Another strong showing from Alan Spencer. His versatility and range is very impressive, as shown with his wide variety of offerings. Now, this followed a very comparable formula to movies like Aliens and basically any concept where a team of heavy hitters is sent in to neutralize some unknown threat. Aliens, cryptids, other abominations, it's all very similar. And Alan Spencer did a great job keeping this action-packed and utilized the creature feature idea. However, what I really liked above everything else was the added depth to Conrad, Duke, and Henry. Lots of fantastic family dynamics there that played out beautifully but never outweighed the severity of the threats at hand. I felt like it took a backseat midpoint, and the story could have benefitted further from having featured the family members a bit more, but that was my only critique here. A very fun outing with a talented author that should have general appeal for science fiction and horror fans alike.

Big issue with consistency

Was interesting premise, but was a bit repetitive. some of the actions were pretty far fetched and not entirely cohesive. made for interesting read though, and once started I didn't stop till finished!

What a great book. I absolutely loved it.
monsters, good guys, bad guys. If you thought JAWS was keeping you out of the water, read LAMPREYS. I will never get in the ocean/sea...ever.

Not what I thought it would be. But it was pretty good. A good read any way and a good idea.
