This is a psychological thriller done right. This isn't detective vs bad guy, this man vs their own darkness. The book's own backdrop works beautifully, dropping small little hints of the madness that is brewing.

I was frankly smitten with the starting character Lisa who becomes the core reason there is a manhunt. That girl could of had her own series, if she didn't end up a victim. That's what I like about this book, you really get lost with the characters.

The book has three characters whose lives we see play out in this book. Karen and Peewee two characters who I adore, they both share a bound that can not be explain, there could not be one without the other. And it's great banter to see from both of them. The wanna be private sleuths who break all the laws without having a license. The ones who end up taking a case, the one that puts them in the sights of the serial killer lurking around the city.

The other character is Brian Klecko (hoped I spelled his name right) the man is a detective with the NYPD, his story is a man falling from grace and you see him battle it through each page. He's a hit and miss for me in the 1st arch, but he does get his wings when we see him become...well, let's just say he ain't shy in getting dirty.

The serial killer in the story is taking woman to pace his perfect woman, hence the name. His first victim in the book (but there were others, we just got to see it) is Lisa. The police have no clue this killer is loose in the city, because he covers his tracks and makes the authorities think these woman have just uprooted their lives and left. He's a real control freak, clever, smart and uses people for his own gain. His story is left to wonder, but all the characters have a tie to him which was mind blowing as we reached the end.

The characters all have a shadow over them, something that brought them all to New York, which will end with everyone crossing their paths. It's emotional, with a mighty big plus.

This book should of been a series, there's a lot of story, and I was left wanting more. All in all you won't be let down. Really worth the treat, hoping there's a follow up.

The tale opens up with a daughter-mother conversation. Everything seems so perfect and innocent. But that first chapter ends with a smack; the reply the love-struck woman gets from the old lady on the subway jolts you and sets the tone for the rest of the book.

The characters are wonderfully flawed. In one section, the author even states that there are no heroes or villains, just people trying to get by. Even the police officers wrestle with the demons they have summoned from exposure to the worst humanity has to offer. The crude and explicit dialog paints how people talk in decayed urban settings.

This is not a procedural tale; it is not about police detectives solving a crime. The protagonists are disenfranchised youths that chase crime scenes for fun. The plot lines splinter, develop, and come together in a pitched finale that won’t disappoint.

I’ll mention that even though the language and formatting is imperfect, it did not detract from the tale. The prose has a cadence commensurate with crime thrillers. Slang and urban jargon are usually distorted and imperfect anyways, so in this capacity, you could chose to view it as a dose of authenticity, as I did.

Crazy doesn't describe this book, the scenes which the killer is doing harm to his victims can be hard to bare at times, but at the same time I enjoyed reading a book that didn't hold back. The first act is by far the strong part of the novel, it builds, it setups. Karen and Peewee steal the show for me, they are no doubt the lighter side to a dark book.

The second act of the book felt a bit long, which didn't hurt the book, just brought in new elements which at times felt like this book could have been broken into two different books, to do them justice. Klecko the cop was done well, this was more about his part in the whole story.

The third act is done beautifully, it feels it all comes to together and pays off big time. This was a great read, the story is done beautifully.
If you want dark, strange and love serial killers just dive in!

One crazy insane thriller. You're pulled into this false sense of a happy go lucky girl name Lisa, then *BAM* you're tossed into this bizarre land of misfits, with serial killer lurking his way into the hearts of women, harvesting their body parts.

This is not, I repeat not for people looking for censored story. The guy writing this really goes all in and it's insane! 5-stars in my book, story is what matters and this brought the hammer down.

So I finally found the nerve the complete this book. I'm not great with suspense or thriller but it grasped my attention. I needed to know every character's story and why they were placed in each other's path. I didn't expect the ending and was sad to see I finished the book, all too soon.

I love psychological thrillers, and The Perfect Woman was an absolutely crazy ride from start to finish. The characters are so well written — flawed, real, and messy in that very human way that makes you lean in closer. What I appreciated most is that this isn’t a simple hero vs. villain story. It’s about people just trying to get by, making choices (good and bad) that feel painfully believable.

The tension builds beautifully, the layers peel back at just the right pace, and every twist made me rethink what I thought I knew. It’s gripping, emotional, and the kind of thriller that sticks with you because the characters feel like people you might actually know.

If you love psychological suspense with depth, nuance, and a few wild turns, this is one you shouldn’t miss.

Potential

This book has the potential of being a lot more. Interesting plot. Liked the conclusion. Read the book slower than the last two. The Fairy Godmother of Jesse Abundis is a personal favorite.

This was a darker read then I typically read but definitely worth it! It definitely sucks you in from the first chapter. So it had me hooked from there. It also had some great twists and turns! The ending was just wow to me! I look forwarding to checking out more books by this author.

What did I just read? The entire book was saturated with grammatical errors, the plot was way out there and the characters are a joke! I want my time spent reading this drivel back.
