance…one moment to show her what he’s offering. The question is…is he ready for what she’s bringing to the table?
Is realizing you never had it in the first place.
Raegyn’s on a search for the perfect benefactor. One who not only has the purse strings she’s looking for, but also can provide her with the perfect experience in the bedroom. Someone willing to give up the control she loves to wield. Philip is the last man she expects to meet that description, but maybe he’s just what the sugar baby ordered.
Lady Marie is the pen name of a thirty-something, DC native who is finally taking the plunge into writing contemporary romance. She has had a not-so-secret obsession with reading for as long as she can remember and a passion for creating worlds and telling stories that showcase just how beautiful Black love can be. When she’s not putting words to page, she can be found drinking a glass of wine, rewatching her comfort movies, reading the latest release from her favorite authors, or binging her current streaming obsession.
this was great wrap up to the Sugar and Spiced Series.
i loved Raegyn and her no nonsense attitude towards Philip and the the plot/conflict that continued from Sugar Coated Kisses.
I also loved the pleasure Domme representation and clear explanations and aftercare scenes, it reminded me a lot of the K movie Love and Leashes, which I throughly enjoyed.
Benji is still my favourite MC but Miss Raegyn was a complete other level. We honestly don't deserve her.
I really enjoyed this book. It was nice to get a different side of Philip. He didn’t seem to be so obnoxious anymore. Raegyn was good for him. That exchange of power softened him in a positive way. While I enjoyed their courtship, I was more invested in the fallout from his daughter’s secret relationship. I also enjoyed catching up with his friend group. It’s a little creepy for the whole squad to be in age gap relationships, but they made it seem sexy. I loved this whole series. I’m sad to see it end, but this was the perfect finale.
Ugh 😣, UNCLE‼️I know (x3), Author Lady Marie forewarned readers about the mature content of “Sweet Control (Sugared & Spiced - Book 4)”, however this book required a level of maturity (clearly I don’t possess) which defies biology, physics, psychology & philosophy …logic🥴🤯‼️This book wasn’t entertaining‼️ I don’t want to read the explicit intimate proclivities of anything or anyone: an individual, couples, ménage à trois etc. 🙂↔️🙅🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🥴‼️I envoke the on heck 👺no amendment of decency & the bylaws of cry UNCLE🤷🏾♀️‼️
This was so great. I enjoyed the dynamic between Raegyn and Philip a whole lot, and I really loved how Raegyn knew exactly what she wanted and she wasn’t going to compromise for anyone. This series was so hot and fun; I'm glad I picked them up.
I loved that the book started off hot and grabbed my attention immediately. Love the characters. Was too short for me. But definitely a great read. Recommend to anyone who loves hot and heavy sex descriptions. And a love story.
