The first half of the book was thought provoking and interesting. I was keen to read the book to find out what the day to day life of a Headteacher is like, to explore how different schools work, to consider leadership models. I found the problem with the book is the author is very black and white, he is right and every thing else is wrong. His views became more domineering towards the end of the book and subsequently I found it hard to finish. The author is very against prejudice and inequality, a good thing, and yet he seemed very prejudiced against those with a public school/Oxbridge education..... I recommend the first half of the book!!!
