The Chadwick boys are back!! And as endearing and hilarious as ever.
As soon as I got the audiobook in my hands, it was in my ears. Not only because Laura is my favorite and I know that I am always in for a fun, heartfelt, witty, swoony romance, with the most amazing characters - but I also needed to know if we ever find out who has been writing the Taylor Tea 👀.
Archer has some serious inner struggles regarding his feelings for Winnie, his daughter Melody’s nanny, especially as they become close friends. But as much as they both try to fight it, their chemistry is off the charts. He is protective in all of the best ways. There is just the right amount of tension, jealousy and possessiveness to round it all out.
The way Winnie has Melody’s back and is able to easily connect with her is the sweetest, they made an amazing little family.
Get ready for plenty of cameos from some of Laura’s best characters!
This was the most perfect ending to Rosewood River. The epilogues 🥹 it’s always bittersweet to finish a beloved series, but I am ready for the next generation!!
🎙️𝗔𝗨𝗗𝗜𝗢𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 ⇣ Savannah Peachwood and Sebastian York narrate in duet - I listened in one sitting, I couldn’t get enough of their voices together. They nailed the banter and emotions. Savannah’s soft cadence fit Winnie so well, and I loved listening to her southern twang for Melody. Sebastian was phenomenal, portraying all of the Chadwick boys and their shenanigans flawlessly! Produced by Lyric Audiobooks 👏🏼👏🏼

Thank you so much Must Love Audio and Laura Pavlov for the advanced copy!
I cannot believe we are at the end of the Rosewood River series 😭 and what a way to go out! This was a beautiful single dad / nanny romance that will have you loving every second.
Archer was the moody single dad who never did anything for himself, well that was until the sunshine that was Winnie crashed into his world and turned everything bright. Winnie’s energy perfectly matched little Melody and I loved their relationship so much.
Winnie was such a great FMC, a romance writer who hadn’t found her real life book boyfriend to show her the kind of love she wrote about. I loved how she held her own and became one of the family almost instantly!
Such a great, fun quick read that was very enjoyable!

Bonus points for the family, the group chats everything about Laura’s world! The Chaos of the boys and their text banter had me laughing out loud so many times!
Also if you are a fan of Laura’s world there is an absolute gem of a present at the end and I could not be more excited. I am so excited for My Forever Girl, beefcake will be the ultimate MMC!
Thankyou to Laura and Valentine PR for the opportunity to read this one early 🫶🏻🫶🏻
I can’t believe it’s over. What a lovely ending it was too. Laura has done it again and given us a fantastic book that pulls on all the heart strings. Winnie and Archer’s love story was everything I knew it would be. Archer loves so fiercely and is the most outstanding dad. Winnie has the biggest heart in spite of so much hardship she has had to face. Their connection is immediate but neither act on it because of their respective duties to his daughter. Winnie is the perfect match both for Archer but also for his daughter. Finding their “heart moms” was one of the sweetest moments ever. I absolutely loved this one and am BEYOND excited for where we are heading next!
Audiobook lovers must listen to this one. Sebastian York and Savannah Peachwood are two of my favorites for a reason and this audio is the perfect example of why. They put so much emotion and thought into their performances which just really enhances the overall story. A fantastic listen.
Thank you so much to Laura and Valentine PR for this ALC in return for my honest review. My opinions are my own.
I could not put this book down—I read almost the entire thing in one day! I’m so sad the Rosewood River series is over… I need more! 😭
The Chadwick boys have become some of my favorite characters, and Archer absolutely did not disappoint. In book #6 of the Rosewood River series, we follow Archer—cousin to the Chadwick brothers—and Winnie, the woman he hires as a nanny for his loving, spunky five-year-old daughter, Melody.
Winnie is the perfect nanny, even though she’s never been around kids before, and Archer is the most devoted single dad who adores his daughter above all else. Despite their age gap, these two fit together beautifully, and the love Winnie develops for Melody truly steals the show.
Give me a single dad + nanny romance any day. 🥰 Thank you to Laura Pavlov and Valentine PR for allowing me to read and review this advanced copy!
TROPES ✨ 🤍 No Third-Act Breakup 👨👧 Single Dad 🍼 Nanny 🏡 Small-Town Romance 📏 Age Gap
What a way to end a series. It’s always so hard for me to pick a favorite of Laura’s but I think this was it. I was hooked from OG 1 & did not want to put it down.
Archie, Winnie & Melody were perfect. I absolutely adored Melody (besides beefcake she’s def my favorite kid from a book) she was just the sweetest most lovable person. Archie was… chefs kiss. Perfection. That man could no wrong in my eyes. Winnie was the real crowd pleaser though. I loved her so much and saw a lot of myself in her.
Laura always has a way of making me swoon & this was no different. If she wrote 5 more books just about this couple, I would gladly read. She’s my favorite author for a reason.
I’m so excited for everyone to read this story. I couldn’t get enough.
Super sweet and cute romance about a single dad with an adorable 5 year old and the nanny. Winnie is a 24 year old author recovering from a divorce and looking for a fresh start.
Archie is the single dad raising his daughter Melody and running his own real estate company.
Sparks start flying almost from the beginning between Winnie and Archie. What will happen next?
Sebastian York and Savannah Peachwood do a banger of a job on the duet narration. Sebyo's voice is swoon worthy.
ARC Review Winnie is out for a fresh start. Except it does not go the way she expects- she’s late for her job interview and shows up a complete mess. Archer is not going to hire someone who flakes on an interview and Winnie changes his mind. Their love story is a slow burn and watching it unfold is truly special. I am a sucker for text conversations and the ones in this book are EVERYTHING!!
ℝ𝕖𝕒𝕕 𝕚𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕝𝕠𝕧𝕖: 💕Single Dad x Nanny 📰Small Town Romance 🎀Will They/Won’t They 💚Age Gap 🏠Found Family 📖Romance Author 🥞Forced Proximity
The end of an era. The final book in the ℝ𝕠𝕤𝕖𝕨𝕠𝕠𝕕 ℝ𝕚𝕧𝕖𝕣 series. 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔. Laura Pavlov delivers a swoon worthy single dad x nanny, age gap romance that stole my heart from the first page. 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 was an easy 5 star read with heartwarming moments, tension for days, banging banter, and spice that had me blushing like a fool. No one writes small town romance like Laura Pavlov.
Winnie arrives in ℝ𝕠𝕤𝕖𝕨𝕠𝕠𝕕 ℝ𝕚𝕧𝕖𝕣 post-divorce and in need of a fresh start. Things don’t quite go to plan when she is late to her interview for a job she desperately needs. With her head held high, she walks in to face her “would be boss” Archer Chadwick. With one glance Archer’s annoyances turns to compassion; after pleading her case, Archer agrees to hire Winnie on as a nanny for his 5-year-old daughter, Melody.
It was clear from the start; Winnie was a force to be reckoned with. She is strong, well spoken, and can hold her own. 👏🏻She has baggage [don’t we all] but that isn’t slowing her down. She is a romance author ✍🏻 working on her next book [with some fantastic tropes I might add😉] and fits right in with the girls for Boozy Brunch. Little Melody takes to her immediately and that's when my heart completely melted. Winnie and Melody had a lot in common in the parent department and formed the sweetest bond. Winnie is a natural caring for Melody, I could not get enough of these two together. 💕
Melody is the star of the show. She is the cutest little girl, pure and innocent. Seeing her get a win after being dealt a bad hand was everything! Savannah Peachwood absolutely NAILED the narration of little Melody. 💕👏🏻🎀
Archer Chadwick, my man!! It takes a real man to step up and be a father and Archer did just that. It took all of two seconds for me to fall head over heels for him. He was all business and straight to the point, he doesn’t date and his one and only concern is his little girl. The bond they shared was beyond adorable. 🥹 I giggled, Archer knew he was in trouble the moment he locked eyes with Winnie. The internal battle of “is it worth it” mixed with a little jealousy looked real nice on him too! 😮💨🥰
The “will they, won’t they” tension builds so well. Archer and Winnie were fun, playful, and so flirty together. I loved it! [That text exchange☺️] The way this man worshipped Winnie was everything. 🥵👌🏻
"𝒴𝑜𝓊 𝒸𝒶𝓃 𝒶𝓁𝓌𝒶𝓎𝓈 𝓌𝒽𝒾𝓈𝓅𝑒𝓇 𝓈𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉 𝓃𝑜𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔𝓈 𝓉𝑜 𝓂𝑒."
The fact that Winnie was the missing piece to their family was undeniable. They worked so well together, not only to care for Melody but supporting one another as individuals. This is so much more than just two people falling in love, it is three of the most deserving people falling in love and becoming a family. 🥹💚

𝙈𝙮 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚. 𝙈𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩. 𝙈𝙮 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚.
My man, Bridger Chadwick is an absolute menace! 😂😂 He still [very much] hates The Taylor Tea and is still absolutely hilarious! Bridger playing such a large role in Archer’s story was such a treat. If you were wondering… the toilet jokes are still alive and well 🚽 and the Chadwick group chat 📱had me bursting out laughing many, many times.
📰The answer we’ve all been waiting for…. The writer of The Taylor Tea is 𝘍𝘐𝘕𝘈𝘓𝘓𝘠 revealed, and it’s the last person you’d ever expect. I have loved every second of the gossip collum throughout this series and I loved how it all played out.
A perfect ending to an amazing series, this one was bittersweet. I did not want this book to end. 🥹💚💚
𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬!
🎧The audiobook is a MUST! Savannah Peachwood and Sebastin York delivered a perfect performance; I literally could not stop listening. Savannah NAILED the little voice of Melody and the spicy scenes… 🥵☺️ma’am!! 10/10! This is one of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to, it’s that good!!
💚HUGE thanks to Laura Pavlov and Valentine PR for gifting me an ALC of 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔!
Thank you for the ARC! • Age Gap • Single Dad • Nanny • Small Town • Spicy
I do enjoy a single dad x nanny trope and I enjoyed the plot overall: Winnie needs a job while she writes her next spicy romance book and Archer needs a nanny to look after his sweet 5-year-old daughter Melody. I did feel like the pacing was off. There were multiple events and holidays that took place during this book, and they were either completely skipped, or very little time was spent on them. I would have loved to see more of them in Paris or during other events near the end of the book. There was mention of them talking multiple times a day, texting about mundane things, but I would have rather been shown it on the page (more telling than showing in this book). Something I really like in other series is when we get to see cameos from other couples hitting milestones. The wedding in Paris was non-existent and the epilogue just felt like a way to cram everything in and wrap this series up in a bow before she writes the next one.
The writing was fine, but like I mentioned above, there was more telling than showing. There were also a few phrases that were starting to annoy me (“you need not worry” – just sounded too formal to me).
I liked Winnie and Archer in general. Archer was a super sweet dad that did have book boyfriend tendencies. On that note, while I appreciate trying to bring the booktok/bookstagram world into the book, I really didn’t need the reminders. Yes all the girls are obsessed with romance books and an author she meets later in the book mentions the being in an interconnected series. It was just too on the nose for me, but I bet others will love it haha Also, Winnie is currently writing a book about a single dad and a nanny… I needed this to play more into the plot/romance of THIS BOOK or not be mentioned at all. I don’t know maybe she brings up how the single dad in her book is hesitant to trust after issues with his baby momma but knowing she was writing about the tropes she was living, and it not coming up more just made it seem like irrelevant information. I loved Melody, but I always love the kids in these books. She was sweet and I found her behavior and the things she said totally believable. As an auntie myself, I definitely could relate to Bridger wanting to hold a grudge against a mean 5 year old haha We do see Archer go on a date with Samantha and I feel like he character was written for us to hate her and not in a good way. I think her personality and not liking kids was laid on a bit too thick and the readers could have decided we didn’t like her with far less information. Lastly, I feel like seeing her ex-husband for the last time was built up to be anticlimactic. I do have a tendency of thinking there is too little or too much with ex confrontations in romance books so that might just be on me.
For the romance, it didn’t start out too insta-lusty, but then it popped off haha at one point he is standing between her legs while she sits on the counter, and her reaction is very chill. Like they have had very little encounters this direction and as he touches her cheek, she barely says anything about it. There are also some big/important conversations they have in text and while I know that age range (my age range) generally communication, I didn’t love that. Archer also apologized pretty early on for being so hot and cold with her… and then continued to be hot and cold with her. Make up your mind my guy! The last thing I will say for the romance is I did read 4 other books in this series (2 of which I DNF’d) and I do not understand the obsession with the FMC wanting to put the condom on. I mean maybe 1 or 2 of them but I feel like all 5 FMCs made a point about putting the condom on…
Overall, it was your standard romance book but I think it was just a 3 star read for me.
Oh my goodness, did Laura Pavlov just deliver the absolute best ending to the Rosewood River Series or what? Yes, yes, she did. Whisper Sweet Nothings was everything I love about a small-town single dad romance, and it might just be my new favorite of the series. (I also think that I might say that with each new book, but this author never disappoints.) Saying goodbye to Rosewood River is bittersweet. While I’m sad to say goodbye to this town and these characters, watching my favorite Rosewood River single dad finally get this HEA was everything.
Let’s talk about that trope list. You’ve got single dad, nanny, age gap, forced proximity and of course, the quintessential small town of Rosewood River. This book delivered the perfect cocktail of some of my favorite tropes. You get all the tropes and all the feelings. Archer is so protective and honorable, resisting his attraction to Melody’s nanny, which makes the slow-burn agonizing in the best way. The age gap is handled so well. Despite Archer’s concern that he and Winnie were in different stages of life, they were genuinely suited to each other, making the age difference feel completely irrelevant. The forced proximity with Winnie living in the casita really ratcheted up the tension. I might’ve screamed “just do it already” at my Kindle a time or two. And, of course, the cozy, nosy-but-loving atmosphere of Rosewood River is in full force. Inquiring minds want to know and we finally unmask the identity of the writer of The Taylor Tea!
I fell in love with these characters immediately. I mean I already knew Archer but, in this book, you learn that he is truly what book boyfriend dreams are made of. Archer is an acts of service guy and I ate that up. It’s love in action, no words necessary. He’s chivalrous at times and a little feral at others. (Brenner anyone?) And boy can he bring the dirty talk. 🥵 Winnie is this sweet and determined old soul. She is patient, fun, and brings order and color back into Archer and Melody’s life. Melody is, without a doubt, one of the most adorable kids I’ve read in a romance. She is sassy, smart, and falls for "my Winnie" instantly, which makes Archer’s resistance to his feelings even more delicious. Archer and Winnie’s chemistry is undeniable, and when they finally come together it is incredibly satisfying. The way they built a family and supported one another was absolutely beautiful. I loved the heartfelt lesson that love doesn’t clip your wings. Love allows you to soar.
As the last book in the series, it was wonderful to see all the couples from the previous books show up to support each other, but this definitely works as a standalone. I enjoyed the Honey Mountain, Cottonwood Cove and Magnolia Falls easter eggs. And they’re all connected by the one and only Cutler Heart (aka “Beefcake”). Forget six degrees of Kevin Bacon. This is six degrees of Cutler Heart. I fell in love with these characters from the start—the first page in the first book—but I am in awe of the people they matured into by the final page.
Whisper Sweet Nothings is the perfect culmination of this series. If you want a steamy, heartwarming, and emotional conclusion to a series with excellent big family dynamics, found family moments, and the cutest 5-year-old around that will make you want to move to a small town, pick this up immediately! The extended epilogue is perfection, and the sneak peek of My Forever Girl made me giddy with excitement for things to come. Needless to say, I will be first in line for the Blue Sky Bay Series.
🍯🏡 A single dad, a live-in nanny, and a small town that cannot mind its own business. Soft hearts, stolen glances, and just enough tension to make it delicious. 🏡🍯
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Spice-meter: 🌶️☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Audiobook: 🎧 Duet Series: Rosewood River, Book 6 (interconnected standalone) HEA: Yes
Whisper Sweet Nothings was my first book by Laura Pavlov, and let me be very clear: she did not come to play. This is the final book in the Rosewood River series, and you can absolutely start here without feeling lost. If anything, it makes you want to go back and meet the entire chaotic, loud, and wildly lovable Chadwick clan.
This is a small-town, single dad x nanny, age-gap romance that knows exactly how to mix warmth, longing, and emotional payoff. It is not about explosive spice. It is about connection, family, and that slow, dangerous moment when feelings show up uninvited.
The Story
Archer is a devoted single dad whose world revolves around his five-year-old daughter, Melody. Enter Winnie, the nanny who doesn’t just keep the house running, but quietly brings life back into it. She fixes cars, bakes like a pro, and loves Melody with her whole heart.
What follows is a deliciously forbidden slow burn full of stolen looks, late-night kitchens encounters, and lines that keep blurring until no one remembers where they started. Archer loves fiercely, not just Winnie but his entire family, and that emotional depth makes him impossible not to fall for. Winnie, despite her painful past, is all warmth, resilience, and heart.
And then there is the found family chaos. The group chats. The brothers. The teasing. The love. It feels real, loud, and wonderfully messy.
🎧 Narration
Performed in duet by Savannah Peachwood and Sebastian York, and honestly, this audiobook should come with a warning label: do not start unless you have nothing else planned.
Savannah’s soft, emotional delivery fits Winnie perfectly, and her Southern twang for Melody is ridiculously adorable. Sebastian absolutely owns Archer and every single Chadwick brother. The banter, the tenderness, the emotional beats, all of it lands exactly where it should. This is one of those rare audiobooks that actively elevates the story.
What I Loved
✔️ A swoon-worthy, fiercely loving single dad ✔️ Winnie’s huge heart and quiet strength ✔️ Found family and chaotic group chats ✔️ Small-town warmth that actually feels alive ✔️ Emotional payoff that hits hard
Tropes & Vibes
✔️ Single Dad x Nanny ✔️ Age Gap (24/34) ✔️ Small Town ✔️ Close Proximity ✔️ Forbidden Romance ✔️ Found Family ✔️ Friends to Lovers ✔️ Dual POV
Final Thoughts
Whisper Sweet Nothings is warm, emotional, and quietly powerful. It doesn’t rely on heavy spice to make you feel everything. It relies on love, family, and two people who find home in each other when they least expect it.
If you want a heart-tugging, small-town romance with top-tier audiobook narration and a family you will wish you belonged to, this one absolutely delivers. And yes, you will be smiling like an idiot by the end.
🏡 Small Town Romance 👨👧 Single Dad 🧸 Nanny Trope 🎂 Age Gap 💼 Boss / Employee 🏠 Forced Proximity 🔥 Slow Burn 💞 Found Family 🛟 Healing After Loss 😤 Protective Hero 🥰 Warm, Sunshine Heroine ❤️ Falling for the Caregiver
Star: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Narrator: Sebastain York | Savannah Peachwood
Whisper Sweet Nothings closes the Rosewood River series with a soft, emotional, and comforting romance that feels like coming home. Laura Pavlov leans into everything readers love about this world, the warmth of a small town, tight knit friendships, and characters who feel like real people rather than romance archetypes. This story centers on Winnie and her broody single dad boss Archer, and from the very beginning their dynamic is tender, playful, and full of quiet tension.
Winnie is impossible not to adore. She is capable, independent, and nurturing without losing her personality. She fits seamlessly into the household, caring for his daughter while also challenging Archer in ways no one else has. Her competence, from fixing things to caring deeply for the people around her, makes her feel grounded and believable. Archer carries the weight of grief and responsibility, and his protective nature is balanced by vulnerability that slowly surfaces as Winnie becomes essential to both his daughter and his life.
The single dad and nanny trope shines here because the emotional stakes are constant. Every shared breakfast, bedtime routine, and small domestic moment builds the relationship naturally. The age gap and boss employee dynamic add tension without making the romance uncomfortable. Instead, it creates hesitation, longing, and plenty of internal conflict. Their attraction simmers for a long time, and the slow burn makes every moment of closeness feel earned.
What really elevates the book is the found family aspect. The daughter is not just background decoration. She is central to the emotional arc, and her bond with Winnie is genuinely sweet. The town and returning characters from previous books appear just enough to give longtime readers closure while still keeping the story accessible as a standalone. By the end, it feels less like finishing a romance and more like saying goodbye to a group of friends.
The romance itself is heartfelt and intimate, focusing on healing and choosing love again after loss. The pacing stays steady, the chemistry is strong, and the emotional payoff lands beautifully. As a final installment, it wraps the Rosewood River series with warmth and satisfaction, giving longtime readers exactly what they were hoping for while delivering a comforting, swoony small town love story on its own.
This was such a soft, swoony way to close out one of my favorite series. Archer & Winnie are perfect. I was hooked from their very first awkward meeting. Single dad x nanny always gets my attention, but this one felt especially layered because it was not just about attraction. It was about trust, timing, & letting yourself want something again. Both Archer & Winnie have similar journeys, but the way they each handle their fears & wants are so different, which is part of what makes this story so good!
Winnie was such a strong FMC. She's rebuilding after a divorce, chasing her dream as a romance author, & somehow walks into this household with zero nanny experience to become the safest place for Melody, Archer's adorable 5-year-old daughter. I loved how naturally that bond developed.
Melody truly is the heart of this story. She's not just a cute side character but has depth & such a tender little soul. The way she loves her dad, the way she wholeheartedly attaches to Winnie, & the quiet strength she shows after some tough moments completely got me.
Now Archer... the guarded, all-business single dad who swears he does not date - I have been waiting for his story & he did not disappoint. His entire world revolves around his daughter, & watching his walls crack for Winnie was chef's kiss. The age gap & boss x employee dynamic adds delicious tension. And let's just say the slow burn pays off.
We need to take a moment for the BANTER. The Chadwick brothers remain elite. The group chats, the teasing, the chaos. I literally laughed out loud (warning when reading in public). This was next level & I ate it all up.
Beyond the romance, what really landed was the found family element. This was not just two people falling in love but three people choosing each other. By the end, I felt full & more than a little emotional.
And Laura doesn't leave us hanging - the epilogue leads us right into the story us fans have been screaming for... Beefcake's!!!!!
🏡 Small Town 💋 Age Gap (10 yrs) ❣️ Single Dad x Nanny 🫶 Found Family 🛏️ Forced Proximity 💕 She's a romance author 🔥 Slow Burn ✌🏻 Dual POV
I received this ALC YESTERDAY and finished today. I have 3 kids and a full time job… let’s just say, I’ve neglected some duties because I was hooked on this book. 🎧🤩
“Whisper Sweet Nothings” by Laura Pavlov is a standalone romance novel and #6 and last book in the Rosewood River series. 🌹
💕 Age Gap (10 years) 💕 Single Dad 💕 Dad x Nanny 💕 Found Family 💕 Small Town
Archer “Archie” is a single dad, raising his sweet daughter Melody on his own after his baby mama decided she didn’t want to be a mom. He’s hesitant to let new people in, but lately he’s been needing more help— at the encouragement from his family, he decides to hire a nanny.
…cue Winnie: she’s a 24 y/o romance author and divorcee (high-school-sweethearts-turned-marriage-gone-wrong) looking for a job to help pay the bills while she gets her career off the ground. She never expected to fall in love with the family who hired her. She also didn’t expect her career to take off quite so fast. Can she find a way to balance it all?
But can we all gush about sweet Melody—Archie’s daughter? With a heart of gold and an ability to find the good in the most awful situation, she’s an anomaly. She has the sweetest relationship with her Dad, and immediately falls for “her Winnie” upon meeting. 😍
I also just love the cast of characters in this series: there is such an established group of girls that support each other in every way, but what I really love is the text chain and relationships amongst the brothers. So funny and always such a fun side element to these books when they turn to each other for advice and just take turns roasting one another. 🤣
🎧 The audio version of this book was so incredibly well done. I loved both Sebastian York and Savannah Peachwood 🍑 - they truly brought these characters to life. Nicely done! 👏
Huge thank you to Valentine PR for the ALC in exchange for my honest review!!
ARC Read! Thank you VPR and Laura Pavlov for this ARC!
I loved this book so much 🥹 I will FOREVER be a sucker for the single dad trope, and with a nanny that lovessss the child *chefs kiss* Laura is amazing with making her characters so relatable and makes you feel like you’re part of their family.
Archer- I love a man who is emotionally guarded because of his past with his daughter’s mother, but had his walls crumble for the right woman. He is so loving and caring, and so supportive. He was such a complete opposite from Winnie’s ex-husband and that’s what made this story more beautiful.
Winnie- she was a great FMC, she was so free spirited and fun and dependable and had an old soul. The way that she loved his daughter right from the start was the sweetest. She always treated her with respect and never talked down to her. She really stepped up as not only a mother figure but a friend. They bond they had was everything.
Melody- she is the sweetest little girl ever 🥹
I loved the tension between Archer and Winnie, and how their connection and chemistry blossomed. I loved the age gap between them, but kept getting annoyed when archer kept bringing it up, and loved how Winnie expressed it. Their character development was amazing 🙌🏼
I had loved the banter between all of the Chadwick boys and LOVED how it still did not disappoint in this final book! Their banter literally had me in tears from laughing. The bathroom scene with Winnie, Melody, and Archer had me DYING! IYKYK 🤣
I am so sad that this series has come to an end. But it’s not over for me because I need to still go back and read the first 2 books, so that makes me extremely happy to still be in their world! I am excited for the blue sky bay series because FINALLY Cutler aka Beefcake gets a book and I couldn’t be more happier! 👏🏼
ALSO WE FINALLY FOUND OUT WHO WROTE THE TAYLOR TEA! 👀👀👀
A Small Town, Single Dad, Nanny, Age Gap Standalone Romance from USA Today and Amazon #1 Bestselling Author, Laura Pavlov.
Winnie Smith is the perfect nanny. She’s reliable, warm, and my daughter adores her. She cooks like a pro, styles pigtails like a fairy godmother, and knows her way around a car engine better than most mechanics. She’s made life easier. The house feels full again. And maybe… so do I. But living under the same roof has its challenges. Like catching her in the kitchen after midnight… barefoot, in tiny sleep shorts, eating ice cream straight from the tub. Don’t even get me started on the way that her lips wrapped around that spoon. I digress. It shouldn’t mean anything. She’s a decade younger. I’m her boss. She’s off-limits. And yet, it’s all I can think about. I was just looking for a nanny—not nightly cold showers and definitely not feelings. But the more we blur the lines, the harder it is to keep pretending. We say it’s temporary. No strings. Just one harmless arrangement. But what if she’s not just what my daughter needs… What if she’s exactly what I’ve been missing too?
Oh My I Loved this Audiobook so Much!! Thank You Valentine PR and Laura Pavlov for the Opportunity to listen to the audiobook in advance! Winnie was great, omg was she great. Going through a Divorce at such a Young age dealing with yes a man-child must have not been the best. Now having to deal with a Single Daddy, Sebastian York was the Best Archer! Like for real these two Narrators are some of my other favorites. Savannah Peachwood was the Best Winnie and Little Melody! Like seriously even if you are not into audiobooks these two together are worth a Listen.
Love..love…loved!!! I loved this series before…but this book seriously just blew me away!! I could not wait for this one and it seriously did not disappoint!! Archer is a single father of an adorable daughter and is in need of a nanny. His former nanny was a bit older and on the lazy side…so he definitely needs a change…and soon. Winnie is a budding author and was recommended for the nanny job…and she definitely needs the challenge. She has just ended a marriage and needs a job. The first impression with these two was not the best….but it definitely got better from there. Winnie blows the old nanny away and goes above and beyond in her job duties. She loves her job and Melody loves her new nanny…and they have the most amazing bond. But it’s the budding relationship between Winnie and Archer that is the most intriguing. Boy was I here for these two!! These two have a push and pull like no other. This is a cat and mouse game for the ages. These two have undeniable chemistry and fun banter…but they are extremely cautious about where the relationship can go. This well layered story sucked me in at page one and never let me go…in the best possible way. These characters had amazing depth and told one heck of a story. A story about family, loyalty and everything in between. Let’s not forget his meddling family and everything they bring to the table…this series would not be so incredibly entertaining without them. Those text feeds keep me laughing out loud every time! Then you end this book by telling me that beefcakes book is next! I actually shed a tear! I could not be more excited to read a book….bring on Beefcakes story!!
Whisper Sweet Nothings Rosewood River Series, Book 6 By: Laura Pavlov Narrated by: Sebastian York, Savannah Peachwood
All the feels come together in this visit to Rosewood River! It's Archer and Winnie's turn, and after a rocky start, he hires her as his daughter Melody's nanny. No experience with children, she and Melody become fast friends and her Sweet Pea is the light of her life. But that doesn't stop the amount of time Archer spends with Melody and as a result with Winnie. This instant family finds itself falling in love all around even though Archer is doing his best to keep Winnie at arm's length. When her writing career takes off though, Archer comes to the conclusion that he needs to step back and let her spread her wings. Protecting his heart is necessary, and this is the way, right? Bullying at school, age gap issues, delicious meals and I can't forget the Taylor T giving it's news. Oh, and Beefcake giving his sage advice is still my favorite. Laura Pavlov has stolen my heart again and Rosewood River has been a fabulous small town to visit.
Sebastian York and Savannah Peachwood are the story tellers, and I could not get enough of their narration. York is so good at the single dad. Archer's love for Melody shines through his voice, and then it turns and I could hear the stars in his eyes as he was falling for Winnie. Peachwood uses her talent as Winnie, the confident woman she is, knowing what she wants and slowly giving in to her feelings. Then she is Melody, so good as this little girl with a sweet spirit. I loved this listen and highly recommend grabbing it!
I don’t even know where to start with this one because my heart is still a little wrecked in the best way 😭💕 This story was everything I wanted and more. I absolutely fell in love with Archer and Winnie their chemistry, their tension, the way their relationship slowly blurred from something practical into something deeply emotional. It was swoony, messy, tender, and at times just a little chaotic in that way that makes you feel everything all at once. But can we talk about Melody for a second?! That sweet baby girl completely stole the show for me. Every scene with her melted my heart. The way she brought them together, the warmth she added to the home, the softness she created in both Archer and Winnie… I was done for. Completely. This book had that perfect mix of sweetness, longing, and emotional pull. I found myself smiling one minute and clutching my chest the next. Watching them try to fight their feelings while clearly being exactly what the other needed was just chef’s kiss. So many tender moments, so many scenes that made me swoon. And I can’t believe this is the end of the Chadwick brothers’ stories. It feels so bittersweet saying goodbye to this era of the world 😭 I’m not ready to let them go, but I’m also SO excited for what’s coming next. really gave us a beautiful, emotional send-off. This felt like a hug, a heartache, and a happy ending all wrapped into one . Swoony, heartfelt, slightly chaotic, and full of love the perfect ending and the start of something new. I already can’t wait for the next generation.
This book gave me all the cozy small-town romance feels I come to this series for—and then some. I absolutely loved these characters and the way their relationship developed. The emotional maturity? Chef’s kiss. They actually have the hard conversations, and there’s no frustrating third-act breakup or endless miscommunication dragging things out. It was refreshing and made their connection feel real and earned. Listening to the audio brought them to life and I loved it so much!
Winnie and Archer are genuinely couple goals. Their dynamic is tender, supportive, and full of those quiet, meaningful moments that make you root for them hard. The single dad + nanny + off-limits boss/employee tension adds just enough slow-burn angst, especially with the forced proximity of living together. The age-gap element is handled thoughtfully, and it never felt uncomfortable or overly dramatic—just layered and human.
Bridger absolutely stole my heart, and I loved how much emotional depth the story had through his presence. And can we talk about the small-town gossip? I loved that we finally find out who’s behind the gossip column in Rosewood River. No spoilers, but longtime series readers are going to be very satisfied.
If you’re a fan of small-town romance with emotional growth, found family vibes, single dad energy, and mature communication (yes, please), this one is such a rewarding read. It feels like a love letter to the whole series and a beautiful continuation of the Rosewood River world.
Thank you to the author and Valentine PR for the advanced audio book.
The last Chadwick in this series! This is so sad! I loved the Chadwick men so much! The final ARC review of the last book in this series!
Archer Chadwick, hot single-dad. There, I said it. I think he might be my favorite Chadwick, and I loved Bridger and Rafe. His daughter, Melody, is the cutest little Chadwick ever. I am so glad that Archer finally was ready to get a new nanny. It was overdue. I love that we got to meet a new character and I absolutely loved her.
The jokes in this one had me laughing so much. The boys are so in tuned now that everyone is either married or paired off. Winnie fit in so well with the girls and with Archer and Melody. I love how she needed them in her life just as much as they needed her. With no nanny experience, she was still able to get along with Melody so much. I love how she was able to her her dad in the way Archer cared for and loved Melody. You know how people always say pick wisely who you marry because they will be the ones who will be the parents for your kids.
Archer was terrified of her and terrified of falling in love with her, but c'mon, you will always fall for the hot nanny! I love how this book closed so many secrets. We can actually peacefully end this series!
I loved these two together and surprised they held off this long. I loved this series! I can't wait to see what else Laura has for us this year. I always say nothing can top a series and she somehow always has something better!
When Laura writes a series you know that no matter where you start you are going to love all the characters. Archer is a single dad to a beautiful little girl and with the help of his parents, brother, aunt, uncle and cousins he has raised her to know that love surrounds her. When the time comes that he has to hire a nanny to help him out, he realizes just how much his previous nanny didn’t do and how nice it is to have actual help. What he didn’t expect was to catch feelings for the one person he is trying to not have them for. Here is what I know with this story. I absolutely love the way Winnie is with Melody. Two people that don’t know their moms for similar reasons. She shows Melody that no matter what, she is loved so fully and completely. It is the moments between these two that add so much to this storyline. Archer realizes that he needs so much more from Winnie, but he has to take a huge risk, and he doesn’t believe that it will work out. He has been dealt hurt before and that risk again, especially with his daughter’s heart, is not something that he wants to chance. But the way he and Winnie start to work through the little insecurities they both have brings you into the story at a different level. The family chats still had me cracking up each and every time and it is those lighthearted moments that bring even more love into this story. Yet another fantastic story that brings all the emotions and keeps you wrapped up until the last word is read.
I knew this book would outshine the others because each story in this series has just gotten better than the one before. I am so incredibly sad that this series is over, but the joy of owning these stories, is we can fall in love with these characters all over again as many times as we desire.
Archer and his precious daughter Melody are on the hunt for a new nanny. At first, Archer isn't sure this will work because his potential new nanny is late for her interview. But when she shows up after a disastrous journey to his office, he knows that if she can walk all that way after her car broke down, that she at least deserves a chance.
Winnie is determined to start her life over after her marriage imploded. She wants something new and to find her joy again. She is instantly smitten with Melody, who has a heart of gold. I just loved how Winnie was with Melody. She was more than just a nanny, she was Melody's friend and their bond was just beautiful.
Archer is a bit hot and cold with Winnie at first but eventually he admits to himself that it's because she just might be becoming more than just the nanny for his daughter. Archer hasn't thought much about a forever kind of love since Melody's mother left them. The last thing he wants is for his daughter's heart to be broken again.
And halleluiah we finally find out who is writing the Taylor Tea. I knew Laura wouldn't leave us hanging...we have been hanging on and guessing for 6 books now.
This story was just the most perfect way to end this series. And now bring on Beefcake's story.
Archer and Winnie were the perfect way to end the Chadwick’s series.
These two absolutely stole my heart especially with sweet little Melody thrown in the mix too.
Winnie was looking for a fresh start after her divorce & finding a new job as a nanny wasn’t exactly how she thought it would all pan out but she was willing to fight for it.
Archer was finally coming to terms with the fact that he needed a new nanny for his sweet Melody. But he never expected someone like Winnie showing up & leaving him off balanced.
Winnie immediately took to Melody & their sweet relationship was absolutely heartwarming. I feel like Melody was exactly what Winnie’s heart needed. And Archer was just the extra sweet surprise.
While Winnie works on writing her next book whilst also watching Melody, she finds herself falling for her boss. Their attraction to one another was instantaneous & the chemistry was off the charts. They just fit so well together.
I absolutely enjoyed this book, heck this whole series, because this family is so easy to fall in love with. And although it breaks my heart it’s over I am also so excited that we get to see Cutler all grown up.
And even that makes me all teary eyed because Beefcake 😩
This was such a good book & I highly recommend it. Heck I recommend this series & all her others, you will absolutely fall in love too.
** Audio Review ** Swoon! Whisper Sweet Nothings by Laura Pavlov was a sweet and sentimental small town romance that had me completely giddy and kicking my feet. I couldn’t get enough of Winnie and Archer’s slow burning, magnetic chemistry that had me rooting for this single dad and nanny to find true happiness together! I have loved Rosewood River soooo much!
Savannah Peachwood and Sebastian York perform this audiobook in duet narration. This pairing was perfect to portray Winnie and Archer. Savannah’s soft, soothing tone captured Winnie’s grace and passion while she went after her own dreams. Sebastian’s warm, mature timbre embodied all of Archer’s protective spirit and charm as he gave into his own desires for Winnie. Both narrators created the perfect forbidden age gap vibe that made their connection even hotter.
Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a small town romance with a hot broody commercial broker, a devoted romance author / nanny, an adorable little girl, car issues meet cute, Taylor Tea gossip, Boozy Book club gatherings, weddings in Paris, witty text banter, reindeer pancakes, Valentines birthday gifts, home office gestures, slow burn spice, fancy book tours, airport love declarations, healing from the past, and a HEA that whisper sweet nothings to your heart, then you will love Winnie and Archer’s story. I always look forward to more from Laura Pavlov.
What a way to end an amazing series in Rosewood River ❤️
Savannah Peachwood and Sebastian York did such an incredible job with this audiobook. They literally had me hooked on the story from page 1. I was able to instantly connect with all the characters and I have been since book 1 in this series. Having Archer as the MMC at the end of this series was done so well. Laura really knows how to get you wrapped up in a book and love it so much.
Archer and Winnie were absolute perfection and Melody was the cutest 5 year old ever. Archer knew from dad 1 when Winnie walked into his office for the nanny position drenched and a cut on her knee she was the best fit for his daughter Melody.
Winnie was bond and determined to get the nanny position in Rosewood after leaving Chicago where she got divorced. She wanted something she knew could work out with her writing career.
After a while these two couldn’t stop the feelings that were growing between them. They knew they had chemistry. And you definitely can feel it, these two were absolutely made for one another.
I loved how protective and passionate Archer was towards Winnie. He never stopped her wanting to achieve her dreams.
This book was everything to me and if you want a small town with an amazing family I highly recommend this series.
Tropes Single dad Small town Forced proximity Nanny Age gap Found family Slow burn
Whisper Sweet Nothings by Laura Pavlov is the final book in the Rosewood River series, and what a bittersweet, beautiful sendoff it is.
Archer Chadwick. Single dad, guarded heart, carrying baggage he doesn’t always know how to unpack, hires Willow as a nanny. She’s ten years younger. She’s off-limits. She’s living under his roof. What could possibly go wrong?
Everything. And everything right.
Willow doesn’t just fall for Archer, she falls head over heels for his daughter first, and that’s what makes this story hit so deeply. The tenderness between them, the slow blur of professional lines, the electric chemistry that neither of them can deny… it was magnetic.
Both Archer and Willow carry insecurities from their pasts. Archer especially had to do the work and watching him step up, grow, and learn to love Willow the way she deserved? That was everything.
And the Chadwick family? I will miss them so much. The text threads between the brothers had me laughing one minute and wiping tears the next. Laura Pavlov has such a gift for balancing humor, heart, and heat.
If I wasn’t crying, I was laughing. There was no in between.
Willow coming to Rosewood River as a romance author chasing her dream and watching that dream take off — perfectly tied this series up in the prettiest bow (and yes, that pun is intentional).
This book felt like coming home… and saying goodbye at the same time.
I was kindly given an ARC of Whisper Sweet Nothings and this was so good! I loved reading this, I enjoyed it so much! could not put this down, was obsessed! cannot believe it’s the end to the series :( but this was great! finally Archer has his happy ending and it was worth the wait. he’s so sweet and caring and such a supportive man and a great father. I loved his relationship with Melody, it was beautiful and she is the cutest kid ever. Winnie was a sweetheart, so hardworking and such a kind person. I loved her connection not only with Archer but with Melody too. they were a lovely little family and it’s so cute. Archer and Winnie were great together, he was so supportive and caring and I loved them together, their communication was good and they were open and honest with each other. also finding out who wrote The Taylor Tea… did not expect that!! the found family and friendships in this series again are fantastic, so wholesome and sweet, I love them all. the group chat killed me as always (and the toilet once again hilarious!) the ending was perfect way to end the series, it’s such a bittersweet feeling but loved the epilogue. can’t wait for Cutler’s book!! really enjoyed reading this! (thank you to Laura Pavlov and Valentine PR for the ARC, all opinions are my own) Whisper Sweet Nothings releases February 24! 4.5⭐
