Sean has not been lucky in love. The one woman who made him feel love for the first time is engaged to his brother Drake and while he tries to maintain the friendship it slowly kills him daily to see her but not be able to be with her. Drake has made many mistakes in his relationship and when he was in prison for protecting misty he meets Bree and invites her down to his hometown when he thinks that him and Misty are through. That is no longer the issue and when Bree shows up on his doorstep Sean tries to clean up his mess so as not to stress Misty out. What he isn’t anticipating is the punch in the gut he feels the minute he lays eyes on her. Bree has had a hellish relationship in the past that makes her leery of dating and men in general because of it. Sean however is persistent and finally convinces her to go out with him. Their first date does not go as planned since Sean ends up in the hospital instead of meeting Bree. Trying to figure out who is out to get him and keep Bree safe is no easy feat. Especially when the past comes back into Bree’s life as well. Danger seems to lurk around every corner for these two. Will they be able to face these challenges together and come out stronger as a couple? Or will all of the challenges prove to be too much for them? Will Sean finally get his happily ever after? Will Bree be able to open herself up to the idea of love after such a horrible experience the first time?

Finally, Sean's story!

Sean Mitchell, the bad boy between the brothers, finally gets his chance at love. Two broken hearts, that both are trying to leave their pasts behind to start fresh but the pasts have secrets. Breann has trust issues but her past catches up with her present and Sean needs to get over his brother's pregnant girlfriend. Will Sean be able to move on from the feelings he has from Misty? Will Breann be able to trust again? Will Drake and Misty have their happily ever after?

The Defective concludes the amazing Flawed series of the love triangle between Misty, Drake, and Sean. Find out the conclusion of this amazing series!

I loved this book. I am still on team Drake but I love Sean as well! I am glad Sean found happiness and I believe that Bree is the one for him. Lara Henley is an amazing writer. I am truly glad to have found her books. I have loved everything I have read by her and look forward to reading everything she writes in the future. I am sad to see this series end I will miss reading about Drake, Misty and Sean!

This is the best book of the entire series, and Sean is by far my favorite character, and the one to whom I can relate the most, which I like in a character. I highly recommend this excellent book by my favorite author Lara Henley.

I loved this book. It was nice to see Sean finally find someone that he loves the way Drake loves Misty. It had both drama and love. It was a great conclusion to the series. But I'm sad that its the end of the series.
