Matthew Carver isn't the only one with enemies.

The legendary Orion has been hunting monsters for millennia—he's very good at it. That's why they gave him a constellation in the night sky. But that prowess comes with a price; there are many who hold a grudge against the Hunter. So when someone starts killing Nephilim in Los Angeles with the style of an old foe, there's no doubt that it's personal.

Set between the events of Soul Fraud and Dandelion Audit, Piper's Price is a novella that follows the members of the Matt, Alex, and Orion as they uncover the secret of who is gunning for them, and save the world along the way.

Piper's Price is a perfect starting point for someone who hasn't read The Debt Collection previously to be introduced to the secret supernatural world that lives in the shadows of Los Angeles. It's perfect for fans of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, Stephen Blackmoore's Eric Carter series, or Kevin Hearne's Iron Druid Chronicles.

4.25 rounded up. Really enjoyed this short novella! Loved seeing a specific favorite character that isn’t as prominent in later books (at least in book 4). I enjoyed the humor and adventure as always!

This was a fun novella set in the world of Debt Collection between books 1 and 2. What this book does really well is to focus on how Matt is going through his process of evolution. From almost the wimpy loser at the beginning of book 1 to becoming a capable operator in the series, this novella forms the bridge and a mission to go with.

Some of the seeds of the latter books are indicated in this but the biggest draw clearly is Matt's mentor, Orion. Orion comes across a fantastic bad-ass and yet with human tendencies. Matt also gets his moments to shine as he now learns to take control of his life instead of waiting for things to happen

The lore introduced in this novella is that of the Sirens (of the Odyssey fame) - it was a fun element and cool mythos added to this world. The pacing is fantastic as is the action sequences. Some of the humor and observations are just pointed and fun - so much to love in this novella while we wait for the 5th book of this fantastic series

Andrew did it again
He gave a great adventure while providing all the necessary info in order to make sense even for the people that have or haven't read the rest of the books
Since the book takes place in between the first and second book, it explains why some relationships are stronger between the characters.
As for the story now, he gave a very great consept of revenge and every detail was very well planned.
From the mystery solving aspect where Orion judges the main characters for their inability to conceive nature to the battle scenes in several spots.

Great and short story to read

Although it was a short story and doesn’t carry as much impact as the rest of the novels. It was a good more down to earth story before the branching controlled chaos that is Dandelion Audit. Overall it’s good, but I and greedy and want novels by him. This is a good series for anyone who might want to venture into it, and I highly recommend. Great Job Sigils

Hurrah! A plot!

Because Soul was a nice new idea that worked. A fine first effort.
Dandelion was b*****y awful. You can skip it.
In this semi-prequel, the Author has a good plot. And has done some research.
I would like to point out that the Trojan War happened at least 3.000 years ago. Not 1.000.

Another exceptional addition to the Debt Collection series! This novella has all my favorite things--myths and legends, high-stakes action scenes, and top notch banter. A must read for any fan of fantasy!

This was great

This felt like it could have been book two if you published this first. Thank you for keeping up the good work.
