The Birthday

Rate this book
A mission is supposed to be just that. A mission.

As an assassin, I'm not supposed to be obsessed with my assignment.
Definitely not when he is a serial killer well known for his ways to kill.
Absolutely not when he is the enemy.
Totally not when I know that a fight with him is my death sentence.

But universe has its own plans by putting us in the same room for as long as he desires.
And me? All I do is desire him.

The Birthday is erotica prequel to InLove Book 2.

About the author

Silva Graves

Silva Graves is a dark fantasy and romance author from India with an unhealthy obsession for reading romance books (and fictional men). From her childhood, she has spent more time imagining and creating stories upon stories, and yes, what used to be stories of a queen and a king, Barbie, and a girl saving the world, has now updated to romance.
In all her daydreaming, she is usually in new worlds with her fictional characters and random scenarios. She loves morally grey female characters and their love interest that definitely belong in hell.
Besides writing books, she loves to sleep, write poems (hoping she'll publish a poetry book someday), dance, listen to music, binge watch, read, make edits and did someone mention sleeping or not?

“You need to stop staring at me like that.” I tell him.
“Like what?”
“Like I’m some problematic puzzle you can’t solve.”
His expression changed just enough for me to see that I’ve hit something true. “You are,” he says quietly. “A problem. I don’t know why I’m still here. I don’t know why I’m talking to you. I don’t know why I haven’t walked away.”
“Because you don’t want to.”
“No. I don’t.”

I seriously could NOT have enough of Adrik and Saaya! Saaya has the most hilarious monologue, and the "voices" in her head definitely add to it. I know this isn't the last book in the One Night series, but I just know that Adrik is gonna be my favorite among them all.

The novella starts a few hours before the clock strikes midnight, when she turns eighteen. Our FMC Saaya is an assassin, and while she may do a great job at kicking ass and taking lives, she's also just a girl, and when sudden rain causes her to take shelter in shade, guess who else is there, waiting for the rain to get over so that he can go his way 🤭

The tension between those two? 🤌❤️‍🔥 Saaya is wayy stronger than me, because I would have melted into a puddle right there, right in front of him.

Love it!

This novella was literally insane 😭The tension between them from the very start was everything.
I loved Saaya. Her inner monologue and the little voices in her head made the story even more entertaining and funny at times. Both were curious and obsessed with each other since start. The after club scene was so funny.
Their chemistry was actually crazy. Every interaction had me freaking out. The obsession, the danger, the banter, the way he looks at her I loved every second of it.
The story was quick and addictive and honestly. And the ending I need to know what happened!!
