~Dark Fantasies: Book 2 of the Fantasy Diary Series.~
One kiss was all it took.
Between work, family and her ex-boyfriend, Ashley Blakely is completely stressed out. She doesn’t have time to write in her fantasy diary or compete in the annual ‘fantasy wish’ competition her and her sisters have going. The only thing she wants for Christmas is normalcy.
All hope of a normal Christmas… or life… fly out the window the moment she’s kissed by Kelan Grant. Now she’s swept up in a whirlwind of romance, seduction and danger. She wants no part of this new life. Yet once she finds out that her sisters and her best friend are in jeopardy, she will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Even allow herself to be kidnapped and handcuffed by a devil in disguise.
Dr. Kelan Grant always keeps his word. The moment he lays eyes on Ashley, he vows she will be his for eternity. He doesn’t care that his brother is mated to her sister and wants to keep their real heritage a secret from the Blakely family. Kelan will do whatever it takes to claim his bride.
Kidnapping her is the easy part. Winning her heart is going to take some strategic planning. But between the dark angels stalking him and Ashley’s constant need to break every item in his home, Kelan is having a hard time romancing the woman who he feels already belongs to him.
Will he get the eternity with Ashley he’s envisioned? Or will his enemies snatch her from his grasp and awaken the monster he tries to hide?
Hi, my name is Siren Allen. I’m a writer and lover of all things erotic and romantic. I reside in southern Mississippi where I write steamy romances that are guaranteed to make you blush. When I’m not listening to the characters in my head and jotting down their adventures, I am busy working as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.
I love to travel, preferably with my husband, so he can do all of the driving. I enjoy time with my family, who are just as silly as I am. I have no children…yet, wish me luck! My hobbies are reading, writing and shopping, though I hate trying on clothing. If I wasn’t a writer or a Laboratory Professional, I would probably be a Secret Agent. But that’s the beauty of being a writer; you can create your own world and be whoever you want to be. In my imaginary world, I am Queen and my siblings are my minions.
I really enjoyed the first book. So I was excited to start this book. It goes back to around the time that Alyssa mates with Devin but through Ashley, Kelan’s and Tinsley’s POV.
Ashley has sworn off men after her ex Paul broke up with her, but now Paul wants her back. She’s at the gas station and a weird man comes to her and sniffs her hair. Little does she know that man is her mate.
Kelan is half vampire/half incubus. Separated at birth he found one of his brothers in Florida, but then fines his other brother a few years later. Nobody wants the three brothers to bond because then that means the Apocalypse will begin. All Kelan wants is for his mate to accept him.
Tinsley is the witch prophesized to help the Angels destroy the three brothers. Though she might be having second thoughts.
When I read the excerpt for this book in Christmas Fantasies I knew Ashley would be one of those leading laies who would piss me off. I wasn’t wrong. She loyal to the people she care about, but I felt she was more concerned about living out her fantasies. Kelan didn’t deserve that and when she went off on Devin because off Allyssa, I really wanted to slap her. She was the type that her way is better and to hell what everybody thinks.
Though Kelan thought of himself as a monster, he was still sweet to Ashley and would do anything for her. Don’t get me wrong though I had issues with Ashley, the story was fast paced and action pack and like the first one steamy sex scenes. I can’t wait to read Jackson’s story.
I waited to write my reviews of this series after I finished all three books. I came upon this series through the Once Upon a Villians series. That series led me to book 3, then I saw it was the third in a three-part series and decide to read the entire series.
I will admit I assumed the MFC in this book would be Black since the MFC in book 3 is Black (and all the MFCs in Once Upon a Villian are too). I don’t usually read paranormal romance/fiction that does not center Black women. Nevertheless, I gave it a try.
This was my least favorite installment in the series. The MFC was irritating, ridiculously annoying and stubborn. The MMC was more interesting but only because of his tie to the through-plot of the series. In the end, I didn’t care if they got together or not. I think even the author got bored with them because about 3/4 of the way through, she starts telling the story of the MFC of book 3. I even found myself asking, “is this Ashley’s story or Tinsley’s?” (Additionally, several parts are a retelling of events from book 1.)
As for the the through-plot of the series, we learn more about the brothers and the world they are apart of as they discover it for themselves. The world building was not strong, but it is the first of three (so far) and the MMC did not know his origin, so the audience learned along with him and his brothers.
All in all, it wasn’t horrible and you might need it to tie the other two books together (especially what happens to Tinsley) but it isn’t very entertaining.
I got familiar with this author on kindle Vella and it’s really good so I checked out her other work. Now book one was good book two wasn’t. It was too repetitive for me. I had to skip ahead several chapters to get to an area that was not explained in book one. I believe book two should have started off from the Christmas Eve party and back track to the sex scene, we already knew how they met, that he broke into her home, when and how the brothers met etc. I am still going to give this author another chance being that kidnapping a vampire is so good but I will not read book 3 or 4 of this series
This was an ok read. Ashley really worked my nerves something serious. The story seemed dragged out with her back and forth for no reason. She wanted Kelan but was always acting like she didn't. The story didn't get interesting until the last couple of chapters and that just makes me look forward to book three.💜💜
Oh my the Beast never looked so good💦💦💦. I am in love with this series. I have to admit I wanted to strangle Ashley the whole book, but I also sort of understood her also. Fear is a mofo and can really cock things up. I couldn't put this book down ❣️
Title: DARK FANTASIES Series: Fantasy Diary #2 Category /Genre: Erotic Paranormal Romance Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content Received from: Siren Allen (in exchange for an honest review) Grammar/editing: A – near perfect
This is the second book in the Fantasy Diary series. It partially parallels the time-frame of Christmas Fantasy, and they do need to be read in order.
Dr. Kelan Grant is truly ruled by his beast. He tries, he will go days living on the blood of animals, only to have his beast take over and sadistically claim a human life in its exuberance. Then he scents her. She will tame his beast. For her, he and his beast will agree. For her, they will do anything… even kidnap her to convince her that she is theirs. Ashley Blakely, one of Alyssa’s sisters, doesn’t have time to deal with a new man while dealing with an ex who is now her boss, the Christmas season, and secret second job. She especially doesn’t have time to deal with a new man who is into sniffing her hair!
I love, love, love both Kelan and Ashley. Even while admitting her overwhelming attraction to him, Ashley fights the whole situation every step of the way. The insight given into the dark angels and their mission was inventive and frightening parallels most terrorist organizations believing they are saving the world.
I cannot wait to see where Siren Allen’s imagination will take us next!

I give it 5 fangs.
Dark Fantasies by Siren Allen is the second book in the Fantasy Diary series. I highly suggest to read the first book in the series “Christmas Fantasy” first. I would suggest this book for mature adults only.
We first learn about Ashley and Kelan in the first book. They know that fate has picked them to be mates. But Ashley believes no one but her picks her destiny. She fight the feelings she has for Kelan. Kelan just doesn’t know what to do to win Ashley over. Everything he does seems to backfire on him. Will Ashley give in to fate?
We learn more about Tinsley and Jackson. We all knew they would be mates, but that doesn’t seem to be what is going to happen. There are several surprises in store for Tinsley.
Without giving away any more spoilers, if you like paranormal and erotica, then you will love this book. I can’t wait for book 3.
From the beginning of the prologue I was intrigued. Kelan's battle with his "dark passenger" was a call to my withdraw from a favorite show that use to use the same terminology. Plus, the questionable debate can Beauty love the Beast? The first two chapters further my belief that fighting with exes are never a good thing, let alone if your boss is your ex, and he's a total douche! I was further pulled into the story because I could relate to Ashley's struggle with swearing off men. I really liked the different perspectives within the book, I think the book expresses the main protagonists well, and works well to intertwine the different characters. By the thirteenth chapter, I was hooked and was dying over Ashley's "dream"; that was a wonderful dream!
If you enjoy reading about Vampires, Witches, and toe curling good story telling, check out Siren Allen's Dark Fantasies, you won't regret it.
The author has done it again. This is the second book in the fantasy series. I love Ashley, she is not your average damsel in distress. She has spunk. Kelan is tougher and rougher then his brother too. I really like them together because they an both give as good as they get. I think the steam in this series is just enough to go with the paranormal story line. Sometimes it goes to far and overshadows but the author has done a great job of balancing them both. These books should be read in order in my opinion and believe me you wont regret it.
Siren Allen’s “Dark Fantasies” is the super sexy second book in her Fantasy Diary series. You can read it as a standalone (I read #2 first), but trust me, book #1 and #2 are so good, you’ll want to read them both as they tell different bits of the story from another point of view. I like the storyline and there’s a great ensemble cast of characters. The nookie scenes are hot, hot, hot! Who wouldn’t love to have an incubus in the sack? The mythology is interesting and I’m waiting to see how it all turns out. Both of the books need a smidge more copy editing.
