Hey you know what’s annoying…..THIS SERIES GOD DAMNT. Book 1, turns out it was all a freaking vision, the whole book was just a possible scenario which pissed me off immediately but I was too invested to stop so boom, I go book 2. And now here I am, just trying to figure out how we are going to kill all the zombie dragons with everybody dying around me AGAIN. For fucks sake……just downloaded book 3 you bitch. And I’m back- you only get one more book from me you fucker.

I’m a little disappointed. I gave book one a 5 ⭐️ review! I even had a theory because of how book 1 ended. My theory was nowhere close. If anything book 2 made me dislike the FL. I was also annoyed with the ML.
😒 If you’re reading this you probably read book 1.
Proceed with caution spoilers below of both book 1 and 2. . . . . . Ok. Book 1 had that twist ending. Which gave me thoughts. My theory. Because of the ending I thought it was the drive for any things. The authors choice of speed, little info on the clans, especially the black clan. The story was just ML and group going to collect a prisoner. Taking orders. Sprinkled with events and minimal character development and slow burn. I get the premise, so I thought it was because of it all being a vision that it was sorta vague. Charter placements and jumping of days was also off. 🤷🏻♀️
Book2 was not what I expected. Starts with the FL in a castle doing a dragon clan bachelorette, with no memory and being drugged. Book 1 was one possible outcome. Book 2 is what happened when the ML didn’t get the prisoner. So leaves the question who else picked up the FL? It’s mentioned the place guards are terrible. What was the purpose for the order? The council had a capable group why send the messenger back and forth to the ML? Where is the messenger? He flew back to the capital. How did no one recognize the prince of the black clan (ML) posing as a guard to the FL? ABOVE ALL why???? The land is full of crawlers (zombies) including dead dragons. Why are there clans? These are a few questions I have 🫤
The FL was so flipping annoying. This story doesn’t have a strong female lead. She was docile and submissive! Her inner monologue was like a teen. Even after regaining memories she somehow can’t leave because that’s not expected of her? Even after knowing she was being drugged to keep her from remembering anything and to control her. She had almost zero info on why she was there. She’s the queens daughter and she has not reaction or desire to meet her? There’s a lot of her looking down and staying quiet…. Looks like she needs way more development. She seemed a little better in the 1 book. She may develop in the 3rd book.
The Male lead remembers the vision and went to the capital to get the FL. But he doesn’t tell her. He posses as a guard. He’s watching her parading with different clan dudes. Because she doesn’t remember him or anything. Yeah, but no one recognizes him 🙄 or the other side characters. He waisted soooo much time hoping she remembers him and chooses him. Like WHAT? How does that make sense? He tells her to stop taking the stupid potion! He knew if she stoped she would get better. He could have taken her and she would have detoxed. AND! They’re mates! That’s established at the end of book1. Plus obvious.
Sigh. The whole book was just ugh. It’s more for a beginner just enterning this reading genre. I gave it a chance. Not for me. I do give the author thanks for pulling me out of my reading slump. The ending to book 1 really had my brain going! 😁
Dragons shifters, dragon zombies, and a dash of Groundhogs day. It sounds like an absolutely crazy combination, but somehow, Lina Ravenhill makes it work. But we get another epic cliffhanger!! Alina is told she must choose a husband, but how can she when she is constantly sick and has pieces of her memory missing. Tynan, due to his vision, is the only one who remembers. He remembers his mate, Alina, and the attacks of undead dragons ( and enemy no one knows of). He takes a position as Alina's guard, hoping once again the mating bond will appear. I loved seeing Alina and Tynan fall in love all over again, but Frid and Victor ( yes, I know they're not the main characters) had me so frustrated. I needed back together.
Damn those cliffhangers! But OMG i loved hearing more of Alina & Tynan. I love the world building Lina creates and cannot wait for more. I giggled and teared up and she always leaves me wanting more!
Well this was essentially a repeat of what happened in book one but with Alina having lost her memory of what happened before. Then it appears the previous memory was a dream or a prophecy of what might happen. Not really explained very well. So I admit I skipped a lot of this as it seemed to drag on and on with Alina drugged and sleeping through half of the book! It livened up at the end but then it seemed as the battle against the zombie dragons seemed much the same as before as well. I'm going to finish the series just to find out what happens to Alina, Tynan, Frid and Victor but it is a struggle.
If you're craving dragons, zombies, slow-burn romance, and high-stakes fantasy wrapped in emotional depth, Bloodbond is exactly what you want on your shelf (or your Kindle).
As a YA fantasy lover who lives for immersive worldbuilding and characters that make your heart ache, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This sequel to Firebond picks up right where we were left—absolutely reeling—and dives straight into mystery, memory loss, and forbidden yearning.
Our heroine, heir to the Red Queen, is forced to play political games with an evil council breathing down her neck while trying to piece together her past—and her connection to the intense, watchful dragonborn warrior who clearly knows more than he’s saying. The chemistry? Slow burn perfection. The emotional tension? Chef’s kiss.
Ravenhill weaves in themes of destiny, found family, and trust with a great mix of action and aching romance. There’s a bit of a slower pace in parts, but the payoff is totally worth it. And yes—there’s another cliffhanger that left me wide-eyed and whispering no way to my book like a crazy person.
What you'll love: -Dragons (hot ones) -Zombies (terrifying ones) -Amnesia + fated mates = emotional chaos -Political intrigue & deception -Friendships that actually matter -An MC trying to fall in love all over again
This one hit all my fantasy sweet spots and set up the next book to be an absolute rollercoaster. I'm not emotionally prepared—but I can't wait.
This author has a way of making a cliffhanger ending that is absolutely INSANE.
I wrote in my review for book 1 that I wasn’t sure if I would continue on with this series, and though the cliffhanger makes me wonder what the heck will happen next, I don’t think that I can see this series through. Book 2 felt almost to me like the author had two concepts for a book and couldn’t decide on one so she said “what if I make the FMC forget everything and make it into an alternate version that could happen?”. I think that book 2 was a little too repetitive for me without a whole lot actually being accomplished. But I think something else I realized in this book is that the FMC constantly is the one throwing herself at the MMC and instead of communicating with her or confessing his feelings, he just expects her to figure out what he is feeling all of the time. Like dude.. get off your high horse and actually talk to her. You’d think that someone who had seen this alternate timeline where he loses everyone he loves would make it to where he wouldn’t want to squander his time with the people he cares about 🙄.
Though the ending was a total cliffhanger, I would like to just imagine how I would want the events to go and not feel like I am moving in circles with no end in sight throughout the rest of this series 🥲
The worst crime a book can commit is being boring. It can be absolute shit, but as long as I’m entertained, I will read it to the end and give it the praise it’s due.
I wouldn’t say it lost the plot, but it’s currently playing at 0.1x speed, which feels like a repeat of book 1, where nothing happened in the second half until the last chapter. I'm not going to keep reading for a little bit of action 98% into the book.
Also, they weren’t necessarily plot holes, but I have actual questions about how this world functions. Most of the current living population is holed up in this city, but they don’t notice the dragon flying into the literal princess’s window every night? Security who? Since they have a bajillion other dragons, you're telling me they couldn’t spare one to keep the skies secure and guard her? They are literal dragons, surely at least one of them would figure out that flying would be the number one way to intrude the palace?
Also, what is his skill set to be assigned as her bodyguard? No background check? And given his dubious origins, they’re then allowed to be by themselves with no other supervision? It just makes no logical sense.
The second story was just as impressive as the first. This story featured Alina more than Ty .Her struggles with the capital and all of the people trying to force her into something she does not want to do. What measures they go through is heartbreaking. I loved how Tynan protects her the best he can.
Well written , lots of suspense, action packed- some edge of your seat.
I loved their discoveries, about themselves and the zombies. I also liked that some of the visions Ty had from the first book came true in this one but just a little different.
There is steam to the eventual romance. Death of one of the members to there little group. And a very daring cliffhanger. I would suggest reading the first book to get a feel for the who everyone is. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
She’s back with dragons and zombies! Add to that some slow burn, some yearning, fated mates, friendships and an evil council trying to deceive the country. This story has it all!
It’s the sequel to the amazing “Firebond” which ended in a cliffhanger that left me speechless and gaping like a fish. I’ve been waiting to get my hands on this story!
Even though this book isn’t as fast paced as the first book in the series, this book feels like the build up to the bang!
I know I wrote in my review of ”Firebond” that I felt there was so much more that would unravel in this world, and I wasn’t wrong. There is a lot of small things spreading out, touched but not explored yet. There is a lot of promise for what comes next.
Bloodbond is the kind of sequel that slows down just enough to deepen your emotional investment before everything explodes.
Alina and Tynan’s story had me hooked all over again only this time, Alina doesn’t remember anything, and the pain of that hits hard. Tynan’s fierce loyalty and quiet heartbreak made me root for him every step of the way.
It’s more about emotional stakes and slow-burn connection than pure action, but it sets the scene beautifully for what’s to come. Add in court politics, a corrupted council, the undead crawling closer, and a romance fighting against time and this fantasy world just gets better.
Can't wait for Book 3 now 🥺

When the heart knows, when the bond is strong, it knows no bounds. This book threw me at the beginning. Going from how book 1 ended, straight into this one seemed confusing… at first. And then, things started to click and my emotions were all over the place again. This one has some spice, but not a lot. I would As the book got closer and closer to the end I kept thinking “no …. Nooo … no!!! Don’t do it to me again!!” (IYKYK) Thankful, she didn’t. That being said, I need book 3 NOW! Such an awesome series, and the voice actors did a great job keeping me engaged completely. This one has some spice, but not a lot. I would give 🌶️ Definitely recommend this one, but you need to read/listen to book 1 first.
Bloodbond is book 2 in the Dragonborn Queen series. This book resets after book one, and Alina has lost all of her memories. Tynan and Alina's relationship essentially starts over. In the first half of the book, Alina is held captive, and Tynan has to fight to get her back. Frid, Sol, and Victor are seen more in the second half. I'm enjoying the series, but I can't help but feel that, because of the way the series is written, there wasn't much plot advancement in book two. Middle book syndrome, possibly? Things do end on a cliffhanger with the promise of exciting events for book 3, so we will see how it goes. 4 stars for this one and high hopes for book 3!
Ok so I have to admit for the first 4 chapters I had zero clue what was going on. I was sooo lost! But then all is explained in chapter 5.
This was tense in parts and heart-breaking in others.
This is a little spicier than book 1 but it is tastefully done and does not take away from the plot at all.
The plot was quite slow to progress due to kind of reliving what happened in book 1 but in a different way. The back end of the book has more action and hopefully this continues into book 3.
Overall, I am interested to see where this story goes.

I loved that Tynan and Alina's story starts over in this book. Alina can't remember what happened to them before, and Tynan must help her remember while trying to keep her safe from the tyrants who have taken her. The only catch is that he wants her to remember and choose him again. But will she be in time? Or will the tyrants in the castle ruin it all? Hang on for the cliffhanger. I can't wait to see what happens next!
After the high octane volume 1, Book 2 of this series runs a little slower as we exhaust the unfortunate dilemma of Alina having lost her memory. But once she does regain it, it's back to full throttle action with undeads, dragons and spice. My only drawback was that Alina's new resolve came about 200 (of the 397-ish) pages in. Even Tynan was about to lose his patience with her.
Thank you for the complimentary advanced review copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
got to 77% clearly I thought this was going to have more action like the first. I get that the MMC wants her to recognize him in this alternate version. honestly I was bored. by 50% she finally says his name. I tried to finish it but if the first book was moving this felt like the opposite. yes a slow burn ... but let's move on. just seems like this should have been way shorter instead of a whole book. so, will not be finishing it.

I loved the first book but I just enjoyed this book. I found Alina’s weakness ti be frustrating and too be fair I felt the whole book was unnecessary and the ending of book one was have been better if it was not all a vision. That being said I do feel that the next book is going to be much better because everything has been Set for Alina and Tynan to save their world and destroy the crawlers. I am also hoping for more spice in book 3 as book 2 was very subdued.

This was a fantastic second book in the series! This continues the story of Alina and Tynan where he has to rescue Alina from captivity. There's memory loss, rescuing, trying to find love all over again with tense heartache moments. A little slow at parts and ends on a cliffhanger which sets up for the next book which I think will be a thrilling read!
-I think the fact that none of the first book having actually happened just ruined things for me. The whole book is set in a different scenario, as in, what would have happened if something in book 1 was different. But then the main plot is essentially Alina trying to remember what happened. But it never really happened so I was just confused as to who actually had that vision. Was it hared between just the two of them? Because none of the side character knew what was going on. It really put me off, so I guess I just kept getting distracted when reading.
-I still really liked Tynan. He was very caring in this book because of the vision. But Alina kind of irritated me. She was completely different because the events of the first book really formed her as a character and it was kind of all taken away from her, until she then remembered, but it felt different because none of it actually happened. Also, side note, who the hell is Alina’s brother? I feel like he barely mentioned in the first book but in this one, he was suddenly always mentioned.
-I’m glad that it didn’t end like the first book, I was worried that things would end up like Groundhog Day where each book is a different scenario until Tynan and Alina found the correct one. But, spoilers, everyone still dies? Essentially, I don’t really get the point of the whole vision thing when they just still end up in the same time and place with some similar circumstances.
Although I did enjoy this book the whole vision thing completely made and ruined it. I felt like it was odd and awkward, maybe intentionally but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first.
