I am so very thankful for each new circle book. It's like when good friends stop in for a visit. I want to know what each has been up to and am excited about the changes since last time. The bible references bless my heart.
Granny had been a guiding force for the women in Smicksburg. She started a knitting circle of hurting women and each one was blessed as they learned how to care for onesnother other.
Another one that's well worth the read. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys Amish fiction and wants to learn things as they are entertained.
Amish Knit and Stitch Circle is the fourth book written by Karen Anna Vogel in her Smicksburg Tales series. I once again enjoyed this book that continues the story of Granny Weaver and her little women. Granny is very outspoken for an Amish woman but she also knows when her husband the Bishop tells her to take a step back she does.
In this book Granny has decided that a new girl in town, Lottie, needs a husband to help her overcome her shyness. For a shy woman Lottie talks alot. But that's the problem she talks to much. Jeb, Granny's husband, encourages Granny to let God work his ways but Granny thinks she can help things along.
When fire destroys Granny's woods who could have started it? is someone against Granny having friendships with the English or could it be the three boys in the Baptist home for unwanted boys? Granny is devastated but refuses to accuse anyone. What does the Knitting Circle do to help Granny with her fears?
I highly recommend this book to all those who love the Amish genre. There is romance, loss, and faith all discussed in several smaller storylines in this book. I have rated this book with five stars for a wonderful addition to the series. I will be watching for the next book in this series to see what happens next.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. All opinions and statements expressed are strictly my own.
Congratulations to Karen Anna Vogel on another wonderful book that continues this series forward.
