Perfection was expected. We were Ares by name, ruin by birthright. A family built on power. Love. Lies. Until she came. The sister we didn’t want. The secret we couldn’t bury. The liar who smiled while everything burned. One night. Two caskets. And the truth? Still breathing. Now it’s on me to find it. And all roads lead back to her. Angelica. She has nowhere left to run. No mother to hide behind. No father to exile her. Just us. And I don’t want her confessions. I want her on her knees. I’ll make her talk. Make her scream. Until I don’t just crave the truth— I crave her. Even if it kills us both.
Tropes: Secret Society Taboo (they’re her adopted brothers) WhyChoose Billionaire
This book definitely leans toward the darker side, which I enjoyed. I loved the Blood Ties series, and this feels like a natural offshoot of that world. It sets up book two nicely—with a major cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more.
That said, I did find parts of the story a bit repetitive. I’m hopeful that book two will pick up the pace and move the plot forward more dynamically. I also wasn’t completely sold on the FMC in this installment, but I have a feeling she’ll show more backbone and development in the next book.
I received this as an ARC, and I’m so excited to be at the start of this new series journey.
i need the next book asap!!!! atlas knows how to keep us hooked and on edge from the start.. Silas Theo Jude and Gabe had their life going upside down the moment Angelica joined their family as their stepsister.. i want to see more of london st james and the others .i mean who understands the order better then them right?who brought the Order to their knees? there is something creepy abt their uncle Lincoln ares and whoever is behind the voices in her head...
i am an old reader and a big fan of a.k rose's writings since she started this world book1 "Mine" bloodties till now can't wait for Crawl .
Their parents have recently been killed..looks like a murder suicide but their sons don’t accept that. Silas as the eldest son is also the angriest and now in charge of his family. Theo checks out most of the time with his love of cocaine, Jude is a watcher…always curious but never quite going that far, and Gabe is the baby brother. Angelica is the adopted daughter that their mother wanted but the eldest brothers hate. Gabe adores her and they are really close, but the rest of them think she’s a liar. Only when they start to question her about anything she might’ve seen that night does her babbling about being Owned throw them all. They’ve heard of the Order and that London St. James took it down, but Angelica isn’t making any sense. When Carven turns up and takes her to London after Jude and Gabe say that Silas and Theo have broken her, they can all see that something else is at play here. Her brainwash-programming goes deeper than anything they’ve seen before. As for Silas and his brothers, they want to deal with it all themselves, privately, and have the cruel streaks to enjoy it… Back in the land of the Order… Angelica has been brainwashed even more than before… Her adoptive brothers are determined to get to the truth no matter what. Featuring Cameos from London, his sons and Vivienne plus her sister and her men…yes please!! A fabulous new story that drops hints and bits and pieces, but the stories are like jigsaws that have to fit together. A superb start.
OMG! What a story. I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down, I admit I only moved for more coffee and to let my dogs out. I finished it in one go. We are following Angelica and her foster brothers after they tragically lose their parents. Secrets start to be uncovered and tensions grow between her and her brothers. There wasn’t a dull moment. I felt for Angelica, her struggles broke my heart. Gabe was by far the best brother in my eyes, supportive and didn’t let her be alone. The action throughout was intense, and with that cliffhanger I need to read the next one asap.
Crave is a brutal, obsessive, emotionally devastating descent into the kind of dark romance that ruins you and leaves you wanting more.
Angelica is broken. Her pain is visceral. She is both in the present but haunted by her past. And the men, her brothers, hate and despise her with all their power. They detest her. Can’t stand to look at her. But want her all the same. They are so conflicted that it hurts.
Silas. Theo. Gabe. Jude. Each of them unravels in their own way. Silas is possession and obsession in human skin. Theo is rage turned worship. Gabe is gentle but turns into hunger. Jude is the silence that watches everything burn.
This isn’t your standard “dark romance.” This is emotional sadism, mind manipulation, palpable hatred and rage enemies-to-lovers. This is trauma stitched with sex, power, and obsession. If you are looking for smut right from the first page this isn’t for you, you have to wait for it, beg for it.
If you love: • bully romance but dialed to 1000% tension • psychosexual domination • morally gray men who would unalive for you • true enemies to lovers - and even then still enemies • slow-burn tension that actually burns • and plots that whisper “You’re mine, even if you don’t want it ”
This is it.
Thank you, A.K. Rose, for destroying me again.
I will never look at the word “Owned” the same again.
A Delightfully Twisted Read A very dark mafia, bully, reverse harem with stepbrothers. My TOP!
I was hooked from the beginning. It's like watching a train wreck—you can't look away, or in this case, you can’t stop reading.
I'm still processing everything that happened... and the cliffhanger? The cherry on top.
This book feels like being on a roller coaster with no seatbelt. There’s always something happening—not always good (ish?)—and often so twisted that it’s both thrilling and disturbing in the best possible way.
It’s a fast burn, packed with so much action.
It’s hard to say for sure what the FMC is like. As the story unfolds, nothing is as it seems. The questions pile up, and even the FMC struggles to understand who she really is. But one thing is clear to me: she’s a survivor.
Her stepbrothers—at least three of them—act like spoiled children throwing tantrums. Seriously, she didn’t ask for any of this! The rage they direct at her is just ridiculous. The fourth one, though—he’s the only one who consistently stands by her side.
I had to take breaks just to calm my nerves, but I kept coming back, desperate to find out what would happen next. Is this when everything will start to make sense? Will the pieces finally come together? Well… nope. I’ll have to wait for the next book. I’m on pins and needles!
Atlas Rose I am a lifetime reader of yours!! Crave was highly anticipated (by me!!) After little gems dropped in Blood Ties series. Read in this order:
Mine Blood Ties 1 Hers Blood Ties 2 Ours Blood Ties 3 Owned Blood Ties 4 Traded Blood Ties 5 Claimed Blood Ties 6 Forbidden Blood Ties 7 Captured Blood Ties 8 Consumed Blood Ties 9
You can read this as a new standalone series but I recommend reading Blood Ties first. Crave Blood Secrets 1
I was emerged in Crave from the first page. It holds so many secrets… I will be here for the whole series thats a given. The Order , The secrets, OBEY ……
You know you need to check you triggers. Please check your triggers if you aren't sure. I telling you this is a VERY DARK SERIES.. NO jokes. Do not come swinging at the author for taboo’s. You have been warned. It's excellent writing. A very Emotionally charged read and Addictive.
Paper back available on Amazon and Digital coming but in currently on the Authors website:
There are so many secrets in the Ares family and most of them are tied to Angelica. What is she hiding? It stinks of The Order but the boys have no idea what that means.
The Ares boys are fighting demons, grief, the cartel, their feelings about their so-called sister and unknown enemies. They are trying to stay a unit but so much is getting in the way.
The entire book had me tense. my shoulders were up at my ears and a knot in my stomach for the entire book there was no relief … hopefully the next book will not only offer relief but give us answers.
After one year of a reading slump and finding nothing to satiate the literal and ironic craving for more of The Order and messed up world, Crave popped up. It is delicious, dark and suspenseful in typical AK Rose fashion. Keeps you hooked from page 1. 4 hateful brothers, 1 “sister”. The Ares family is more twisted than any other family in this world. They want to know what secrets Angelica knows and why she hides them. It’s a ride.
15/10.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to be apart of the ARC team!!
Huge fan of A.K. Rose and her books. Especially love the special edition books. I have the ARC and Store version of this book. Like many of her books, this one is another good one. I did have a little difficulty following along with some of the plot because I think some part were brought up in awkward moments. Not enough for me to now finish it or want to read the next story. I look forward to see how the story progresses from here and just how intense it will get. Knowing A.K. Rose, she won’t disappoint.
I really liked this book. It's very dark but flows really nicely and is a really smooth read. I have to say I have read the Blood Ties Series, but I find this one to be a bit darker than them. Angelica's story is a rough go for her and her adoptive brothers and how they treated her. I am looking forward to finding out more about her history with The Order. this does end on a cliffhanger, so be prepared, but definitely check it out.
I need more! I need Crawl to be released! I need Capture to be released!! I HATE THE SUSPENSE! So intense, kept me on my seat with anticipation or bouncing up and down like a little kid with excitement! WHO IS THE SHADOW MAN!? Who are these people!? A.K. Rose, you are a beautiful author for dark romance! Please don’t stop writing! I love your work and I recommend you to all my girlies!
amazing! could not put down. this dark romance is perfect for anyone who love enemies to lovers and bully romances. themes are dark so check triggers. story in its self is dark and omf I can't wait for the next book bc obviously it's left on a cliffhanger.
This is a dark romance and it is a dark bully read. This book had me on an intense chokehold throughout this book. This book has so many questions that need to be answered and leaves me on the edge of a dark cliff. I enjoyed this first book and can’t wait for the next book.
3.5 stars. I really liked the blood ties series, but I wasn’t as into this book. I’m hoping book 2 of this series is better than book 1. It feels like most of the book was just setting up the plot for book 2.
A why choose romance with adopted siblings that could have been great, but I was mostly stuck in a state of confusion 🧐 The pacing and backstory had me checking twice if I’d skipped a book… or three. Not sure if I’ll pick up the next book 🤸♀️
Okay just a quick note- I love Atlas rose! Blood ties is my favorite series EVER. This one however fell a bit flat for me. I wish there was more dialogue between the characters. It felt a bit rushed. With that aside, I will continue on for sure!
I want to know more!! when is the next book coming? I didnt think i could love another dynamic in the world surrounding The Order but here i am CRAVING more from The Ares siblings!
